The location is excellent, right at the beach! The cottages are very very basic, dusty and smelly but do their job. Staff member were a bit scetchy and we think they stole some money from our room when an earthquake happened and we weren’t there.

Great location, dodgy staff

Pros: this place is in a great location, the nicest part of the sunset beach, and the huts are located right behind the beach amidst a green, lush garden underneath swaying palms.

The breakfast is great and always came promptly. 

I paid £16 a night for of the better huts, it was spacious, clean and comfortable. Wi-Fi worked well everywhere.

The only time it got busy out on the beach was sunset. Nighttimes were peaceful and in the mornings I pretty much had the place to myself.

Cons: although the couple of young Indonesian guys who run the place work very hard keeping the place clean and tidy (it really is a nice place) they didn't write anything down so when it came to check out there was a bit of an argument concerning what I owed. They can be a bit cheeky too but they're only young I guess. 

Also, one morning I arrived for breakfast later than usual and was told breakfast had finished, which for a resort is a bit ridiculous. Anyway I went for breakfast elsewhere but on my return they said they had made my breakfast afterall and left it out for me. I don't know what to make of that to be honest. 

Half way through my stay they put the price of a large bintang up from 35k to 50k.

As is usual for resorts, the food is not as good as you'll get in a warung but its tasty enough. And it is served promptly as far as island beach resorts go.

But aside from the sketchy service, for this money you won't get a better place in Gili Air. It was quiet as quiet on Gilli Air goes, had great views and the nicest stretch of beach and water. Between Indah and down past Pelangi etc is definitely the best part of the island. I really recommend it. Just be patient with the staff, they mean well, work hard, but sometimes just don't get it right.

Best location on Gili Air

We arrived a day earlier than planned to Gili Air so only stayed here for a night before moving on to our pre-booked accommodation. We came across it without looking at any reviews, and when we did look at reviews were a bit worried but we did not need to be concerned. We had a pleasant stay at Lombok Indah Cottages. The rooms were clean, the bathroom was lovely (although the shower was rather disappointing, especially after trekking Rinjani and looking forward to a powerful shower - a dribble just didn't do it!! haha). A brighter light could be put in the room as it was incredibly hard to see and we actually had to walk around with our head torches on! The location was brilliant with a minute walk to the beach. We had a lime juice and breakfast (pancakes) from here and we had no problems despite all the reviews we read saying not to eat here - the food was good. 

Good find for a one night stay

Food was terrible worst food we have ate in Asia in 4 months! 
Cats on the tables and jumping up while eating with no control by the staff
Toilet was disgusting - do not use it looked like it's never been cleaned 
Staff also rude. Only positive is the view

Do not eat here!!

All the other reviews except for one are unfair. The rating must be based on what you pay and what this is designed for. 

When booking this accommodation, all we wanted was a beach hut that was good value for money and close to the beach. 

That is exactly what we got! The room was 20m from the beach. The room was basic but it didn't need to be anything else.. it's not designed to be a 5 star luxury hotel. 

This cost us £15.77 including breakfast, which was only £1.50 and we had a pancake with lemon and sugar and it was the best breakfast I've had in my two week stay in Bali. 

If your expecting to be waited on and have all the facilities with a hotel then this isn't for you. If you want some cheap accommodation with a fantastic location then I highly recommend it from 1 night to a week.
