Very nice location that you can easy reach once in the island, it's very close to the harbour.
The host is the best guy, he gives you anything you need, info, services...
Small homestay facing the sea, very quiet and great for chilling.
Rooms are humble and comfortable, only the bathroom is outside, but you still have shower in the room...

Location and friendly service

Price-performance ratio is absolutely right. The accommodation is simple but clean, the rooms have their own shower, the toilet is shared, breakfast is delicious, water for refilling is free, plastic consumption is reduced! At night a beautiful wind blows from the sea, more beautiful than directly on the spot... scooters can be rented on the spot, you need it on the island anyway!

Great guesthouse right by the water.

Waru is the perfect guesthouse if you want to relax and wake up looking at the sea without moving away from the heart of Karimunjawa. Unfortunately it will close next year To expand the luxurious hotel that is hiding in two steps. Don't miss this simple Indonesian paradise. Quality/price 10. Thank you waru.

Simplicity at sea

Spartan accommodation for bakers. The bed consisted only of a mattress on the floor. This one was very comfortable. A mosquito net was also available, but had a few holes, so for safety's sake bring some tape. Unusual was that although there was a connected bathroom, but the toilet itself was a community toilet outside. If you value your own bathroom, you should note this. The rooms themselves are very clean, as well as the beach (at least outside the water). The location itself is quite convenient near the pier and the village and with its own beach. Unfortunately, the small bathroom entrance is only suitable for the little ones.

Nice accommodation for low-budget backpackers

We stayed for a week, Karimunjawa has lots of things to do even it's a small island. Waru is very well located, close to the harbour, clean rooms and cool staff (Ozi has helped us with everything we needed! ). 
Check your boat schedule/available in advance if you want to leave the island on time! Or take enough time to enjoy Karimunjawa!

great location, friendly staff

Stayed there for 2 nights. Actually the place is quite nice. They have hammocks and located near the port. But they have serious issues for cleanliness. Could have been better if they clean the room regularly 

Need improvement

For a backpackers, it's a great choice to stay here. The owner, Oji is nice. He have a trip packet to escort you to snorkeling trips and shark seeing.  It provides you with breakfast, coffee and tea for self-service, they have hammock facilities and beach chairs since the guesthouse is eight infront of the beach. It is near the harbor, you can just walk to it. Overall, it's the best.

Great

Price was cheap, the bed was okay (slept tight for 3 days), shared bathroom, but the room lil bit hot, feel stifled.
The best thing was we can lay down at the hammock between the trees named Waru and side the beach. Very peaceful and healing. 
Breakfast menu was pancake and pancake again. 
No wifi access. Hopefully soon will be available.

Walking distance to the main harbour, lazy to leave

Waru Guesthouse is perfectly located, it's a small and clean complex, surrounded by beautiful nature, interesting snorkeling spot. If you like it easy, family friendly and quiet, it's perfectly maintained here. I've had 11 wonderful days. Very friendly and helpful staff. If you need luxury, you're out of place here! Good for singles, couples and families.
