An amazing modern villa with Australian standard glass pool fence that is perfect for large family groups. Lush gardens and greenery out of every window and lots of space and little areas for people to retreat and recharge before coming together around the pool or dining table. The staff are fantastic and nothing is too much trouble. They arranged for groceries to be in the villa when we arrived and prepared an amazing dinner on the first night.

The only downside is the traffic noise if staying in the guest house bedroom that backs onto the road but this wasn’t an issue in the main house or garden.

Butterman, Milk and Madu, Finns Rec, 7am bakery and other dining options all within walking distance.

The perfect villa for large family groups

We just returned from an 8 night stay at Villa Batu Sari. We had 10 adults and 6 children staying at the villa and we all fit comfortably. The drawcard to the villa was having the glass fence around the pool giving us piece of mind. 

The villa bedrooms were all of a descent size with plenty of storage to unpack. There was a big dining room table for all to have breakfasts and dinners around. We had our breakfast made for us most mornings and a dinner for the kids before we would head out. The villa can organise very trustworthy babysitters, which we used 3 nights. There was a lot of grass and toys for the children to use. 

There are a few nice restaurants walking distance to the villa otherwise they can organise a cab for you if needing to go further. 

If not wanting to go out for a massage, this can be organised to happen in the villa which we did and was fantastic!

The only negative, was a new bridge had gone through recently making the once dead end road now a flow through road with traffic. The noise of this can be heard in the guest house.

I would highly recommend this villa, especially to families. 


Gorgeous villa in Canggu

I recently stayed for 7 days with 16 family members from Canada, including my 3-year-old daughter. There was plenty of room for all! The villa was the most beautiful place I've ever stayed in my life. It was clean, spacious, well air-conditioned, safe for my youngest child and perfectly decorated. I love the way that natural elements such as outdoor showers, well-positioned trees, beautiful vines and perfect grass are integrated into the villa setting, providing a lush sanctuary during hot days. The pool was well-maintained and a treat to look at, and the glass surround kept the little ones safe. The outdoor living room with the massive couch/king sized day bed was a perfect place for lounging in the shade. The staff was wonderful, very attentive, and ready to provide assistance when needed. They cooked a fantastic meal of barbecued prawns and chicken. Every morning, we were greeted by the breakfast of our request, be it North American style eggs and bacon, French-style crepes or traditional Indonesian nasi goreng (fried rice). They did our laundry for us every day. They booked events, such as white water rafting, for us, and made helpful suggestions about which operators to choose. We felt very comfortable and relaxed. It's even more beautiful in person than it is in the online pictures. I highly, highly recommend Villa Batu Sari for an extended family vacation in Bali!

I was blown away by how nice it was!

Just returned from two fabulous weeks staying at the absolutely stunning Villa Batu Sari. Somehow it looks even better in person than the photos. The rooms are large and luxurious, it's got a great pool, plenty of outdoor space for the kids to run around in (plus an in-ground trampoline, swing, boxes of toys and a small sandpit, all of which got some heavy use from our little ones). Also worth noting that the pool has a proper Australian standard pool fence, which was a big factor in our decision to choose this place. 

The staff at the villa (villa manager, nanny, chef, etc) are wonderful and were happy to organise excursions for us, eg drivers for day trips etc. If you want to eat in they will cook for you (you just tell them what you want and pay for the groceries). Everything they cooked was delicious!

The villa is located in the Canggu area, down a small lane just off a reasonably busy road but feels very private and it's really quiet once you are inside the compound: feels like you are in your own private world! There's quite a few cool cafes etc in the local area all within 5 mins walking distance: we tried Peloton (coffees and juices) and Tusu (bar with a great upstairs balcony right next to the Canggu club). Seminyak is about 15-20 mins away/35,000 Rp (A$3.50) in a cab.

Your stay at the villa includes passes for the nearby Canggu Club which has a great water park that our kids (aged between 2 and 4) absolutely loved. We had worried that they might be too young to enjoy it but there was plenty there for that age group. Older kids would have an absolute ball with the bigger slides (I tried the Superbowl once and that was enough for me!) The club also has a fitness centre, bowling and a bounce trampoline place but we didn't try any of those.

The Canggu club is really only 5 minutes walk away, although that's along a typical small Balinese road with limited/no footpaths, so while we were happy to walk it if it was just the adults, we tended to get a cab there when we went with the kids (cost in a metered taxi, typically Rp7,000 - 10,000, or about A$1). Top tip with the cabs: Blue Bird Group are the best, but if you call one they have a Rp40,000 min charge so we ended up just walking to the end of the lane and hailing one on the street for short trips like this; there was always one going past. You do have to insist on the meter though, or they will rip you off (their quoted prices were typically 2-3 times what the metered charge ultimately cost). Also the Canggu Club comes in pretty handy when catching a cab back to the villa: no taxi driver will know where the villa is, but I could always say "head to the Canggu Club and keep going" and they'd know where to go.

All in all we had an absolutely wonderful time. Highly recommend this place. If you are a large family, or a couple of families travelling together then this would be a fantastic choice for your next Bali stay.

Stunning private villa in great location

My family of 4 & another family of 4 have just returned from THE most amazing Bali holiday ever! Staying in this gorgeous villa is the way to go - we had our own magnificent tropical pool, staff to attend to our EVERY need (all meals made for us if we wanted, housekeeping, the staff cooking with our children, babysitting, clothes washed daily, restaurant bookings and massages (in house) also arranged for us & that's only a half of it!), plenty of room, security, space for our outdoor boys to kick a footy & private sun baking. We were also able to hire a driver to get us into the action when we wanted which is not too far away but so nice to retreat back to the villa for quiet time. Our children never complained about being bored if we spent the day "in". As well as the beautiful house, they have 2 outdoor cabana's - one with a huge day bed to watch movies or read a book and the other with a table for 8 plus another day bed. The gardens are kept daily with their own gardener.

It is the luxury you look for on a holiday; to sit and do nothing except relax! Something we never get the chance to do at home! (Well that's my idea of a holiday anyway)

I highly recommend this villa. Can't wait to return 10/10 💯
