I had an amazing stay at the Joia Do Mar Hotel! The comfort, proximity to the stunning beach, and exceptional hospitality made my experience memorable. I absolutely loved it!
I like the pool area a lot and will have fun sessions with my family.

Family-friendly stays

Dropped by this resort with my better half on 2nd Feb 2023, and it was nothing short of magical. Finding the place? Piece of cake! The folks here showered us with warmth and killer food, all on a comfy schedule and bundled in our room package (hello, breakfast + lunch). The stay was just lush, with staff like Tasha & Anuj at the restaurant turning it up a notch. If Calangute is on your radar, this is your place to nest for a fab Goa vacation.

Magical stay at joia da mar

We visited here 5 to 6 time before but this time very disappointed experience while management was changed. Rate is also very high .service is very poor in all departments . I will never come again in this resort 

Very poor

Worst staying experience in Goa.

- First day found cockroach in milk during buffet breakfast. Informed the restaurant manager, he told he will check and replace the milk. however after few minutes, he casually ignored and guest kept consuming the same milk. Later the manager disappeared.
- The only amity that this resort has is swimming pool and kids play area and both are worst
-Swimming pool - check the attached pics of the quality of the water. Upon checking in we were told that the pool is under maintanance since 2 days and would be ready to use from evevning, however the condition was the same after 3 days of our stay. From one of the waiter we got to know that the condition is the same since months as the cleaning cost is high and they tell each guest that it will be ready from next day. This is cheating. We complained about the same, however there was no help as the owners are not available and you know how the staff answers.
Kids play area is not maintained as well and all broken rusted etc.
- Food and beverages are too costly and quality is alsi very bad so its a total waste of money
-We ordered veg Manchurian and Pinc cola mocktail on first day, however both the food items were below the mark as per the rates, manchurian made of rubber (as it was too hard to chew) and the drink tasteless.
- They were  also avoiding the room cleaning and we had to force the manager to do it everyday
-The location of this resort is on the deserted road, so if you dont have your own vehicle it is not possible to reach the beach or the near market. It is far from the beaches and local market. The road outside is very lonely and not safe after sunset.
- They have comp. breakfast if you select so during booking, but its not work at all. They have limited options and take very long to serve and keep you waiting for ages
-The staff is very rude and hardly available at reception.
- There are far  better resorts near candolim beach/road that are way better.

In short it was a total waste of money for us as the food was bad, swimming pool was of n use, location was bad.

It is not a resort it is a lodge only to stay with difficult transport options, bad food rude staff etc.. not a single good aspect about this lodge :_(

Worst resort in Goa

We are very happy with the way the new managment treated us.
All 12 of us, in a family, in different age-groups were very well taken care of.
The staff was always smiling and ready to please us in all possible ways.
Inspite of a high season( Diwali), they managed all the guests without an issue.
The location is wonderful- its on the main road and just one km away from the two main beaches.
We couldn't have asked for anything more.

A Very Hospitable and Memorable Stay!

Room: To be honest, this properly is ages old and desperately needs a complete renovation, especially the rooms. We were in Standard rooms, we even went on the first and second floor but, as I said, it's quite old so no matter which room you choose. As a matter of fact, the AC was leaking badly, it was concerning at one point. I would suggest people properly check before booking OR inspect the room carefully before option one.

Staff: These guys are amazing, this is not a premium property, even though all the staff members are properly trained and follow the rules as told by higher management. All staff members are courteous, helpful and polite towards us. They also helped us with early check-in, and even attended to us when we reached the resort quite early in the morning. We are quite satisfied with the staff members. 

Housekeeping/Room Service: We have used both room service as well as housekeeping and they were quite satisfying. 

Parking: They have ample space for parking, both Two and Four wheelers. One thing that I like is that they have separate gates for normal walk-in and vehicle entrances, along with proper security at both gates.

Other Amenities: They have decent size pool, which was neat and clean. They have a pool clothing policy, so you have to pool clothes, OR you can rent from them also. They also have a poolside bar.

Verdict: In my personal opinion, you should visit the property, albeit they give you a decent room OR they renovate the property. Although when we visited last time, it's been leased to a new manager who has started doing a renovation. The location of this property is really good and checks all the points that we usually look for while booking a property.

Value for Money property with Courteous Staff

This is the perfect hotel for a weekend.
I had a great experience with the staff was incredibly helpful (Aishwarya & Ajay)  They all go above & beyond to make your stay comfortable.
