STAY AWAY PLEASE STAY AWAY
I and my friend were about to get attacked by a man at around 11pm .We both were screaming but no one was at reception.
It was very dirty ,shabby ,unprofessional, UNSAFE place for females.
We were followed by beggar. My hand is still trembling while writing this. UNSAFE #UNSAFE. Very Dangerous Place, Our money was stolen while there.
Never go here, worst place area. I have started hating OYO Now. Never ever book from OYO app. Honest Review.

VERY DANGEROUS PLACE TO STAY

The place was very dirty. The staff proposed us very expensive prices for the additional services, like sight seeing and a boat trip (at least twice higher than the market price). The water heater wasnt working in my room since the first day of my staying there. They promised to repair it but they didnt.... They just proposed to change the room the day before my departure.
Btw it was cold and they charged us extra 300 R per night for the heaters.  
The kitchen was dirty and the food was not tasty at all. The prices indicated in the menu are different from the real ones!!! 
The location is not good. For the same price you can find better options.
And the most awful thing - THE BED LINENS AND TOWELS WERE NOT CLEAN. I CAUGHT LICE THERE!!!
 
I hope the owner of the place will see this review!

Just stay away

I dont recommend this place, it wasnt very dirty but the worst is they are not professional, we arranged a taxi with them at 7 am and we went downstairs 6.55 am ad they didnt have the taxi, we ended up grabing a taxi on the street and paying extra money, besides the stress of losing the flight, he just told me dont lose your mind! They dont know how much travel is to lose a flight, nothing profesional, the wife of the owner is super nice and borrowed us hair dryer and warm scarf, that was very nice , but to be honnest people its very expensive for a very low quality of cleaning and very unorganised people, i will recomend you an international profesional hotel where you dont have stress

Not a good choice

PG On Ganges Hotel is a good option for accommodation in Varanasi, very near the Ganges holy river. The price was very good, staff very helpful and friendly. They also have food service on request. The only is that cars cannot get in because of the small road, only rickshaw.

Varanasi 

My friend & I booked with this hotel, on arrival at airport with no car waiting for pick up, we took a private taxi. We finally got in touch with the owner...we were brought to another hotel; not the original. Room was smaller, no balcony, dirty, no fridge, kettle etc. We had no choice bcos everything else was booked up for festival. There were mice infestation in the room. It was not acceptable. The owner of the 2nd hotel; Alaknanda kept fobbing us with excuses, claiming first that he was unaware of mice being there. Further in our stay, he admitted he has a major problem. We got no discount for a smaller room given.

Poor standard

The guest house is located right by the river, 1 min. Walk. The price is very good and the service I got was very good, Deepak is caring and taking care of things immediately when needed or asked. Over all a very good and personal service. Recommended!  

Good Location. Good price. Good service 

Room was OK but the kitchen/restaurant had bad views and was dirty and incomplete. The poor dogsbody, Deepak, had it all to do including cooking (which he was excellent at, best curries in India!). The family lives in the main building and has a good, clean and modern kitchen whilst the guests and Deepak have to put up with very low standards; Indian hospitality? Not in my book.

Good views but a bit grubby and basically ran by one employee

If you want to find cheap good rooms with awesome location, select this hotel. This is awesome value for money. The staff is extremely friendly. It is located not far from the Ganges and very near Anandamayee Hospital.

Good hotel with great behaviour and value for money

It was a bit of luck that we found this nice hotel and restaurant in the maze of streets of the old town of Varanasi. We were very warmly welcomed in standard but spacious rooms. Good internet connection, hot water and very good Indian dishes in the hotel's rooftop restaurant. On Diwali, we were invited by the location manager to participate in a ceremony and a large meal shared by family and friends. Very available to give advice and good plans, book train tickets or offer a nice ride on the Ganges. I highly recommend this place which is a very good quality/price ratio.

The right address two steps from the ghats

We tested three rooms... the first one was very wet, we were able to change for a slightly less wet one but no more because it was the cheapest rooms. Then after a mistake on our part, we took over one night and we were placed in the second clean, cool building with a view of the Ganges so it's worth it! Good quality price ratio but the restaurant is expensive and not very good...
