I was slightly mortified when I first got here as the place is quite run down and in need of some tlc. The rooms are quite dusty and I constantly felt like a bug was going to crawl on me. Other than that, the positives were that it was extremely peaceful. Wawan, the bartender, is the cutest guy! He really made our visit memorable. Lily is an awesome and friendly host. The pool is really beautiful. The breakfast banana pancakes with lemon honey are really good. Loved the orange juice welcome drink :)

Friendly host and staff

We wanted to love this place based on the photos and high score we thought it would be great- couldn't have been more wrong.
The place is run down, the bed was the most uncomfortable we have ever slept on- we didn't sleep any of the nights we were there and we actually checked out two days early because of that and several other reasons. It was extremely loud, they were hammering and doing work on the property starting at 7:30 am in addition to the roosters that started around 5am. There was a frog in our bathroom that made noise all night and no hot water on top of it all. Rude host and an overall waste of money.

Don't Let the Photos Fool You

The air conditioner in the room is good but only if you dare to use it because doing so will cause grime to drip from the roof. The bedroom is okay, it is clean. The bedding was ripped and there was no place to store clothes. There is also no safe as advertised. The bathroom is very poor, it smelt like sewers (although this is not uncommon in Bali it was particularly bad here). The breakfast was nice and of decent quality with squash and tea/coffee provided. The location is good with just a short walk to the main snorkelling spots. The location is quiet at night but you will have to walk down unlit roads to get to the accommodation. It is a 15 minute walk to get to the acomodation from the harbour (please walk the horses are mistreated) There are regularly powercuts and no back up generator here so bring a torch. The pool is okay, a little merky but it is a salt water pool. The water in the bathroom is also salt water so be prepared to never feel clean.

Poor Quality good location

We were travelling as a family group of 10 and had 5 bungalows. 
They were clean and comfortable with good outside bathrooms. My only negative is that 2 of our 5 rooms had no hot water, other than that is was lovely here and Lily was a very smiley attentive host. 

Great place to stay

Stayed for three nights. Lily the host was great, very friendly. We booked on Airbnb.
The hotel however looks a little unloved. Rooms are nice but with old bathrooms (rusty shower and grim toilet seat). The few sun loungers are old and dirty looking. July prices are high given the standard of the hotel.
Lots of restaurants nearby.

Friendly host, rather run down hotel

The bungalows were spacious and very comfy, very clean as well with your own bathroom. 
The pool is large and perfect to cool down in, very well maintained. 
Breakfast was large and keeps you full until lunch time and very tasty. 
The bungalows are in a awesome location, you have the beach at your door step, perfect spot for sunrise, with a swing and lounges. Many restaurants around to choose from, close to a spa, diving school & snorkelling. Lily is a very warm and kind person who went above an beyond, she is a credit to the business.
Easy to get to from the harbour, you can either walk about 15-20minutes or catch a horse and cart. I will be back to Youpy in the future.

Relaxing, and amazing pool

I stayed here for 2 nights with friends. The staff were great, when we arrived they helped us with our bags and gave us some fresh juice and a fresh coconut. We hired bikes cheap for the 2 days we stayed here which made it a lot easier to get around the island. The rooms were really nice, great aircon and a big double bed. The only fault was that we didn't have any hot water during our stay but apart from that we couldn't fault it. The price to stay each night was cheap, it has a great pool and it includes breakfast.

The stay was great, Lily puts alot of effort into everything. We had power outage (scheduled due to works on the underwater lanes from lombok) and troubles with water but they would always apologize and try to fix it as quick as possible. Breakfast was okay (included in the price) but coffee wasn't as good. The bungalows are super cute and they are still fixing stuff from the earthquake but it is lovely!

They are trying really hard!

Had a most enjoyable week here. Comfortable rooms at affordable rates.Great pool and good breakfast with a sea view,The restaurant was closed whilst we were there as the island was very quiet.
The star of the show was Lily, the host who made a special day extra special and whose warm charm brightened up the whole week for us. Her team also did a good job and rooms were very clean and well maintained.
Recommended.

Lily (management) was fabulous! Always making everyone feel at home and ensuring satisfaction. 16 beautiful oceanside bungalows and nice all tile pool for a cool dip. Everything needed for a wonderful stay is nearby. Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets... year round warm temperatures, day and night, great snorkeling, very affordable... make Youpy Bungalows a must stop on your Gili Islands vacation!
