I've stayed here before and arranged free pick-ups and drop-offs to the airport which made this place very good value for money.
I arrived today and that service is no longer offered. 
It's still quiet and clean but it's not central, and 30mins from the airport.
The cheaper rooms have aircon but no TV. There is WiFi but useless in my room.


Free Airport transfer ended.

 I stayed in this hotel for four night stays (03.06.16 to 07.06.16) . Hotel location is not downtown and room is quite wide , bathroom also wide and clean . For the breakfast , they provide Indonesia food . Very surprise and excited to see "tsunami museum " . The Indonesian staffs from front office and house-keeping are very helpful. For the changing of red-cross building to hotel, I felt ' for the staying of this hotel, I am making donation of the feeling ". I think I settled just only $15 or $16 , but they provide for the free transportation to the airport which is far from hotel around 6 miles to 7 miles with modernized car. That service is very fantastic service which is the best thing to recommend.

So helpful with airport pickups and ferry drop offs, free of charge. A small  continental breakfast with tea and coffee, self serve. Clean and fresh, comfy fresh sheets,  delightful beds. 2 different trips and will surely go back for more.

I found this hotel via Booking.com and aware that were 2 hotels carry the same name, one is Wisma PMI another one is Rumoh PMI. Wisma PMI is quite far from the downtown, about 10 mins drive or so. But all basic things can be found at this hotel. One of the staff is the tsunami survivor, so i listen to his stories, a lot! The room is spacious & clean, toilet is clean, strong wifi in the rooms, breakfast spread is basic simple; tea/coffee, fried rice/noodle & bread/jam. They provide free shuttle to/from airport and they also have shuttle to Lampu'uk Beach (or probably other beaches too). Very near to restaurants & convenient shops. So far I don't have problems staying here it's just that it's quite far from downtown. If you wish to just walk from your hotel to the city center this is probably not the suitable place to stay.

Budget stay but quite far from downtown

I stayed here as a solo traveller for 150,000 rupiah/night, which is a good value for what I got. They had aircon, which was a definite plus and a flushable toilet, not luxurious but comfortable, which was enough for me. They also have free shuttle service to and from the airport and also the ferry port to Pulau Weh, so you could save some money for transport too. There were numerous ants on my bed, but after staying in the jungle for a week, I didn't mind it too much. Not many restaurants nearby, but a lot of convenience stores. They also offer breakfast, which means toast + tea. 

In general, it's acceptable for the price and as the jumping off point to Pulau Weh.
