I booked a bed space for one night in a mixed 12-bedder room, which was upstairs in the building (you have to remove your footwear before going upstairs). However, was lucky enough to be only one of two persons in the room. The room, bed space and living area outside are clean. 

The bed was comfortable, clean and has a privacy curtain, power socket and reading light by the bed head. You can also opt to use the locker beside the bed to store your things - there is an IDR 10,000 deposit for this, which you will get back on check-out when you return the access card key for it. Room was also nice and cold from the air conditioning and you do get a bath towel to use during your stay as well.

The toilet and shower are together in the same cubicle. I think there are only 4 cubicles. They were all very clean when I was there. Outside there are 2 sinks to use.

My stay came with breakfast - simple but was enough. Some bread, butter and jam, slice of cheese, coffee, fruits. The other lodgers I met during breakfast were friendly and chatty.

Overall, the stay was good, you do get some noise from the street (passing transport with loud music) but it quietens down soon after places start shutting. It’s walking distance to good eats in the area and the harbour. The staff are also very friendly, helpful and chatty.

Great stay, from pick up at airport to drop off. Staff felt like family by the time I left. Clean, quiet, affordable. Perfect location in Labuan Bajo for excursions. Nice place to meet international travelers.

Great Staff! Especially Dewi!

Was okay. The bedding and linen smelt really good actually which is nice compared to most hostels, had a little balcony area which was nice. Shower and toilets were basic and breakfast very basic but hostel is in a good location, reasonably priced and they can arrange tours for you and you get a safe to keep valuables.

Hostels location is good. Staff is friendly. However, the staff is very noisy until 00:00 at night and from 7:00 in the morning. Bathroom has a shower that barely gives water and a lot of mosquitos. Room is ok.

I was so pleased with my stay here. Anything you might be lacking by staying at a budget hotel is made up for by the super friendly and helpful staff. 

It is a newer, family-run place. They care about their guests and took the time to ask me if there was anything I thought they could improve upon or even what kind of beer people might like best for them to have available. 

I had one of the private rooms and it was very clean, had cold A/C, and had plenty of furnishings (aka places to put all my stuff) including a mirror and a locking closet. The shared bath was also clean, had a soap dispenser and paper towels (TP upon request). A fellow traveler wasn't happy with her place down the road so on my recommendation she moved to Bajo Nature and was so happy she did. FYI we are both over 45.

The breakfast upstairs is basic but good enough to get you going for the day. Toast w/ a selection of butter and jam, coffee & tea, bananas, and eggs of some sort.

There is a large terrace upstairs (where the dorms are) that is a great place to hang out. They sell a variety of cold water, drinks and beer (Bintang, Heineken, and Guinness!) in the lobby and it isn't any more expensive than going to the market yourself. You even get a discount on food at the restaurant next door. AND they have a proper coffee machine in the lobby where they offer cappuccino/espresso drinks for sale that are quite delicious.

They told me where to rent a motorbike (almost next door) and helped me with directions to the cave. I got a good deal booking my Komodo tour through the hotel, too. 

The location couldn't be better. It's just a short walk to the boat docks and to the nightly fish market. There are ATMs and a mini-mart near by, too. 

I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Wonderful Newer Budget Option - Great Location & Owners

First of all, Abbini chose this hotel only to be able to pay the least possible, to be in a central position, and to have support during excursions along the Flores Islands. So it was. But alas on Booking it was not specified that the rooms (they also have dormitories) do not have a bathroom but it is in common. The bathroom is fast-fashioned, worthy of the best autogrills.. the room is a room where there is only the bed, the dirty walls (but we get dirty dirty walls) and the sheets and towels as well. But with 40 euros in two for 3 nights we could not expect anything else. We recommend it only if, like us, you do not have many expectations.

If you don't want too much...

Stayed here for two nights as I’d booked to go to Komodo Island (don’t book your tour in advance because I did and then came to realise that the hostel could offer the same thing at half the price!) Really friendly staff, free breakfast, comfy bed with privacy curtain, fast WiFi, and discount on food in cafe next door for hostel guests. Would definitely visit again!

Great place to stay!

Bajo seemed great at first. Fairly clean, comfy beds, and a friendly staff. Then the bed bugs came and things went sour very quickly. My friends and I left at 1:30am to find somewhere else to sleep and on the way out, some men that were watching football in the lobby said that they understood, made it sound as though they were aware of bugs in the hostel, and were very sorry. No one else was around to help. When we returned around 8 in the morning to properly check out and explain the situation, the men watching football weren't there. The staff refused to refund me for that night and demanded that the people that hadn't yet paid for that night, now should. After having to try and sleep on couches near the street, they acted as though we were crazy for not wanting to pay and tried to push the blame onto us. We showed them photos and bite marks but they didn't seem to care. I have never once in all my travels had a hostel be so unexplainably rude. I understand that bed bugs happen and do not typically blame the hostel for them with so many travelers coming through the door. That said, when it does happen, simply apologize, refund the night, and move on. This is far far from what happened and has been my worst experience with a hostel to date. The worst part is that they didn't much seem to care that they did in fact have bed bugs in the hostel so they surely won't do anything to prevent the problem for future travelers.

Worst hostel experience

The bed was clean, comfy and has curtains for privacy. Big locker for each bed, private light and socket. Wifi. Air Con. Showers were clean. Towel provided. Hot water. The breakfast was good. Big terrace to chill and enjoy the sunset. Staff was friendly. So it's a 5/5!

In labuan bajo everything is excessively expensive for a desirable quality. it is a dormitory with 26 beds and a few mattresses on this side and on top of that. it is quite clean and it is the best quality price in the city. we had to sleep the first night in another dormitory because our reservation was not taken into account and it was very dirty, noisy, without breakfast for the same price.
