We, I and my wife, stayed for five nights at the Holiday Inn Resort Baruna Bali. The hotel is located right on the beach in the Kuta area, a short five minutes drive from the Ngurah Rai International Airport. We had arrived early at around 12 noon and although the check-in time was 3 pm, we were given our room a little after 1 pm. And, the pleasant surprise was an upgrade from a superior room to a pool view sea facing room! The room was spacious with a sit-out verandah and a nice bathroom with a shower cubicle, toiletries and hair drier. The bed was comfortable and had a selection of soft and hard pillows. In the room there was a lounge-sofa with foot-stool, refrigerator, television, iron and ironing board, phone, free WiFi, slippers, bathrobes and arrangement for coffee-tea. The complimentary buffet breakfast had a good spread with adequate selection of a variety of items. We had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay.

An Excellent Beach Resort!

They have one of best rooms. Hospitality is good too. You can chill in the pool sip on some cocktails.
They serve good food and is well connected to city centre.
concierge service is good and is very friendly and helpful.

Nice place to stay

Very huge resort... Lots of room categories...... Very well managed , lots activities are also available... They have two restaurants and one pool baar... They have good beach two.. 

We were there with our kids we needed lots of things for our kids every time and staff were always helpful 
Nice location also it is situated between the market and also very near to the airport i think it took 5mins from the airport by car.. 
Food was delicious although in our group majority was vegetarian but we had good choice of food .. for indians who want indian food then this bad option for us to stay because they dont have any food cuisine food ya but in breakfast they served some of indian food but bread omelette was better than that

Nice place nice resort but in terms of food there are lots more better option than this but in terms of facilities and location its the best rest in that area

Nice beach resort

One of the best address in Kuta good location and availability of good Indian vegetarian food make sure you change your currency before entering property there currency rates are lower than market.Beautiful property beach needs to be cleaned more.Service is good.

Good property 

As a long time member of the IHG Priority Club, I spend a lot of time in Holiday Inn hotels around the world on business. I had never stayed in a Holiday Inn Resort before so was unsure what to expect.
We arrived after dark at the Airport and the hotel sent a mini bus to collect us. From that moment, we were treated like valued guests with the driver furnishing us with bottled water and flower garlands. The trip to the hotel was only a mile or so but the traffic in Bali is insane at the best of times so it took perhaps 25 minutes.
Arriving at the hotel, as soon as I was recognised as a top tier member, we were ushered to a really nice area and served with welcome drinks whilst our check in was processed quickly and efficiently.
We were then taken to our room (our luggage followed) to a fantastic room with loads of space and a modern feel but with a view over the gardens and to the sea. Wonderful.
Throughout our stay, we had breakfast most mornings which was good and plentiful and most evenings we ended up retiring to the Envy bar with it's views over the ocean to watch the sunset with drinks and food.
Every single member of staff from the waiters to the pool cleaner to housekeeping were friendly and made you feel welcome and valued at all times.
With direct access to the beach and just a few minutes walk into central Kuta, the location was fantastic. Whilst this is close to the airport, and you can see the planes, you dont really hear them and they certainly didn't disturb us. Meanwhile, facilities in the hotel were as expected with a nice pool (with more than enough loungers), a selection of bars and plenty of staff on hand to help.
So a lovely hotel, amazing service, wonderful staff and a nice location.
Our expectations were totally exceeded

This was not the Holiday Inn I was expecting

Couldn’t wish for a better location on Kuta Beach.wish we could have stayed longer.nice walk along the beach to the shops and restaurants.i just loved the canopies on the ground overlooking the sea.not far from airport cost 100000 Indonesian money £5.50 staff are lovely and polite we were upgraded to a junior suite for being spire elite

Excellent location on Kuta beach

Note that I am a IHG member, so chose this hotel based on my preference for staying at their establishments. It is very well located in terms of arrival from the airport, access to Kuta surfing reefs ($10 boat hire out on the beach to rear of hotel) and if after some local shopping (Lippo mall within 100m). We where upgraded to the Big Ocean room which was ample in size to accomodate our family of 5 (children aged 13, 11 and 8). Our room was large and had a great view of Kuta reef lefts and middle reef. The room though is in need of a refurbishment as looking a little worn. The morning buffet breakfast at Palms was adequate and had a varying variety of dishes. Plus the kids eat free (with purchasing adult) programme was an added bonus for lunches or late arvo snacks. The resort pool was large enough for the kids to have a play, and the basket ball hoop helped them pass some time to allow the parents some time out. Probably a little disappointed that the kids activities as advertised where not followed through by the resort staff. Only on one of the days of the six that we where around did one of the staff take the kids from the pool for an organised game of soccer. More could be done for the kids activities. Overall safe, well established and well located resort if looking to locate in the South Kuta area.

Good location in South Kuta

We have stayed a number of times at the Holiday Inn over the past few years - it is a favourite of my 6 year old son! The staff really make this place...they always remember us, and are wonderfully and consistently accommodating of even the smallest request. Their concern and care is genuine and heartfelt, and every single one seems to love their job. The food is great throughout the resort, and reasonably priced.  The staff at Envy even remembered our food preferences - which is appreciated. This stay we split our time between a beach view room on the 3rd floor, which had a lovely view out over the resort and beach and a family suite, which is 2 interconnecting rooms with a large outdoor space. Previously we had stayed in a Junior Garden Access suite, away from the main buildings. We found the main building to be loud, with many inconsiderate guests screaming as they traversed the hotel...this is certainly not the hotels fault but I would not choose to stay in the main wing again - we'd instead go back to the quiet oasis that is the suites! I think there has been a change in management (maybe GM) since our last stay and you can tell - the mood is brighter and staff seem generally happier.  The hotel is great value for money, walking distance to amenities, close to the airport and has wonderful lush surrounds - we will definitely return again. See you all next time!

The Staff Make It!

Such a friendly resort, the staff at holiday inn are so kind, they have a big pool for the kids and a in pool bar for the adults!, it is right on middle and airport reefs for the surfers and the fishing boats will take you out if you want a swim, breakfast is pretty good. Definitely a great family resort and right in the centre of downtown Kuta. 

Amazing 

This was a real treat. The property is fantastic and the staff is very helpful and courteous. The rooms were extremely spacious and clean. The manicured lawns and great pool added an extra tinge to the full set up. Kids' club was quite a relief and my daughters loved it. Overall it was a fantastic experience.
