Gili Trawangan

Great for young, down to earth travellers. Locally owned, locally run, this is the local treatment and inside information here. It’s a place to crash, but management is incredible and friendly and love to come out and party with you, and it’s just a bit passed most other accommodations, ensuring a quiet and peaceful sleep. Easy going and relaxed. It’s basic, sure, but it’s enough of you have a little love in your heart. 

Good Vibes

My girlfriend and I went to Gili Trawangan for a few days and checked into Mosaix bungalows. After it took us a while to find it as it was poorly sign posted. We got taken to our bungalow which looked nice on the outside and the room looked Good when we went in. But that soon changed as the toilet is outside (which tbh was advertised) and the shower was a simple pipe in the wall. So no chance of hot water if you wanted a shower. The sheets where dirty, the filthy fly net above the bed didn't even fit the bed and under the bed must have been no word of a lie at least 10 dirty tissues and a thick layer of dust. Now ee arrived later on in the day so we thought we would give it a go for a night and see what happens. After returning from dinner we had mozzies in the room as the walls of the bungalow had gaps between the panels so all sorts could get in. We turned in for the night and tried to sleep, well we didn't get very far as the walls as I said had gaps and it's right on the street so we had people (staff included) outside chatting and smoking, drinking and playong music out loud until very late. Barely slept that night due to that and when we finally did we where awaken by the mosque down the road at about 5am. Which I have no issue with but i feel it could have been mentioned. We left early the next day and lost all the money we paid as the staff didnt care what so ever about the condition of the room. Stay away from this place if you plan a trip to Gili Trawangan.

There are lots of hotels on the island, alot of cheap ones and lots of pricey ones, be careful what you book as the pics do look nice on alot of them but the reality tells a different story, we found a lovely one and loved the rest of our trip. Its worth paying a little extra on accommodation on the island.


Worst night sleep in bali

staff were drinking, smoking (smell came into room) and chatting all night right outside the room with friends. dirty room and bedsheets with stains all over. tissues under the bed. there are gaps in walls so bugs get in and lots of mozzies. photos lie- this place looks nothing like the photos. aircon is rubbish. no towels or loo roll provided. worst place ever. I wouldnt take my shoes off to walk around!
shower is a pipe on the wall and leaves came out of it. tap in basin doesn't work. don't waste your money! stayed 1 night out of 4 and have checked into a new hotel for the rest of our stay!!

worst stay ever

My room had many bed bugs and mosquitoes (you do get a net though). I had to leave at 11pm and stay elsewhere (luckily my boyfriend had a place). There were no staff there to speak to. I returned in the morning. The staff were nice but couldn't do anything and I had to go back the next day to speak to the owner on the phone. He was rude and wanted the money for the whole stay. After a lengthy conversation I gave In and paid for the night that I didn't stay there, just to get away from the place! Although the staff were nice, The owner seemed not to care at all and was very rude.

Bedbugs!

My boyfriend and me stayed for one night at Mosaix Gili on the 19th of October. We had to pay in the morning and in the end we found out that they also charged my credit card! Unfortunately, we do not have a receipt so they won't give us any money back. It's a pity because it was actually a nice place. So, be careful!

They made us pay twice!

Great friendly staff, cheap place to stay, very close to the beach / markets / shops on Gili T....

Breakfast included, wifi included 

However we didn't realise the showers were just a hosepipe outside... not a place for a luxury stay however great just for a cheap bed while travelling!

Although the bedding and hut was cleaned the sheets did have some stains on from previous stays. 

Wouldn't come again but that's because I'm a posh traveller but great for a chilled vibe and easy stay!

Interesting 

NULL STARNE!!! As we were going to bed, we noticed that the whole sheet was filled with many small blood stains! Since it was already late and we didn't want to move to another accommodation, we took it and lived with it. After a few minutes, however, we noticed how loud little bedbugs were crawling over the bed. Full of blood. BETWANZEN!! BETWANZEN!! We immediately informed the receptionist about this and he gave us another room. There was also a lot of blood stains there, but there was also a lot of blood stains! Also in this room there were BETWANZEN! We decided to go to another hotel shortly after 1 o'clock. But we shared this with the receptionist. This one also took off with the BETWANZEN. This way, however, the head of the BETWANZEN, and then we told the police about it and they gave us another room. Then we had to count the sheet with total blood stains! Also in this room there were BETWANZEN! We decided to go to another hotel

BED BUGS, threat with security

It's a small bungalow that doesn't look directly to the beach, deep in the streets further down the island, the bungalows are made of wood, the beds are pretty cradled, the bathroom and toilet are outdoors, the staff is super nice, they're young people, yet they're completely addicted to cannabis all day long.

Nice but questionable personal base

Ofan does his best to meet all your requests (boat booking, bike booking...), the rest of the team is just as cool.
