We came here as a couple on a budget for 5 days, and as it was cheaper than most we weren't expecting much. The host is great, he cooks really good breakfast and is very helpful. The room itself was ok, bed was comfy but the toilet really let it down. There was a constant bad smell and the cold shower was hanging off the wall and barely worked - it is a shame because this made our stay much less enjoyable at the guesthouse. Also being situated next to the mosque isn't ideal, due to the thin walls it woke us up very frequently - however, this is to be expected and goes with the culture of the island, so not really a complaint just a heads up for future travellers, take ear plugs! 

Overall, the host was great, location good, but if we went back, we would stay somewhere else. 

Wonderful host, average stay

My husband and I stayed here for two nights. We’re traveling through Asia and are on a budget and this met our needs and expectations. The rooms are spacious, with good air conditioning and decent wifi. They provide two pillows each - something I’ve been missing in other hostels and guest houses on our travels! They also provide a towel. Breakfast is a choice of omelette (veg) or banana pancake, both of which were tasty and filling. Breakfast is served outside your bungalow at whatever time you like (between 7-10am). The manager is really friendly and helpful. You can hire bikes here too, for 40k per day. The bathroom is basic - the bathroom in need of some repairs, the door handle is broken and you could easily get locked in.  There is also only cold water which was fine for us for just the two nights. One of the main downsides for me was the number of mosquitos, even in the room after spraying and with the aircon on. They were coming through the bathroom. I am particularly tasty to the mozzies, they didn’t bother my husband much and of course I know they are to be expected here! Could possibly help with coils or a mosquito net over the bed for peace of mind. The location is excellent, only 200m or so to the main front of shops, bars, dive shops etc. We would definitely recommend this hostel for those on a budget. 

Excellent value, comfortable and spacious bed 

Lovely place and the owners wife was very kind and gave us a small brief on the island. A little noisy because of the mosque but you get that in most places on the island. Would recommend.

Our stay!!

I stayed here with my girlfriend for two nights as part of a trip round Bali. After a longish travel from Ubud we were keen to settle into a room but were disappointed. The room and bathroom weren't particularly clean and the shower poured a trickle of cool water. Our visit was in Ramadan and the mosque situated 100m away was loud for most of the evening. Prayers usually finished around 11:30 and first prayers started at 5:00 in the morning.  The ac kept us cool enough but wasn't amazing. The guy who worked there was friendly and offered to help us out however he could and speaks reasonable English. Towels weren't provided and Wi-Fi wasn't working throughout our stay.

For quite a cheap price it's an adequate base to explore Gili T but we didn't feel it was a place we wanted to spend much time.

Adequate but not great

The staff at the time there were very friendly and always available if we needed them. The location was outside of the main area so it was quieter, albeit a bit further from the beach, but the bikes were free and a great resource to explore the island. Unfortunately, we would not stay again however, due mostly to the state of the bathroom. The bedroom itself was relatively clean except the sheet didn't fit the mattress and kept exposing it while we slept which was a bit unsettling. The shower drain was completely clogged and layers of dirt built up around it and an inch of dirty water when we showered (we even found a large bug within the dirt). When we asked for our room to be cleaned one day, the bathroom ended up smelling worse than before and nothing was done about the drain. I don't like to give negative reviews, but I feel it is necessary to point this out since other reviews don't seem to mention the lack of cleanliness. We didn't see the owners throughout our stay so perhaps that had something to do with it.
