The host Alfonso is a great guy. He was very accommodating and made sure we had a good breakfast in the morning. His wife makes Ikat garments which are beautifull. We recommend to stay with him anytime!

Clean and nice little hotel

My wife spent three nights there in October, nice room and great breakfast (probably a highlight of Bajawa for foreign travelers, especially Dutch and Germans).  Helpful staff.  Strangely, she did not find the place to be noisy although some reviewers have mentioned it.

Nice place, super breakfast

This place was a nice stop to explore Bajawa. The common spaces are inviting and pleasant, and I very much enjoyed the breakfast. The hot water showers here were a nice treat after visiting more local places around Flores with only cold water. They have motorbike rentals on site, which I would recommend doing - the roads around Bajawa are fine and you would not need a guide to get around. (I booked a motorbike for a half-day through one staff member for their half-day price, but when it came time to pay, the manager was very reluctant to give me that price, so be careful of that). There was laundry service here for an added cost and free drinking water available. Nice, relaxing place for your time in Bajawa!

Cute Guesthouse

We stayed for two nights. Rooms are adequate with ensuite bathroom, yet a bit on the small side. There is plenty of common space to enjoy inside and on balcony, and nice flores coffee or tea readily available to enjoy. Hotel is centrally located in Bajawa.

Pleasant and hospitable

The rooms aren’t that big, but they are clean. There is a safe. Common areas are pleasant. Breakfast was rather disappointing with unripe fruit and noodles fried with no vegetables or sambal. It was a noisy during traffic times and there was a light on in the common area which kept waking me up. It was fine for us.

Reasonable guesthouse

Nice rooms but a few big bugs to deal with. Make sure you zip your bags. There was cereal for breakfast which we welcomed after weeks of rice or eggs.  Owner is not always there so you don’t get the fresh bread promised in the write up. If you are travelling on the local bus from Ruteng you will be dropped off at a junction a couple of kilometres from the town. You will be met by several men with SCOOTERS looking to take your bags. Yes they somehow managed to get your bag on and you! We used a guy called  Ignathews (Iggy). If you ask him he will be your guide and give you a good experience.  He took us to both villages. We wanted to walk between the two (very hot and a long hike), he was a fount of knowledge pointing out all the plants and spices.  The other guides mock him because he can’t read and write so don’t try and message him make sure you call. His English is very good. However when he took us up to see the sleeping princess he told us to bring warm cloths. The other more educated did not tell their guests who were visibly cold so who’s the brightest. WhatsApp him on +62812-3663-2178.  If you like being on the back of a scooter it’s a great way to get around. If there are two of you he gets his mate to help out.  I felt very safe. Good breakfast and nice location.

We were the only ones staying at the hotel and the service was fine. It’s more of a 1-2 star hotel, feels more like a hostel but it was fine. I’m not sure why people raved about the breakfast because I wasn’t thrilled by it. It was suitable given there is little to chose from in Bajawa.

Hostel like accommodations

Room was small, but clean.
Simple breakfast.
Located alongside a busy road, but no noise that kept us awake after 10pm or so.
Bed was clean.

Guess there is always room for improvement to increase a positive customer experience (e.g better or toasted bread with breakfast - ours was a bit too soft and crumbly / adding extra wall outlets as there was only one in the room).

As we were making an islandtour from east to west, we only stayed here for one night. Overall experience was good enough.

Good for one night

I strongly advise tourists to avoid this hotel and any tours with the manager, Alfons, particularly if you are a single woman traveller. He is only interested in money and is passive aggressive, bullying and sexist. He also gives out the wrong information to try and force you to book his tours. In short, you will pay a lot of money for poor service and just count the minutes to get away from him. A horrible experience.
