So we ordered food and were told that my meal wasn't available two minutes before my husband's was brought out! I'm a vegetarian and the menu was already limited and then I was told this Greek restaurant couldn't provide a Greek salad as they had no tomatoes! We even offered to go buy some but by then his food was out so there was no point my ordering anything! We are backpacking and very rarely treat ourselves to a tourist place ... Normally street food or local restaurants where we are happy with food arriving separately when you're paying a sixth of the price! We then asked for the owner but she was sleeping so apparently couldn't speak with us.

Shocking.

Gentle staff but superb boss, light plate for the price, when the boss doesn't have money it's for our mouths and we're not the only ones and all that without a smile which doesn't reflect the local population

What to Avoid

We slept at the Selini one night after a three-day boat tour. The place is really unique and very characteristic, we arrived dead tired and just wanted to rest before the flight that was waiting for us very soon the next morning. After an unexpected path to get to the room we find out that unfortunately the restaurant that night would not be opened and so we ventured into the country for dinner. We go home exhausted and go to bed, at 4.30 in the morning we wake up from prayer from the mosque which I think lasted a half an hour. In the morning the room was frozen and it was impossible to turn off the shutter, there was no water in the bathroom and the safe was locked on a continuous annoying condition.

Good but with room for improvement

Dear Trip Advisor.
After some years i returned to Flores Labuan Bajo Indonesia for holidays.
And again as we used to do some years ago we visited again Casa Selini. A small bed and breakfast in the middle of Labuan Bajo with clean elegant decorated rooms and a verycute little restaurant.
A wonderful place to have one of the best breakfasts on the the island,fresh and  tasty and a very pleasant hang out place to sit, relax, have a beer and talk with the always in inventive owner

An absolute must.

Home feel

We ordered here and the beer we got was terrible, we've had the local bintang loads of times and there was clearly something wrong with this one. The other drink was a mango juice which tasted like it was made from green and unripe mangos. The owner made a huge fuss about us returning the beer so considering that this is not a cheap place to eat we decided we didn't need to tolerate being treated like that and got up and left. Shocking customer service, eat somewhere else and don't be fooled by the nice decor

Didn't even wait for the food we had ordered

The guesthouse is located in a central and comfortable position but should only be considered as a place of passage, for one night, to leave the next day at the time of a mini-cruise. The room is essential: I can't say that there were no beds, air conditioning, wi-fi and spacious bathroom but, in short, it's just a roof over the head.

Place of transit

The only thing that is not awfull is the indonesian staff (european boss is not friendly at all). Be carefull people who wants to go there, even for 1 night it has to be avoided.
If at least it was clean...

Dirty, expensive and even not kind

Hotel Casa Selini is perfectly located for those who want to enjoy nature while being only minutes away from several shops and restaurants and the port of Labuan Bajo. Reviews have stated that the café in front of the hotel is perfect for mornings and evenings. The rooms are well-equipped and are decorated to give you a cozy feeling as if you were at home. The accommodation comes with a well-served breakfast and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They will make sure your experience will be unforgettable.

Hotel Casa Selini With The Perfect Location

Amazing place, wonderful rooms, contemporary style, clean and spacious, with huge balcomy and view to the bay. Nice food options, there is no restaurant in the hotel, but if you request they will order and bring you food. Great value for money!

Wonderful place on top of Labuan Bajo

Convenient in the centre of the village; considering that the village is made up of the same road overlooking this hotel. Two steps from the port from which you board for excursions to the various islands or dive points. Which is among other things the main reason why you go to this location, as it has no beaches or other attractions that are worth the trip. Acceptable if you have no claims other than having a roof over your head to sleep on, and a spray of water to shower on. Then a really basic structure.
