My partner and I stayed at Alda's place for four nights. This place is perfect for couples. We had the home stay to ourselves because it was low season.
We enjoyed our time here 5 mins from harbour and Main Street. No noise from
the party life or mosque.
We stayed in room 2, it was clean and the AC worked a treat. The power went off for two days while we stayed on the island Luckly the owners had a generator which they turned on at night so we could sleep. Most homestay's wouldn't, which we thought was very kind.
The owners were very polite, we rented a bike from them which was much cheaper than the street with no problems.
Breakfast was very simple eggs or pancake and a coffee or tea.
Overall good value for money when you are travelling for some time and on a budget this homestay's meets you needs cheap, clean and cool room.



Good value for money when travelling on budget

The rooms were pretty decent but the owner and the staffs were very friendly!! The breakfast is also decent !!! It is around 6-8 minutes of walking distance to the beach .they also had bicycle rentals for a cheaper price than in the town !! 
Would I go there again !!! Well I'll have to think !!!may bee!!

Peaceful place  and friendly owner

I wish I could leave a more positive review for this place. Unfortunately during our stay the aircon barely worked, and the WiFi dropped out frequently. Alda house is actually a home stay, and for the price we paid we really could have found much better.

The staff were nice, and the breakfast was okay (very simple). But our room was not cleaned once in the 5 days we were there, I had to ask for new sheets and towels. No soap in bathroom, bathroom is open air (which was nice) but shower was cold salt water. 

The only real positive about this place is the location, really good, only 2 minute walk from harbour and all restaurants.

I really feel like we were ripped off for what we paid to stay here. I don't like to leave negative reviews but I can't recommend this place. So if you're okay to pay top dollar for no real Aircon and unclean room then this would be fine for you, however I saw much cheaper homestays available on the island.
