We stayed 2 nights in Kalinka Inn. The venue has suffered a lot from the earth quake in Lombok in 2018, but they have a few rebuilt bungalows.

Pros:
*great price (8,70€/night)!!!
*free and really good breakfast (fresh fruits and omelette/pancake and coffee /tea)
*owner gave us free bikes
*owners were super friendly and kind! He also offered to take us to snorkeling and then drop us to Gili Air for 200k/each.

Cons:
*no air condition, but we had fans



Good value for great price for backpackers

Kalinka Inn is a great place to stay at Gili Meno!

I paid 200.000 IDR per night during the second week of October 2017 and felt very comfortable on any aspect (I ignore the amount of the peak season price).

The "inn" is a group of brand new bungalows (five years old) with fan or aircon, located a few meters from the beach, in the northeastern part of Gili Meno.

PROs:

- clean and quiet place because mosque is far and Gili T. party music does not impact on eastern side of Gili Meno

- queen size comfortable bed with intact mosquito net and effective fan machine

- washroom featuring sink, shower with normal water (not salted), wc with active flush

- very good breakfast

- very friendly and helpful landlord and staff

- possibility to book your snorkelling tour with Kalinka Inn boat (called Marlin) at the same price of other operators, and possibility to book tickets to leave Gili Meno at same or lower price than other operators (I paid 350.00 IDR for a fast boat to Padang Bai + minibus to Ubud and everything worked smooth without surprises, and also saved 100 IDR in comparison with an agency near the harbour).

CONs:

- there is no hot water, YET who cares, in a tropical area?

- there is no mirror in the washroom, YET you can ask the staff and borrow one from them, as I did

- Wi-Fi is very scarce (no video upload, no pdf download, hardly images sending via whatsapp), YET this involves many restaurants in Gili Meno. The solution is to go for a coffee (or a meal) at restaurant Mahamaya which has an excellent Wi-Fi

HOW TO GET TO KALINKA INN:

Once you land to Gili Meno, turn right (means: go northbound) following the coastal line (sea at your right).

After twenty minutes walk you'll see Ana Warung restaurant: stop and turn left (do not enter Ana Warung) and walk 1 minute towards the ATM beside Little Bali Restaurant, then turn right and after another 1 minute you'll see Kalinka Inn on your left.

For your meals, I suggest you Ana Warung (which serves a very tasty Lemon Ice Tea) and Little Bali (which has a decent Wi-Fi), while Mahamaya is good for watching the sunset (a bit costly but it is ranked by Tripadvisor as best restaurant in Gili Meno).

Have a nice stay in beautiful Gili Meno, wherever you'll decide to go.

Great Value at Budget Price! 

We had stayed on the island for two days before we found this place. It looked quant in the pictures. Got there the manager checked us in seemed reasonable. Once we walked in realized what we had gotten ourselves into. There were wasps everywhere at the entrance of which i am allergic to and really was not worth the buck spent on it. We decided to spend the night in hopes it improved the next day. In the morning over breakfast decided it wasnt worth the risk staying. Went to reception spoke with the manager. Explained the problem he didnt understand and said we were not to get any $ back. I had to put my partner on the phone we managed to get one nights worth back. The next day found out he marked booking.com as a no show which meant booking.com were also trying to charge us for not staying. 

Dont let it rewin your holiday

The manager was rude when we arrived and tried to give us a high price for the bungalow - we negotiated it down to 250K IDR as it was after sunset late in the evening. No breakfast included as they claimed there was no kitchen on the premises. The bathroom was very basic, shower rusty and although we were promissed to have fresh water shower it was salty. The bed was squeeky that we woke up multiple times during the night as the othe moved or turned in the bed. The sheets smelled clean (but stained) but when we got under the cover it was full of sand. After a cold salty shower having walked 2 hours for an accommodation we were extreamy disappointed with the place. The only positive thing was the aircon. Never again!

Terrible!

Don't book with this hotel! I made a reservation 4 weeks before the date of arrival for a couple of nights just after idul fitri. I got a really nice respons that the reservation was oke and they were looking forward to see us. Unfortunatly i received an email just two days before (first day of Idul fitri) we would arrive at Kalinka Inn that they made a mistake and we couldn't stay at their place for the days we booked. Because of Idul Fitri everything was closed so I couldn't find a new place to stay. In the end it was not possible for us to go to gili meno because everything was full. So don't make any reservation at this hotel because they will just cancel it a day before you arrive.

Nice and cozy hotel. Ideal place for romantic vocations. Very calm. Colorful territory with trees in blossom and flowers. Comfortable bungalows with terrace and air-condition. Two minutes walk to the beach. No breakfast but 2 cafes very close. Great snorkeling.
