If you are coming to Karimun Jawa for very very good snorkelling, like me, and thats one of the reasons you should come here cause it really is outstanding - then you need a good snorkelling guide who can speak your language ( German/English & Indonesian ) and who KNOWS where the beautiful coral and fish is. Well, most of the local fishermen dont know where they are cause they dont snorkel. And most of the  guides just want your money and they bring you to the closest reefs/islands so they can save on the
petrol money.
The owner of this lovely homestay Rene has been snorkelling these waters for almost 10 years, he knows all the secret places and where to find what.
He knows all the currents and channels, and this is vital information for you so you can get the best out of your experience and most of all : The safest way !!!
Dont waste your time with a mediocre experience from the tourist trap "town"...better you put a bit of effort and go up to the north North island and stay with Rene,Rini and
their lovely daughter Emma, this is REAL homestay....
You will blow your brain out after seeing some corals that were moore beautiful than in Raja Ampat ( the best snorkel in all Indonesia ) Im not kidding...i coudnt belive it myself either.
You can have homecooking done for you if you want, and a motorbike is included in the room rent .

The BEST snorkelling !!!!!

We really enjoyed our stay there, the bungalow is piccobello clean and beautiful. Rene, Rini and Emma are very sweet and have read every wish from our eyes. A highlight of our entire holiday was the snorkeling trip with Rene, who knows the best places and showed us a whole new world.Thank you again! Also thanks for the excellent breakfast, the introduction to the scooter (and the free delivery), the many tips and overall the warm atmosphere. We are back!

A Wonderful Time in an Unusually Loving Family

Homestay highly recommended in Kemojan. The bungalow and all facilities are very clean and in very good condition. Rene and his family are very caring and care a lot for their guests. Every morning there is a very good homemade breakfast. The site is located in a quiet area with several beaches around it. I would definitely return to this accommodation.

Four days on the paradise island of Karimunjawa.

Very to recommend everything clean very nice and delicious own bread like were also snorkeling on three islands everything wet with eating the bungalow very nice and clean we could learn a lot about living with simple means and yet are all satisfied her just super thank you so much

The best week of the year for us

A beautiful guest house with very individual care provided by René and his family. A scooter is provided to explore the island. René showed us beautiful beaches where you can eat well and we also spent a boat trip to snorkel with him. Every morning there was a delicious breakfast prepared by Rini. We enjoyed the days there very much and can recommend it to anyone who wants to take a few days off. The room is equipped with a bed and mosquito net as well as a shower.

Holiday in Paradise, with René and his family

The host pic me up from airport and also brought me back to the airport. It was very interesting to see how the live on a island like karimunjawa is. The room is clean and the bathroom as well. He also made a snorkeling day with me without any stress just relaxing day and the next day he brought me to a island for camping one night on a wild island where nobody is living just me and the nature. I just can say where nice people and a you will surly enjoy it like me

Relax and chill in karimunjawa 

The time with Rene has been super nice! He and his family have created a little oasis at home to relax in. His hospitality is very pleasant. You have enough free space & yet he is always there for you. The snorkeling trip with Rene was the hammer. We both have some snorkeling trips behind us, but no one was as beautiful as this one by distance. The underwater world is untouched and dreamy. The care of Rene and his neighbor was very pleasant. He is a really relaxed person with whom it's nice to chat a lot & who can also tell you about life on Karimun. At the spots we went to, we were completely alone, since the standard was not so far away and even fresh for us.

It's a wonderful time in a great environment and with a very friendly host:)

We spent a total of 4 nights in René and Rini's homestay. During our stay, Rini (René's wife) and their daughter Emma were not there. Communication went smoothly both before and during the stay. We even met René at the airport in Semarang, where he had been waiting for us for 2.5h due to the delay of our flight. The bungalow in the family garden is very beautiful and equipped with everything you need. We also had a private bath with a cold shower, which did not disturb us in the warm temperatures. The breakfast was very tasty and very varied (best of all, pie, but also known Indonesian cuisine). At the dining room, there is also a very convenient restaurant, which is definitely a very convenient place to go, as we also had to go to a very good time in the Indian subcontinent. We also wanted to have a very good experience with all of our tourists and tourists, but we were always going to have a very good time in the West Indies. Great accommodation and great snorkeling trip

Rene and Rini helped us to get to the Karimunjawa from Surubaya by plane, which was a little bit difficult because you have to call the Servicestore of the airline at the airport to reservate tickets. In the end we got tickets and made it to Karimunjawa. 

Rene and Rini already had guest, nevertheless they organised another very nice Homestay, picked us up at the airport together with our new Host and brought us to the Homestay. At the next day they visited us together with their guests and showed us the Island.

This place is really perfect. We spent 4 days with Rene, Rini and Emma and had an amazing time there. The house is located in the north of the main island on Kemujan in a little village and is therefore perfect to escape the quite touristy main town. The bungalow is superclean and equipted with some cosy and tasteful funiture, a large and very comfortable bed with a moskitonet and has a large western style bathroom and a lovely wooden terace to the garden. Everything looks great and feels cosy while being highly functual. The family was really lovely and we felt very comfortable and welcome. We enjoyed having dinner with them in there house and having some beers together at Asari Timo Beach. They helped us with everything, from organizing speedbout tickets to arranging pills against sea sickness. With the provided scooter its fun to discover the island and Rene and Rini can share many information and tips for good places to see and beaches to hang out, But the best of all are the snorcheling trips to those little islands infront of the large one. Rene starts the trip on the other side of the main island than all the other tour operaters and therefore we spend two wonderful days out on the sea far away from all the other tourist boats. Rene is a passionated diver himself and nows all the best snorcheling spots around the archipelago. He brought me and my girlfriend to a lonely uninhabited island where we camped for one night on the beach. This was an unforgattable expierience. White sand beaches, coconut palms, turquoise-blue water, beautiful coral reefs right in front of the beach and a sweeping star spangled sky in the night. If you looking for something really special, this is the thing to go for...
