I arrived a little late in the evening and I was desperate to find a proper accommodation. Someone offered me this guesthouse. Only here the owner is not right. He offered me the most expensive room at 1500 rupees, saying he was doing me a favor and that overbooking was a more expensive lie! I had seen another room and he told me that it was the same price again a lie.

Very expensive for me 1500 rupees

If you are looking for a homey place, this is your place. A nicely renovated guest house that is run by a young and energetic Yass(?). He says "Yes" to all your requests, apart from payment by credit card.

The location of the guest house is right inside the alleys of the old city of Varanasi and it is very close to the Ganga river (Just few steps away). It is also in the middle between the different ghats, so it is wonderfull base to wander between the ghats. To arrive to the guest house, you will need to call and get directions and in our case, our flight was delayed and arrived late (22:30) and he came with his baby daughter to show us the way. Take into consideration that from the main road, it is about 7 min walk. As long as you do not have a very heavy luggage, it's really not an issue.

The place has a rooftop restaurant. Everything is cooked fresh and very tasty, but expect that it make take long (regular Indian time). We found the food was very good and they were very accommodating to any request.

The room was nicely designed and clean and all was functioning well. We had the room with the bathroom attached and a great view to the Ganga river with monkeys climbing on the tree next to our balcony (just make sure to close the door to the balcony).

They organized an early morning boat (rowing boat) to see the sunrise. I suggest that if your budget allows a motor boat, check this option, as the rowing man had difficulty rowing against the stream. Also, you need to establish from the very beginning where you will be taken. Otherwise, after the hour, you will be asked to add more money to see more. The sunrise was beautiful, but we did not see many bathers, as the boat was mostly in the south ghats.

Great location, comfort and hospitality

As with many places in Varanasi, you have to walk to this hotel because tuk-tuks aren't allowed in towards the Ghats. It was a bit hard to find and google maps doesn't work that well in the winding alleys. It is well-located, next to the river and ghats. The rooms were fine and reasonably priced. The bathrooms are shared (one on each floor). They are clean. There are desert coolers rather than AC and we had to refill the water ourselves. The proprietor arranged a sunrise boat tour for us for 200 rupees per person (we had 4). The Brown Bread Bakery does advertise a cheaper boat. As a side note, I overpaid the 800-rupee by a factor of 10 (8000 rupees because I thought the 50s were 5s (stupid on my part). The proprietor took the money and was counting it as a walked away. When I realized my mistake a few hours later (I brought it up in front of some other guests that were sitting in the office), after a few minutes wait, he handed the money back to me and said he hadn't counted it.

Decent, reasonably priced place

We stayed 2 nights at Paradise inn, we found it very well located and pretty handy to stop by at anytime during the day if needed. The staff was lovely, the rooms very decent for the price and the shower/ bathroom was clean. There is a under construction rooftop from which you can see monkeys and the Gange. We all agree on recommending this place for a stay in Varanasi. 

Nice place to stay while visiting Varanasi

Stay here! It is very nice home with nice family and your privacy is respected. It is in the central ghat area where there is no car access so be prepared to walk the last part of your journey to reach the guest house. The rooms and facilities are very clean and your hosts make a killer masala chai! Also very good place to receive information about local activities. The Ganga can be seen from some rooms and the terrace and is just a quick walk from the place - it is very good.

Good value guesthouse in Varanasi

We went to another hotel where we were staying because of the dirt in it and ended up in Paradise Inn, which came to give us the peace we needed.The place is very clean, quiet and with a family atmosphere.The hostel owner is charming and speaks fluent English, so you can express yourself perfectly.He also has a travel agency.

 Clean and simple, just what is needed.

This guest house sits almost on top of the river just meters from the steps to the ghats.  My room even had a view of the river off the balcony (and a view of monkeys at some points).  I had my own bathroom with a great shower and plenty of room.  Yashi is super nice and helpful.  He arranged a guide and a number of tours of the city and Saranth for me.  Overall the experience was amazing but I have to admit the location is the best part.  Being so close to the river is amazing.  I wasn't worried about getting lost given I could wander the ghats easily.  I definitely recommend staying there!

Amazing Location and View

I found this very cozy guest house. My room was clean and big enough to be comfortable in two; the beautiful view of the Ganges that I could enjoy in the morning from the window alone was worth the price of the room. The location of the Paradise Inn is really great, in a quiet area at night (looking absolutely discounted, given the urban chaos) and a few meters from the Ghat which are the main attraction of Varanasi. But the real strength of the Paradise Inn is Yash, the owner, really kind and ready to do his best to help customers.

The name reflects reality

Great room, very close by the river and the main street with all the restaurants and bakeries. Its not the easiest to find though but the room was great, right by the terrace.
Specially the owner is very helpful he managed to find for us a bus ticket that we needed that even asking in all travel agents around the center they couldnt getme into (bus to Kathmandu on a day that the indian bus wasnt running)

Great room , good location, amazing management

We stayed 2 nights in a double room. the room is large and clean and with shared bathroom, everything is perfect. yash is the owner and is a very friendly and attentive uncle. the guest house is 5 minutes from the gahts. us in particular he helped us book the train tickets to agra. he would definitely repeat. greetings yash!!
