Gili Meno

Gili Meno is among Gili's quietest islands and the structure offers if I'm not mistaken 8 bungalows that are immersed in a garden right in front of the most beautiful beach on the island. Each house has two patios with armchairs and a table and one with a sofa. Outside there is also a faucet to wash your feet before entering the house. Inside it is very spacious with two armchairs, a chaise longue, a small closet and a double bed. The bathroom is in the Maldives, with an open doc, really wonderful! Also there is: a TV, a box, a beautiful wooden trick box, a refrigerator and an espresso with a sofa, in short, there seems to be nothing missing on the front of the bungalow. This morning the collage was made with a lot of coffee, but then the whole beach is very nice, but the location of the hotel is not so nice.

Lovely spaciouas bungalow.  A bit older but in good clean order. Comfy large bed.  Large bathroom with hot water, fresh drinking water dispenser was awesome as was the bar fridge, air con, front and back covered prorches, lighting, seating and large windows.  The pool was amazing to dip into after an ocean swim as it is right next to the beach.  The breakfasts included in the price were excellent with yummy sliced fresh fruit, eggs done all ways, tea coffee, toast.  The breakfast large open gazebo was very nice to sit under and enjoy the shade, views and food. Alit and staff were friendly and gracious.  Location was near plenty of good eating places including Mallias which we preferred for the food, awesome staff and the loungers, especially happy hours that lingered.  Also near was the boat we went on for snorkelling.  Mr Deans boat.  Wow, the young guys took us to excellent spots.  Best $15 to spend.  We went to 4 spots, saw turtles, underwater temple remnants, shipwreck, lovely coral and coloured fishlife.  Excellent to snorkle by the edge of the coral wall and drift dive with the boat nearby to pick us up. Highly recommended.  No cars so the horse and cart taxi was great to get from boat drop off to accommodation which was not far and an easy walk with a pack.  We had kiteboards so needed the horse and cart.

Excellent Location - value for money

We stayed in a bungalow overlooking the garden. It is simple but cozy and with some necessary maintenance in the room. Breakfast without variation, but everything is good. The location of the hotel is spectacular, with swimming pool in front of the beach. Near restaurants, market, from where the boats arrive. The beach has a good strip of coral-free sand, which is ideal for children to play without hurting their feet. Tbm you can snorkel in front of the hotel. I would definitely recommend and come back.

We spent two nights in these authentic bungalows, which were well equipped. The park is very pleasant. The reception is very neat (flower decoration on the bed on arrival and the next day.

What a wonderful discovery.

We stayed 4 nights in our beautiful and spacious bungalow. They are all scattered in a tree-lined park, the sea is very close and there is a beach with coral just in front and you are far from the passage that borders the island. There is hot water, air conditioning, wifi, it is clean and very quiet. Breakfast is very nice, service is pleasant. Close to the arrival and many restaurants. After seeing several hotels during our tours of the island, this is the best for us. But, it deserves some paint refreshments, and more.

Beach front, lovely gazebo and nice staff. I was on a getaway from Nyepi in bali and ended up in a heavenly place.
Our room (gazebo) was really sweet and amazing, it's very clean and cozy.
The only down side is the mosquito if you decide to sit outside for a long time but with a mosquito repellent will do the trick.
I'm definitely going to come back to this place.

AMAZING PLACE

We only stayed here 1 night but it was beautiful!  The little bungalow is very comfortable and very clean.  It's a stones throw away from the fabulous beach which has the most amazing snorkeling and crystal clean water!  Breakfast was very tasty and lots of it!  I would definitely stay here again.....beautiful! 

Quaint quiet beautiful!

I spent 3 weeks in Gili Islands. Gazebo is one of the best hotels in Meno. Authentic Indonesian style with beach-front (one of the best beaches of the island), the garden is amazing, the bungalows are absolutely comfortable and the staff is helpful, cooperative and mindful. The breakfast is tasty and abundant.

We were not even able to pay with the visa because the machine didn't work. Fortunately we had some rubies left.

A great zero

We spent our 4 nights on Meno here before moving to Gili Air for 2 nights (should have done it the other way round in retrospect).. Gazebo is just under a 5 min walk south of where the boat drops you off, and is based on the main track that goes round the island.

There are about 8 or so gazebos dotted over the land of the hotel, with paths winding around and lights leading your way. There's a separate structure for check-in, the bar, and the breakfast facilities.

Rooms are fine, in fact they're spacious. Ours had a single traditional bed plus a double which was set into the floor Indonesian style. The bathroom is a good size and the toilet area is covered and the shower area is open roofed (though with mesh to stop leaves falling in. There's A/C, a TV, mini-fridge and a safe, so that's all great, plus a mosquito net for the bed if you need it though we never did.

Wifi was a bit of a struggle. We were given 2 log-ons but only one worked, and in our room it wasn't great at all.

The pool is OK but not great. It's fresh water and based in front of the reception structure and is by the beachfront path, so people will be walking past all day but as the path is a few metres away it's not a massive issue. The pool itself though could've been cleaner. It was fine to swim in but some of the walls looked a little green, and it seems staff rarely fish the leaves out of the water so they all get pushed in to one corner by the fountains. There is a net by the pool so if you want to fish out the leaves yourself you can.

There's sun loungers by the pool, but no parasols so for shade you need to either sit away from the pool, or wait til the sun has passed over so you can sit in the shadow of reception. By about 3pm the sun is in the shade which, for me, was a negative.

Location wise it's right by the beach and there are some little cabanas you can base yourself in for the day. It's just a couple of minutes walk up north to find food and drinks and the shop.

Breakfast was fine - you get a plate of fruit and tea/coffee, and the option of omelette, banana pancakes, and a few other things  so basically the standard options. Service was OK for breakfast but not great, though the staff are all lovely. I think the issue is that there seems to be only a few of them working there doing food, cleaning rooms, manning reception, manning the bar etc and as the facilities are set apart it means things happen slower or it can be difficult to find someone. I wanted a drink from the bar but couldn't find anyone for a while, then when I did they didn't know who had taken the key for the fridge so I wasn't able to get a drink.

All in all the hotel is OK, but it just has a run-down feel to it like its glory days are behind it, 1970s UK beach holiday style. If the rooms were done up a little and there were more staff to man the facilities, clean the pool etc it would make a big difference.
