In a time when many reefs die , Bunaken  it’s blooming! 
We returned here after 2 years. It’s the first time when we go to the same destination again! I’m almost afraid to say too much about this place , because I don’t want it to become touristy! :-)
   However Amedeo and Roberto deserve all the congratulation for the conditions provided! Besides everything that has been written before , I want to mention the care taken of my son when he wasn’t feeling well and the surprise cake for my birthday! Many ,many thanks , again !
PS. Next time I hope to find better airplane tickets, so that you won’t wake up at 4:30 in the morning to say goodbye ! :-)

Hidden gem for diving and snorkeling

Raja-laut Coral view is everything that you are looking for -  a peaceful and relaxing retreat. The room is comfortable and clean with a nice terrace with a table and hammock. The meals are very good thanks to the excellent chefs that prepare fresh and delicious food. The swimming pool and the terrace with the view over the sea completes the ingredients for a fully relaxing experience. Being located in the east part of the island, the resort offers limitless options for diving, both during the day and in the night. The place is a diving paradise  to experience the diversity of the Indonesian sea. The seagrass beds in front of the resort entangled with mangroves (landward) and a beautiful coral garden (seaward) offer an incredible opportunity for a safe snorkelling environment where you can admire a full set of sea creatures.
Roberto and Amedeo, the owners of the resort, and experience diver instructor, offer the best opportunity to dive in the island thanks to their attention to the equipment and thank to their knowledge of all the diving spots int he island. We dived every day of our stay and we always experienced new diving site and excellent night diving.

Superb experience

Our decision to stay on Bunaken as opposed to Manado proved to be more of a bonus than we thought. For the diving, the shorter boat rides were a pleasant change and of course the wall/reef dives were exceptional. The real surprise was the Raja Laut Coral View resort. Here was an intimate group of four bungalows which we had occupied three and had effectively a resort to ourselves. Amedeo and his wife spoilt us with their hospitality, feeding us scrumptious meals and joining us at lunch and dinner. Our bungalows were large, clean, airconditioned and comfortable. The resort is located at the top of a long flight of stairs from the beach but once up there you are greeted by a beautiful infinity pool overlooking the water. This was always our first stop after a day of diving, just lounging around in the pool with a cool bottle of our favourite drink. If ever you needed a place to unwind and enjoy some great diving I wholly recommend staying at the Raja Laut Coral View resort and take in the underwater beauty of Bunaken Island.

Tropical Sanctuary

We had such a wonderful stay at Raja Laut Coral View resort on Bunaken Island, so many great things to say about this place and the diving being so extraordinary - love those awesome coral walls. The bungalows were very comfortable, clean and have wonderful views from the deck. The meals were all served from the dining area which has a sensational view - and loved the sandy floor. Having Amedeo and his wife join us at meal times was a nice touch also, in fact all the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Plamena, over dive guide, did a great job caring for all our needs. 
Island life - a lovely place to stay which such great dive sites on the door step.

Diving Paradise

Coral View Laut.
This is a heavenly paradise. The reviews were so good that it made me a bit anxious – as the saying goes when it is too good to be true then it is too good to be true. Well this was as good as all the reviews.  Probably even better. The location and views were amazing, to die for so to speak. We were a group of 6 divers that shared three of the four available bungalows.  The bungalows were fantastic, clean, spacious and well appointed. They each contained a queen bed and single bed and had the obligatory  air conditioning and a fan.  The bathrooms were indoor/outdoor bathrooms and again clean. The pool had the best view and we spent most afternoons after diving soaking by the pool taking in the best view.  We got up one morning to see the sunrise (about 5.30 am) which was early but well worth it.  The staff were attentive and nothing was too hard. Everything was relaxed. The owner Armedeo and his wife were the perfect hosts. They dined with us for lunch and dinner the whole time we were there and provided advise about exploring the island. He even drew us a very detailed map.  The diving was fabulous. We have dived here before but stayed on the mainland at Manado. Bunaken island is a much better location and this resort is highly recommended. The diving guides/instructor (Plamena) was great. Friendly and informative. Paradise

We have just returned from this resort, top marks across everything, Diving world class, Accommodation and cuisine is first class and service top marks, I could go on for ever , but anyone considering a top Dive trip/resort , you cannot  go past Raja Laut Coral View , I cannot recommend it enough

First class resort

Best kept secret in Indonesia.
We stayed at this beautiful resort for 10 days and the experience was relaxing with the diving being extraordinary.

The journey from Melbourne was via Singapore then another flight to the Northern Sulawasi.city of Manado.  Raja Laut Coral View resort is an hours boat ride away from Manado and is located on Bunaken Island.

Boat ride and transfers were clean, safe and professional and coordinated by the Italian resort owners Roberto and Amedeo.   Italians are known for their warmth, passion and food and these guys take that experience to the next level and share their dive knowledge and passion for  the environment with their guests.

We stayed at their second small and intimate resort called Raja Laut Dive Resort.    The bungalows were air conditioned and comfortable.   The dining area and pool are both located at a high vantage point overlooking the ocean and outer islands.    We had the resort to ourselves and spent the afternoon poolside under the shade of large umbrellas that captured the sea breeze.

Food was a combination of Italian and Indonesia cuisine and accompanied by steamed rice & vegetables.   Tasty, filling and plenty of it, meant we weren’t snacking in between meals.   Freshly caught fish and pork dominated the menu with icy cold Bintangs to wash it down!

Amedeo is passionate about authentic Italian food; therefore the homemade pizza and pasta were tasty and moorish.   Being able to sit around a table and share food and stories with your host was a highlight of the trip for us.  All meals were included in the price and this is a bonus.

The island has 3 main villages and many small dive based resorts which are randomly dotted around the island.    Village life is traditional with fishing and diving being the only mainstream employment.   The destination is about the diving as there are no restaurants or department stores.   Island life is simple and laid back.

The scuba diving experience was incredible! 

Roberto gave us passionate and informative dive briefs with a focus on not only the fish life, but the biodiversity, topography and environmental impact of tourist on the marine park.  

Diving in a dedicated marine park that is both as diverse as it colourful was an exceptional experience.   Wall, drift and lagoon dives with healthy reefs, large schools of fish were the highlight of every dive.   Our guides identified smaller creatures for our cameras which meant every dive was a new experience.   We chose to do 2 dives a day, however 3-4 dives were available with night dives an option.

Great accommodation, food and diving experience!

It's hard to express in a few lines how exciting and lively our experience at Coral View has been. We've just moved a few tens of miles away and it's already missing the heat of that place. Staff from the kitchen to the boat going through the extraordinary accommodation and paying attention to every detail. Think of something and they already express your desire. Beautiful bungalows and with every service. Area solarium with room and shower facing the sea. Dive spot from screaming.

A Dream for the Divers

The Coral View is a paradise for the diverse and not! The structure (quiet, cozy and collective) is raised above sea level and, from the bungalows as well as from the restaurant or pool, you enjoy a breathtaking view of the sea! The staff is 10! The owners take care of every single detail personally; they are two super competent sub instructors and offer courses for all levels (from open water to dive master). The diving to say the least! Beautiful!!! Great walls full of coral, turtles everywhere, nudibranchs, crustaceans of every kind... Don't miss the nights! I just missed the game and I'm already dying!

An angle of paradise

The resort is familiar in the sense that there are only 4 villas and you dine with all the guests. The kitchen is always varied and very good. The location of the resort is a little elevated compared to sea level so there is a beautiful view, perhaps a small neo: it is difficult to manage to snorkel because to cross the coral reef there is a nice skating to do.
