I read several reviews before choosing this hotel. I saw people talking about the karaoke bar and thought “how bad could it really be?!”. 

I was wrong!! It is bad!! And soooo loud. I was in a deluxe room near the pool, and it felt like I was sleeping in the bar with the awful singers. The feedback from the speakers is so loud, I really think some of the nearby restaurants and hotels should get together and just ask them to turn it down a bit. 

The hotel itself is clean and comfortable and suited my needs otherwise. Pool was quiet and relaxing for someone traveling solo. Breakfast was ordinary and plain. There’s no swim up bar if that’s something you desire. I enjoyed my stay, but wouldn’t return with my family. 

They aren’t kidding about the Karaoke!

Was originally very disappointed with the room I was given as it was noting compared to the photos on the internet. However staff were very quick to respond with moving us to a newly renovated room. In their defense I think they assumed I would prefer a pool side room over a newly renovated room. The renovated rooms are excellent, Very comfortable bedding, cold Air-con. Good Breakfast included if you opt for it.
Staff even went to the trouble of putting up a "Happy Birthday" sign.

Good Clean Rooms,

This was our third stay stayed in a superior suite on ground floor great staff from the room boy to reception can not praise them enough recommend staying here will be back in July looking forward to staying again in one of the renovated rooms

To be fair, this hotel was actually pretty nice. Room was good - think we had a superior, we saw a standard and it was a bit boxy. Location was great. Staff were helpful. But between 9pm and about 1am the karaoke from across the road is pretty terrible. Perhaps it varies night from night, and maybe you'll get some good singers, but we never want to hear Abba's 'Dancing Queen' murdered again that's for sure. Honestly, I could sleep through a nuclear attack so it didn't bother me overly much, but my partner say there for hours with her ears bleeding unable to sleep until they turned it off each night. There are some places you'd expect this sort of stuff in the party zone, but we didn't think we were in that zone so were quite disappointed. If you're hard of hearing, not an issue, for everyone else, beware. 

PS Breakfast was OK but not great. For 80,000Rp you may be better off just going somewhere down the street instead.

Beware the Karaoke!

This was about our 6th stay at the Casa Padma.

We stayed in a Deluxe Suite on the ground floor, for 12 nights - It was one of the newly renovated rooms. The deluxe suites have a small dining and lounge area, with flat screen tv. The bathroom had been updated since our last stay, now with a large free standing bathtub.
As far as people go, in the daytime, this is a quiet hotel, which we prefer, without throngs of kids running around screaming, like there was when we stayed at one of the larger 5 star hotels on the beach at Legian last year. This is one reason we keep coming back.

At night time, things change a little, with the 'Legian Pub' directly across the road. The pub host's Karaoke every night until midnight. This can be loud, funny and sometimes quite entertaining but....if you are a light sleeper, it may be annoying for you. We laid in bed on a few occasions, listening to the inebriated party-goers trying to scream in tune to their favourite songs.  It does not bother us enough to deter us from returning.

The Casa Padma provides transfers to and from the airport and the staff are lovely.

We had one small issue with our room during our stay which was sorted out quickly.

Don't be expecting a buffet breakfast either, it is a set menu, where you can choose from and American Breakfast, Continental Breakfast or Indonesian breakfast. There is also fresh juices available, but unfortunately on several occasions during our stay, our favourite, Banana juice, was not available. That being said, I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.

The Casa Padma is only a few minutes walk to the beach, close to Garlic lane and lots of really good restaurants.
We will continue to come back each year.

Great location, close to beach and restaurants.

We stayed in a standard room and the room size was good but the bathroom was tiny. I stayed with a friend so we booked a twin room. On arrival we were given a room with just one bed. When we asked for a twin room they stated they didn't have any available but they had a deluxe room we could have which would be double the price. The location was great though. Close to the beach and some nice restaurants. Staff were very helpful. Some nights you could hear very loud music from the bars across the street. We didn't mind though

Central location

Location is great, room is massive and nice, bathroom is large but shower has a lot of mould on the silicon, hot water sometimes takes 10 mins to get hot in the shower, wifi is awful, Staff were great.

Good and bad

Casa Padma is situated with in walking distance to all our favourite restuarant’s  and bars. The rooms are freshly renovated and are still undergoing teething problems (fittings need tightening, new plumbing is leaking but it will all be sorted). Friendly staff, room service stops after 11pm. 

Quiet hotel

We stay here when we come to Bali and we love it.... the service is great and the whole place has been renovated.. big rooms and nice and clean... they can't do enough for you and nothing's to hard... HIGHLY RECOMMEND this hotel

Home away from home

We stayed as a family of 4 adults and 2 children and had a nice stay. We stayed in 2 side by side superior suites which were well appointed. The beds were comfortable and the rooms huge. It was wonderful to step out of our rooms and into the pool. We did have a few issues with the stay though. These included night time maintenance of the water system outside our room (flood lights and 5 workers), aircon not being strong enough for the size of the room (we bought a small fan from carrefour) and children jumping off the restaurant deck outside our room at 9.30 at night which was allowed by staff because the parents were spending money in the restaurant. When we complained to the front desk we were informed that the pool closes at 10pm however the welcome book said otherwise. Besides these issues we really enjoyed our stay and have rebooked 3 rooms for next year
