The place is beautiful and well maintained and Coco and his wife are very attentive and willing to take care of their guests. We were very good, we would definitely go back there if we were to go back to this beautiful part of Indonesia.

The right place with the right people

Great place, great hospitality. 

All the staff is very friendly and helpful and the waterfront villas are sooo awesome. My wife and I and our 3 kids spent 6d5n at Omah Alchy Karimun Jawa snorkeling, diving, fishing, hill hiking, paddling, sun bathing, beach walking, jet skiing, islands hopping and exploring the town. And plenty of fresh seafood too! Very refreshing and enjoyable, definitely will come back again someday.

Awesome

A beautiful cottage, so very comfy, spotlessly clean and welcoming. Frank, Mas Nino, Mas Koko and Holy are the perfect hosts and were excellent. Cano-ing with breathtaking views it was feel like walkin above the gigantic aquarium so peaceful and calm. Thank you both so very much for making our holiday so very special.

First timer and it was a blast!

We loved to stay at Omah Alchy Cottages for our honeymoon. 
The room we stayed in was great with an obviously amazing view with the ocean and sunset right infront of us!! 
Comfty bed and pillows. 
Private veranda with sunbeds and free drinking water. 

The manegers and staff of Omah Alchy was very understanding to provide me indonesian vegan food on request, we ate most of our meals there on our stay in Karimunjawa. 

And we used the free canooes to paddle around the beautiful surroundings infront of Omah Alchy!
And it was also easy to rent a scooter from them to get around the island!

We defenetly recommend anyone to book your stay at Omah Alchy Cottages!!

Honeymoon vibes

Omah Alchy is a charming place run by a friendly family and the best place to spend your holiday on Karimun Jawa, believe me. Our family has been 4 times at Karimun and every time we choose it for our stay. First of all, the location is in walking distance to the "city" and easy to reach. Special is the private access to the sea with a long jetty from where you can go on a canoe ride on your own or on that you can hang out watching the sunset over the endless sea or dreaming to the stars at night. Wonderful! 

The rooms and cottages that are arranged around a big, green courtyard are spacious, tastefully designed with a love for details and sparkling clean. We loved the Madagasbar Resto that serves delicious food with a good balance between nasi and international dishes. Not to forget the people: Manager Koko, his family and staff are easy-going, lovely people that are always there to answer all your questions or help you with anything you need. Don't forget to go on an island-hopping and snorkeling tour with them on their cool boat that takes you to the best places above and under water. Actually, we didn't feel like being hotel guests but like spending a visit at a friend's place.  

Don't think twice after reading this review. Book your stay and enjoy a great holiday ;).

Charming, cozy, directly at the Sea and with good spirits!

Koko is a wonderful Host that did really everything to make out Stay as pleasant as possible! We had rain and a cancelled flight but everyone organized us everything. Thank you so much koko and See you soon!

Best homestay of the Island

I stayed at Omah Alchy resort only for 3 days (2 nights) and so for too little time I was able to enjoy the wonder of the wooden and stone house on the sea. After comparing the different possible solutions in Karimunjawa I opted for this resort, because it was one of the few with cottages on the sea, not too far from the village. In fact the village of Karimunjawa is reached in 5 minutes by motorbike. The wooden houses on the water are fantastic: mine was the closest to the restaurant/receptiion area, but it was very quiet, made up of a small living room, with a balcony, a table, a bedroom in the stone part of the house, bathroom (see photo) and - the most peaceful, a quiet and discreet interpatio on the sea floor with a steeply divided view of the land.

A little dream come true

I cannot thank Koko enough, for making my visit to Karimunjawa, so wonderful! His easy, “laid back” style, made me feel “right at home,” at Omah Alchy! In spite of all of my concerns about the fast boat transfer, he made sure everything was “fixed,” for my journey! During my visit, he went out of his way, to assist with everything I wanted to see and do! The location of Omah Alchy is quiet and yet convenient to the village, by scooter. My cottage was comfortable and afforded me, a lot of privacy,  and panoramic views, including beautiful sunsets, every evening! I cannot wait to return to Olmy Alchy! Thank you so much, Koko and team, for making my visit, so special!

Worth all of the effort, to reach Karimunjawa!

I whole-heartedly recommend this place. I stayed a few nights initially but am extending my stay. Koko and his family are exceptionally wonderful and helpful (!) hosts. Really stellar people. As for the place itself, its a gem. The view from the pier is so relaxing. Prime spot for a sunset. Its an easy 1km walk into town (or take a scooter) to catch the night market or hang at one of the hostels if you want company. But for me the difference is that you get much better value for money than if you stay in one of the hostels "in town", yet its not as far away as some of the more remote places. Its a true little slice of eco-paradise if you want a bit more eco-luxury, be sufficiently close to other humans & food, yet get your peace & quiet when you need it (and a good night's sleep!). You can use the paddle boards and canoes or go for a run in the morning if you feel active. Its under 5km to run to sunset beach, and not much traffic in the morning. They have a few lovely (and polite! they dont bother you) dogs that they take care of, since they are not really welcome in the rest of town (its not a pet-oriented island). And what I particularly liked is that Koko and his family are very actively involved in improving the sustainability of the island (plastic recycling, etc.) When I stayed there, Koko temporarily housed a unit which can turn plastic into fuel (not yet operational at the time of writing). From what I understand this was bought by a local foundation, and the unit will be moved into a proper facility elsewhere and be put into use soon, now that the foundation got some goverment funding. In the meantime, all plastic gets separated already and stored in huge binbags. Ohmar Alchy's restaurant (excellent and very reasonably priced!) only uses metal straws, and there is moreover a big water tank in each room to fill up your bottle. You will inevitably have an impact as a tourist, but this helps you reduce your footprint!

The best place on the island

When you arrive in Karimunjawa it's a mess, thank you very much, waiting for you in the harbor. Coco, as the manager of this small hotel is called, waited for us and took us to the hotel in his car. We stayed in a villa, in the middle of a lagoon, to which you can access for a while. Simple but clean, with air conditioning, and incredible views. The best sunsets I've ever seen. Coco is great, managed the return ferry, rented us a motorbike ((2€/day) and his team makes some dream breakfasts! Enjoy the good price of this hotel! Incredible.
