This is my third time in visiting Kura Kura Resort since 2022. And they’re getting better and better. My room’s always at the Private Pool and I’m happy this year I didn’t find the scary bugs I found two years ago and also last year. I brought 4 of my friends this year and they also very happy and we have plan to come back next year. The staffs are always friendly, it’s like a family. Mbak Nita, mas Siswanto, mbak Emy, Rosi Fitri, new chef pak Fajar and also new bartender Didi and Jepri at the restaurant. I was thrilled when mas Sis and chef Fajar making a Sundanese menu as an option because they knew that we are Sundanese. I’m spoiled. And the dish chef Fajar made is excellent Sundanese food. I still drooling when remember his gehu and rujak cuka. I can’t wait to be there again, lying on the sand at beach and having cocktails while watching sunset.

A lovely place and friendly staffs.

We were sent to Kura Kura Resort after a bad experience at another hotel close by and what a hotel this is. Soo peaceful, tranquil and yet typically Indonesian. We were met by “Herry”, a wonderful man, who couldn’t do enough for us. The rooms were spacious and cool, the pool was perfect, complete with an overhead cover to keep the water temperature cool and the location, ideal. Just off the beach, near the jetty, close enough to everything. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone 

Kura Kura resort “Herry”

The value for money is terrible.  The rooms feel like 1970, worn out and unclean.  The food is beyond boring and uncreative.  Frozen seafood on an island... impossible.  The service was really nice, but untrained.  You have to pay extra for WiFi.  Drinks and food are about ten times more expensive than in Karimunjava, about 5 kilometres away.  The diving instructor is unbelievably cheeky.  We were backpacking in Java for two weeks and only when I arrived at Kura Kura Resort did I get diarrhoea... after we complained, they gave us a room upgrade and dinner.  Unfortunately it was still frozen seafood.  The rooms were ok... Luckily we were only there for three days.

17000 km for that???

Amazing! Kura Kura is a beautiful island resort and you will be transported to a different world. It's a perfect place to disconnect from tech and enjoy a natural detox. The accommodations are spacious and well furnished. The restaurant serves delicious Italian and local cuisine and the bar is well stocked. The place has great diving and snorkeling sites and the resort has in house dive center to take you out on fun excursions. Sit under a canopy of coconut trees with a book in your hand and enjoy a peaceful sunset with the evening breeze brushing your hair. You can also enjoy paddle-boarding in the lagoon. This is a really fun activity to learn and enjoy with your spouse or family. The hospitality is top notch and the staff are very friendly. The manager Sandro personally came to receive us and see us off at the harbour - nothing quite like a personal touch! We greatly cherish the time spent here, thank you Kura Kura :)

Beautiful Island Retreat

The experience in Kura kura resort was wonderful in every aspect: 
- the island itself is a little paradise with a blue lagoon and inserted in a natural park with a great biodiversity (birds, fishes, plants)
- the staff is very professional, kind and helpful 
- even though the island is little there are plenty of activities (snorkeling, stand up paddle, Indonesian boat paddle, scuba diving, excursions, spa... And sun bathing of course)
- the food was delicious with a great variety of dishes for every meal (both Indonesian and Italian cuisine) 

The only complaints consist in the meals timing (sometimes way too long) and in the fact that there's no medical personnel in the island.

Wonderful experience

Myself and my husband stayed for 2 nights in September and we can’t speak more highly of our stay at Kura Kura Resort, we wished we had stayed for longer and will definitely be back. From the welcome on the jetty through to personally fitted snorkelling gear, a beautiful room with welcome gifts, sunset cocktails on the deck and snorkelling on the house reef - it was all perfect. We would highly recommend.

Paradise

We spent 3 nights in this diving resort and all the staff was amazing (diving team and other employees of the resort). 
The resort is beautiful and the service have been better. The quality of the facilities, Great villa with pool and utmost privacy, service and food were simply outstanding, but no WiFi, far from everything because the location in the middle of Karimun Jawa archipelago is stunning. We had the all inclusive experience of course, we enjoyed boat trips to visit the islands around the center and do some snorkeling and diving.
We can wake up listening the waves of the sea and the birds

Amazing experience

Perfect hotel in Karimunjawa. The island is BEAUTIFUL, perfect white sand stretch, perfect blue sea. We completed our diving advanced course with Roberta, got to see turtles and bamboo sharks, but it depends if you are lucky or not. The reefs are well preserved with a lot of life!! 
All staff is very nice, and the food is delicious!! The fresh grilled fish is worth the extra rupias. 
Already dreaming with next years visit! 

Perfection 

We stayed in 2 pool villas at the Kura Kura Resort. From our arrival to our departure we had a fantastic relaxing stay (without WiFi) to enjoy real family time. 
Cristiano and Roberta and the team manage the resort at high quality standards, an outstanding service and cleanliness, a great quality and variety of Indonesian and Italian dishes joined by fresh tropical juices.  During the daytime, paddle boards, snorkeling, diving or just time to relax and read a good book. It was above what we expected. Very recommended!

Above expectations! 

Absolutely we will come back to Kura Kura Resort. The quality is outstanding. Food, rooms, Staff and don't forget diving.

We stayed as a family in two Pool villa's. Absolute luxery. But it seems all rooms have a lot of privacy and are in top condition. The staff will be of assistance where ever needed. Food is Mediterian or Asian, as you prefer. Mix is also possible. The rooms we had where topclass. And housekeeping Jeeps it that way.

We went by quick ferry, everything arranged by the resort. Came there also for diving. The school is good and well equiped but we had our own equipment with us. Daniel and Roberta run the diving with boatcrew and serving staff. Everything relaxed and well organized. There are not man divers what is strange. The corals are beautiful and Big. Sight is nota's in Sulawesi but good enough to have good dives. Advantage of not man divers is that you have the reef for yourself. 

To reccomend definately is a night dive to see bamboo sharks and lots of other stuff. 

Thanks to all the staff at Kura Kura Resort. We will defenately come back. Our stay was too short 😂.
