Peace and calm place with neat and clean room had a good space in upstairs friendly staff the morning vibe is very pleasant the prices is comfortable also they provide a discount card for the food at a seaside cafe in cliff everything was fine enjoyed it

The place to be great positive energy

I was in Varkala last December. I booked via expedia two months earlier. I booked the fortingall and instead they took me to another facility. They told me that the fortingall had been booked for six months for a yoga class. But tell me at the time of booking! When I arrived at the hotel they made me wait about two hours for the room. Then they gave me a really dirty room with stinking carpets that I refused. Since they had other free rooms they didn't just drive me to another hotel in Varkala, really bad customers. I refused.

I booked the fortingall... and I'm at the dream.

We organised to stay at forcing all through easy to book online. On arrival we were told tht we would actually be staying at dreams beach resort which was owned by the same people but has a rating of 5.6 on easy to book. 

The place was a dive. There were ockroaches in the room. The power was out all day from 9 am until 7pm. The bed was hard as a rock and I awoke covered in some sort of insect bites. 

The bathroom was dirty and there was no hot water. There was a crack in the door that allowed mosquitoes in. 

The service was non existent. The manager could not speak English and refused to give us a refund despite us paying for another hotel with rates of double this one. 

This is the worst hotel I have stayed at in over 6 weeks in India.

Horrible

Firstly, we didn't stay at fortingall but at Dream Beach resort since the former was under some renovation. (They have the same proprietor.) The manager, Sandeep, was warm n helpful n even drove down to reach us en route n guide our auto to the hotel at 9 pm. The rooms had spotless linen, clean cupboard n a hygienic bathroom. Windows need to be opened for ventilation. Sandeep was available whenever sought n even booked our rail ticket to alleppey on request n also fetched an auto at 6 am for the station. The staff was cheerful n ready to provide services. The complimentary breakfast had a plateful of slice fruits, bread, butter, jam n eggs to order-very filling. The resort was 1-2 minutes walk from the cliff/beach.(There are few resorts on the cliff too but rarely give a beach view from the room, so its the same.) Definitely recommend a stay at a reasonable price-1200 for non AC. Cheaper hotels might be available but I can vouch for the cleanliness n services here.

Warm, Hospitable n Satisfying Experience

I stayed here with my family last month.It is very clean and the service is excellent.The food is also very tasty.The resort is walkable distance from the varkala beach.And the rate is also very reasonable. I totally enjoyed the stay.

The food provided was awsome.. and everything made us so comfortable that we dint think about an alternative.WiFi , easy transportation to city(15km) and other important places is an addon.Very calm and cool surrounding. And about the rate it was reasonable.

Nice and clean rooms , friendly atmosphere,resort close to beach

We are a family travelling all over India. We have been travelling for 3 months and found Fortingall see Resort as the cleanest hotel in all this time, we highly recommend this place for everything. Its service, the quality of the people who work, kindness and willingness to solve small extra requirements of hotel services such as motorcycle rental, restaurants, roads and events. Fortingall is an extremely clean place, the bathrooms are new and really make you feel very comfortable. The prices are very reasonable and you can reach a good deal as long as you stay longer. We came for 3 days and we took until today 15 days and pretend to be 10 more days. The road to the beach is 3 minutes when you find the fastest, in the beginning a 10 minutes route to the beach can be found.

A perfect place.

First we just wanted to stay for two nights, but ended up staying here for almost four weeks. A nice and clean property with lovely helpful staff. Close enough to the beach. Quite location and WiFi included. Highly recommended.
