Wonderful vacation, a long way from home, but well worth the 3 planes, bus, and boat rides to experience this beautiful resort and the gorgeous diving here!  We were welcomed early morning on our arrival day by the staff welcoming us by a first names, a quick hotel briefing, and a wonderful breakfast! While we ate and relaxed, our luggage was moved to our rooms, where we returned to refresh before our briefing to the diving for the upcoming 10 days! 

Diving was done in groups of 4 divers with 1 guide, which was excellent! We had plenty of time for pictures and interacting with our own Dive Guide. The boats are roomy, towels provided, a shower to rinse off, a marine head, water, tea, coffee, and snacks. There was oxygen and first aid kits on each boat. Back rolls were used to get into the water, and the crew assisted you into your gear, and encouraged you to hand up weights and slip out of your gear in the water, before boarding the boat. Since there were only 4 of you in a group, this was done easily and smoothly. Diving was mostly drift dives, and the guides were very knowledgeable, with great eyes! There are some before dinner presentations done in the Treehouse area about things you can see while diving. These were well done and informative! 

The resort itself is gorgeous and well groomed! The rooms are spacious, great amenities like a stocked mini frig, coffee and tea maker, and your own hot and cold water dispenser. The beds have insect netting, which the staff unfolds each night at bed turndown, and tie back in the morning when they clean the rooms. We only saw a mosquito or 2, as the resort treats the area to prevent them, and those were in the open air bathroom. 

The spa is very nice! So many massages to choose from, as well as all sorts of other things like aromatherapy, facials, manicures, pedicures, scrubs, and more! The masseuses we had were very skillful, and we wanted to go back, but just ran out of time! You will enjoy whatever you choose!

Meals were a real treat! Most days we had buffets on the beach area, and all breakfasts were served in an open air central porch area surrounding the pool. Meals were salads, soup, several main courses and sides, and then the desserts, with fresh fruits as well! Just excellent, no matter what you chose! We had a pizza night, sushi night, and a couple other choose from the menu and sit down dinners during our stay. Local entertainment a couple nights on the beach with singing and dancing, and information about the island of Siladen itself! 

The staff at Siladen were wonderful, attentive, and so helpful! A “wish” became a “we’ll make that for you”, all the time during our stay. Very special, friendly, you are family while you are here, with a we care atmosphere, at this resort! Ana and Miguel, the resort managers are readily accessible, and always walking around, as are Lea and Leo, the dive shop managers! Our group celebrated 5 milestones during our visit, and we made them special, and then the staff added in their personal touches to make those occasions even better! You will not be disappointed about any part of your stay here! 

Absolutely a Stellar Experience! 

We were there for a snorkelling trip and loved it. At Siladen the people were great, the rooms and resort facilities are excellent, loved the pool and food. The whole ambience is exactly what you would expect of a tropical resort.
Plus the snorkelling guides took us to some fabulous snorkel sites. They were always helpful and looked out for us. Would definitely stay here again.

Snorkel Venture trip

We felt very welcome from the beginning. Very nice reception, top regional and international cuisine, very clean and comfortable hotel. Super nice and friendly host. Eating on the beach instead of in the restaurant adds another pure holiday feeling. The massages are highly recommended. The dive center, guides and staff are super nice and competent. We have really been able to experience very nice dives. Super comfortable beds on the beach and at the pool.

Many of the other reviews have described Siladen resort so well but I will try to add my own comments. Everything about our stay at Siladen was pitch perfect- the staff, the luxurious villas, the delicious and varied food and, of course, the incredible diving and snorkelling. My two teenage sons were wonderfully looked after by the dive team and had such a formative experience diving with them and the other guests (many of whom were expert divers drawn to this beautiful marine park).   Leo and Lea went out of their way to help them with sea creature identification and diving/breathing techniques- making such a personal effort to give them a special experience, for which I am so grateful. I loved the snorkeling and was also more than happy to relax, reading by the stunning beach and pool while my family went diving. Ana and Miguel are kind and welcoming hosts. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough. We had a once in a lifetime experience…only, we are determined to repeat it! 

An outstanding experience- luxurious and so very personal

It is a wonderful resort and is run by Ana and Miguel with a lot of heart. The bungalows are very well maintained and clean. The meals are excellent and for every taste there is something in it. Diving is a dream, the whole staff is very helpful and always concerned for the well-being of the divers. The dive sites are in the immediate vicinity and a great deal of heart. For everyone (divers & non-divers) something to do with it

After 2016 and 2018, we came here from Papua/Raja Ampat to enjoy the top service and the fine food. The quality has remained and Ana and Miguel still take excellent care of their guests. We were in a garden bungalow since the beach bungalows were already booked. But nothing matters - you can relax by the pool or by the beach. The underwater world is still intact here too and we had many beautiful dives with our guide ferry. The Dive Center is run by a Swiss couple and the service is perfect. We were always on the road with Ferry, which mocked the smallest creatures. We have enjoyed the highest quality food and the presentation of the spearhead is not ready to top this resort for the future too!

High-quality culinary, service and perfect underwater world

The resort is exclusive and in a wonderful location, impeccable management, efficient service, the staff cooks you and everyone knows your name. The restaurant is of the level with dishes prepared at the time every different day, the spa massages are very pleasant and the diving center is super... super organized with excellent equipment, comfortable boats and professional staff, which conveys you joy. Under the sea the multicolored coral walls are a natural artwork.

A wonderful vacation to Sulawesi

We wanted to thank Ana and Miguel for their warm welcome. We spent 6 nights at the Siladen. Everything was perfect, one without fault. The rooms are spacious and clean, superb outdoor sdb, 2 housekeeping passes a day. The meals are varied and divine, and as soon as the weather permits you eat your feet in the sand at noon and at night. Animations regularly. The beach towels are available on the boat or by the pool, so there is no need to load up. Thank you also to Léa and Leo at the diving centre as well as Roby and the others.

A little corner of paradise

This review deserves to be precise: The long, white beach where you can stroll in all tranquility without meeting anyone. The island is subject to snorkeling but despite this access to any professional bridge is splendid, besides it is a protected marine park with a coral barrier accessible even to those who are not a proficient swimmer. And what a rich coral barrier, where you can see any kind of fish, coral, tartar and so on simply by snorkeling. The rooms we have a beautiful, spacious, tastefully furnished beachfront villa, a very spacious outdoor patio where you can relax in the spaciousness of the resort or the lack of water, thanks to the fact that the spacious dining area is also a beautifully spaced out area with a very different price, and you have been brought from the P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P.

A little corner of heaven

This is quite simply the best diving and dive resort I have ever visited. The corals and sea life are amazing, the staff are fantastic, the dive centre is very professional, the spa is lovely, the food is great and that view over the sea to the nearby volcano at sunset will remain with me forever.
