My friend and I are travelling Indonesia and we’re recommended this hostel when we were in Bali. We decided to give it a try. We walked in and were greeted by a super friendly guy, shown to our beds (which were so cute and with colourful lighting and our own fan and charging ports) everywhere was clean and well thought out to make the hostel as friendly as possible. We went on a motorbike day tour the hostel offered,  which was so much fun! We got to know our wonderful guides so well we can now call Verga one of our friends. He is so great and so much fun to hang out with! We had so much fun with the staff and guests. Everyone was wonderful and kind and always gave a smile. Also, the free breakfast was insanely yummy! And cooked by the sweetest lady. She would choose what to make everyone everyday but took your dietary needs into consideration. I am a vegetarian, which as I found out is a little hard to be in Indonesia but she was really great about it and super considerate. The omelettes were so good! 
The beds were really comfortable and clean! It never got too hot or too cold. There was food right outside of the hostel and a supermarket across the road. 
We met some great locals which really has made our Indonesian experience!

Like family

Despite them always referring to being a backpacker hostel, it was full of locals who were visiting Bandung for a couple of days. It may have just been unlucky, but I was the only westerner in the hostel that stayed longer than a day. And even then there were only two other people I briefly saw!

The free breakfast every morning and water/tea/coffee all day was good, and having a tv with Netflix was a plus! It’s also in a good location, near the station and a walk into the city.

But...

Ants are everywhere, walls are thin and some of the local guests were extremely noisy late at night and early morning. They were also asking for 130k for bike hire which is ridiculous. You can get it for 100k or under at rental places in the city. It’s definitely not the most secure place either, and only has one hot shower which could be a problem if there are many people staying. 

Nice for a night or two, but I wouldn’t recommend staying longer.

Not particularly clean or social 

We stayed 2 nights in a mix dorm room with no airco. The beds were good  and clean, and for us no airco was also fine (there was a fan). The bathroom was okay, could have been cleaner, and the shower was low pressure. We slept upstairs, there was no sink, so for brushing our teeth or washing hands we had te go downstairs (or use the shower).

The staff was very friendly, at night we got a free snack and when we left we got a small, cute friendship bracelet. They also helped us get a GRAB.

We had some bad experiences with roommates who came in at 3 am and made noise till 4am, and the next night they put an alarm at 5am en kept talking and giggling until 6am, but that has nothing to do with the histel itself.

We also did a tour that was offered by the hostel on a motorcycle to kawah putih and some other places, that was really nice.



Basic but fine

The bedroom smelled bad, the shower water was too small, wardrobe is too small.

Not a Good Backpacker Hostel

I was spent my weekend with my friends only for stay one night, warm welcoming form staff. Pinisi Backpacker Hostel they have 24 pods room with ac or fan, male room, mix pods and room for female only. They have 2 bathroom inside the house, and one bathroom in big dormitory room. Every pods equipped with 2 stop contact, mini hanging table and curtain. The main bathroom was clean and has a big bottle of shampoo and Soap. They have laundry service, rent a towel, and internet service area with one PC. 

Only 10 minutes walking from Bandung Stasiun, so it’s easy to find this hostel if you go to bandung by train. This hostel provide free wifii, free mineral water, you can make a coffee or tea, kitchen, comunal space, and living room. 

If you need rent a car or motorbike , just ask the receptionist. The staff very friendly and cheerfully specially for Mrs. Epi, she was made us breakfast in the morning. Oke this hostel recommended for backpackers and solo traveler IDR 100K (room+breakfast) , you can save your budget  for trip in Bandung.
