extremely bad, not at all maintained, located in a very busy market, where no car or auto can go till hote, rooms are dated with damp smell. i strongly suggest DO NOT OPT FOR HOTEL CLOSER TO TEMPLE. you can stay outside around 2km vicinity there are tons tons of hotels which are located well and you get lot of parking space as well as auto 24 hours to go to temple. hotel is just not worth it.

Dirty and Disgusting

     No ventilation in room. Not a single window. Bathrooms have no exhaust. Wherever you see, mold is there. Bathroom ceiling, room walls. You get the picture. Stale smell pervades the whole floor. We noticed usage of harsh chemicals by housekeeping staff, wearing masks. Pungent chloriny smell. It was a mistake to book room there. 
      Reception staff is another story. Stiff faces, without any welcoming smile. 
     The only reason we booked this hotel is it's proximity to the Mahakal temple. We felt that reaching the temple at 3 AM for the Bhasma Aarti  is easy from here. Situation is, devotees are queuing up from midnight itself. So, even that advantage also is not there.

Overall advice - Avoid this place.

Hotel is nearby to Mahakal temple & its only 5-10 walkable distance. Food is good in the restaurant & much better than outside restaurants.

Giving only 1 star to Hotel Nandi is because of there rude staff because they all behave like they have provided us rooms at free of cost.
Mr. Anurag, the trap specialist, he will talk very nicely on phone at the time of booking & he will do certain commitments just to attract customers nothing else.
2 of the hotel staff Rohit & one other name is there)I forgot the name) they are just sweet knifes nothing else.
Mr. Anurag & his staff really needs to get training on how to talk with customers as customers have paid you for the rooms & your so called staff dont know this chapter of how to talk.
Mr. Anurag had committed that we will get extra 1 or 2 hours at the time of checkout because we were 8 adults & 4 childrens & the checkout time is 10 am & receptionist will call at 10:30 to leave the room as soon as possible & that too with rude way.

And yes, it was not only me who had arguments with hotel staff there are many other guests who had arguments with hotel staff.

I will not recommend this hotel with unprofessional staff to anyone as you will get many other nearby good hotels.

Good hotel with rude & unprofessional staff.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights during our visit to mahakaleshwar, booked online, price is reasonable, location is excellent, near mahakal chauraha, on mahakaleshwar temple marg, only 5 minutes walking distance away from mahakal temple so the location is perfect for pilgrims who want to visit the temple, mahakal corridor , bhashm aarti etc, only drawback is that cars won't go to the front of the hotel, cars will go only upto mahakal chauraha and after that you have to walk to the hotel so it is not ideal for people who will go by their own car, even autos will not enter the mahakal marg after 8 am in the morning. Rooms are good, have all the modern amenities that can be expected by the travellers, bathroom is fine, 24 hours hot water available, rooms are neat and clean, only drawback is that room service is not upto the mark and front desk people are not that cordial, restaurant is available in ground floor serving vegetarian food but there are so many food options available nearby, that the need for restaurant is not felt, check in and check out process was quick, overall we had a very good stay  at hotel nandi and I will recommend it for sure to the pilgrims who wants to stay very close to the temple.

Excellent hotel close to mahakal temple...

It is at an Excellent location.. near to the temple , clean rooms though staff has to be informed for daily cleaning.  very economical . Good food , you can get rickshaw etc for sightseeing from outside the hotel only . All sites are nearby , walking distance.

Hotels rooms are so small.. Reception and staff are so pathetic.. They do fake commitments and after that they replied. What we can do? This is it . Now u hav to accept what we have given. So i will suggest everyone never ever choose this hotel as this can be trouble maker for your beautiful trip.. Avoid such hotels.

Pathetic Hotel

Don’t get into a trap of booking by looking at rooms pictures , price and by reading “walking distance from Mahakaleshwar Temple”!! Horrible rooms with short term memory loss kind of room service! I didn’t negotiated for price though it was much higher than the price quoted on their website and different hotel sites because as per Mr. Anurag - General Manager, the price mentioned on sites are for standard/ double room but he was providing us premium deluxe room with window for that price!! But when we two (my sister and myself - two females) reached after day long Omkareshwar temple trip from Indore by late evening, it was disheartening to see that there were other lovely hotels very very near to main temple but Hotel Nandi was at quite a distance in a narrow lane!! To our surprise the rooms that he provided us was unimaginably small with untidy bed linens, dirty washroom, no TV in room, window with half constructed wall almost attached to window and the towels which they provided on request, one was as small as hand towel that too torn!! When I complained about what’s promised and what was actually there, Mr Anurag who was not present in hotel that time was kind enough to offer us two options that either we choose rooms that they have shown to us or we can take the refund and look for another hotel at 9 pm!! Will not recommend this place even if it’s newly constructed hotel (2016) as per General Manager, Mr. Anurag.

HORRIBLE

Stayed in the hotel in Aug-19, booked through oyo, impressed with the location near to Mahakal temple, the room provided was having faulty lock, was changed on repeated reminders, other room provided was stinking like anything, had only 1 charging port in the room, washroom was leaking & stinking.
Best part, there is no room service, for any food, you have to go to the restaurant at ground level.
There are better hotels nearby, it's a clear avoid hotel.

Only good thing: Location

Booked through Oyo. Property photos on the app are misleading. 
Pros:
1. Location-only 500m from Mahakaleshwar temple and surrounded by eateries. 

Cons:
1. Hilariously rude staff. They probably train in a Dharamshala where they do us a favour by letting us stay with them. Morning receptionist is the saving grace. Same was mentioned by few other reviews. Should have believed them. 
2. Breakfast starts from 8:30. 
3. Rooms are not well maintained. Fan regulator was broken and 2 of 3 charging points didn't work. Doors don't close untill you lock them. Bathrooms are small, and buckets were dirty. 
4. Room service is slow. Was told to wait 20 min for tea in the room. 

Conclusion: Run down 2 🌟 hotel with standard tariffs. There are many in the same lane which might be better. 

Only for the location. 

This hotel is located near to Mahakal mandir and is located with the marker and resturant as well, If you are staying here you don't need to go any where ,after visiting to the mandir you can come and take rest within 500meters.
