A real home stay! Only a few rooms, neat, clean and spacious. The owner is always ready to help and cares for people as well as animals and plants. 
Varkala villa is situated on the beautiful and calm South cliff. The proximity to the ocean gives you the peaceful and steady rhythm of the waves at all times of the day. It’s a perfect spot if you want good sleep. If you happen to look for night life, the lively North cliff is at walking distance. 
I really enjoyed my three week stay here and I felt really well looked after. Thank you Binu and Sheeba!

Peaceful home stay

I stayed here for 9 days with my family and it felt like home. The owner, Sunil Ji, is super helpful and he made our staying hassle free. The rooms are very clean and comfy. Moreover, the guests can use the kitchen and there is a very pretty dining area on the rooftop. I warmly recommend this place to anyone!!!

Best place in Varkala!!

I have stayed twice in one of the bamboo cottages. The manager is extremely caring and goes out of his way to be helpful and the rooms are really clean. Mosquito screening on all the windows means no need for nets and there is hot water in the bathroom. for the price, it’s excellent. Traditional Kerala breakfast is included also. There’s a nice little Veranda outside the room to hang out on (though I don’t know what the other rooms are like). Nice for young children to be able to run around safely in the garden.

The location is at the quiter end of Varkala, which i actively prefer. Very near Soul and Surf and Green Pepper restaurant (which is set overlooking a cliff view to the sea, like a Caribbean hideaway). But if you want to be in the bustling main drag, this isn’t for you.

Great care, very clean, peaceful location

Ratio price/quality awful.
For : 
Basic cottage with open outlook. Quiet.
Wifi and AC correct
Against :
No furniture except the bed. No chair, no glass nor cup, not even a single piece of soap.
But a lot of ants instead !
No cleaning of the room during our 3 day stay.
I’ve to ask the change of the towels.
No see view as supposed to have.
Breakfast correct but served on the cottage terrace à 9.00 am which is rather late.

3 days in Varkala

This place would be fine if the price reflected the service but it simply does not. This 'hotel' is so overpriced it is laughable. We booked in on a family holiday looking for a classy experience. However this place was such a let down. 

Staying there for five days my room was not cleaned once by the bone idle staff. Asking them to do anything is always a bridge too far as they often roll their eyes. 

The breakfast was very poor, no effort was put into it. 

The rooms were extremely hot with the AC not working. 

The bathrooms were very dirty. 

The location is poor, with it being a 20 minute walk to the main beach. 

Do not stay here!
