A 3 night stay at Kastuba after leaving a noisy, dirty hotel in Central Lembang.

We stayed in one of the family rooms (1 dbl, 1 sgl bed). Comfortable, clean and quiet! It was nice to wake up to the sounds of nature rather than to try and sleep against the deafening sound of motorbikes.

The grounds are lovely to walk around and very well-kept. 

Staff all friendly and helpful. We had breakfasts and evening meals brought to us so we could eat on the terrace in front of our room. 

Good value for money and very relaxing.

One criticism - the wifi was hopeless.

Relaxing stay

Really happy staying in this resort in this pandemic situation as they have limited cottage (only 24), so it will never be too crowded. The scenery is awesome, the fresh air is also amazing, and the room was clean as well. However, inside the room was smelled not good, maybe the management have to do something with this problem. I will surely go back to this resort with bigger family members. I recommend 3 and 4 bedrooms villa, as they offer more space and landscape to hang around.

Tranquilizing

This resort has quite a vast and isolated feel to it. Many of the chalets are on tall stilts because the resort is built in steep forest. In the evening, all that you can hear is the sound of a thousand crickets and sometimes a bird of the night. If you enjoy looking at nature - plants, birds and interesting invertebrates - this place is perfect. The staff are very friendly, and from the dining room balcony at the top of the resort you have a fantastic view of the valley with the city of Bandung in the far distance. Sometimes you will hear the beautiful sound of boys reciting in a masjid just beyond the resort. The resort has a very memorable mushola in a pine hut, with a small library. 

Whether you are walking to the dining room to eat, or walking to the mushola to pray, or just walking around the resort to look at nature, your walks will be peaceful and happy. All of the paths are very steep, so there are many steps through the tall pine trees.

A very tranquil place

Stayed here during a family gathering for one night. Since it is situated on the Lembang highland, visitors need to provide a sweater or jacket, mainly during te night and early morning. This resort offers a lot of facilities for gathering and a good atmospere for family and also for a romantic occasions. To those who neet to keep connected, the wifi available in almos every corners of the resort. One thing that concerned me most was the small and crampy bedroom. Should have been better.

Good imppression for my first stay

We stayed there on a recommendation. Based on city hotel prices this was expensive. The rooms are very cozy and basic. No face towels and service takes Long. The view from the room was very good. Nothing much to do in the resort and takes time to go out. Strictly fine for a day but beyond that I would give it a Moss. Veg breakfast was served in our room and they had no usual stuff like fruits and breads etc

Nice location in the mountain but expensive for the service

book for 3 rooms villa. really love this villa. all my familly enjoy this vila. clean, spacious,  b'fast ok, they have playground for kids. pretty old kampong style villa. to reach this resort it is better to rent a car or drive yourself. this is pretty beautiful and quite place very good for relax and healing time. will visit this place again someday.

Breakfast will be send to your room. Western and Indonesian breakfast can be choose. Taste wise was good.

Staff was very helpfull and friendly. Shuttle car is provided from car park to hotel.

Tips*
- Weather tends to get cold at night.
- Hot shower is not availabe after past 22:00.
- When you saw Kastuba sign. Thats where you park your car. A shuttle car will be provided to fetch you to the hotel
- WiFi is not working properly in this hotel



Great escapes hotel for couples

This is the 3rd time we stay at Kastuba.  I get why some people rate this very high, while some really dislike this place.  I think it depends on what you expect from the place.  If you expect modern luxury style accomodation with numerous resort facilities, you would be dissapointed. 

Staying at Kastuba is almost like a glamping experience, but you're staying in a wooden cabin instead of a tent.  We are a family of 4 staying in a 2 bedroom suite.  We love the tranquility, the fresh air, the sound of nature, the quietness.  The fireplace at night is charming as well.  A great escape from big city living.  But do expect that you would see bugs and other creatures around.  It's part of the charm.  

Bring your own amenities because the ones that they provide are very basic.  They only provide 1 bath towel per person, no hand towels.  Requesting extra towel would cost you 35,000 IDR per towel.  No hairdryer provided, so bring your own if you need it.  But wifi is free.

The breakfast is also very basic.  It's either Fried Rice or Omelette and Sausage.  So, if you're staying more than 2 nights, then you can't seek any more variety.  We bring our own snacks and cup noodles.

If it rains, which can occur quite often in Lembang, it would be difficult to get into and out of your cabin.  So, when it rains you won't feel like going anywhere, then your stash of snacks and noodles would come in handy.

It would be great if they can improve their food selection, including breakfast.

Nature and wooden house experience

A very pleasant place, although a little difficult to find his location. But all is paid by the beauty and coolness of the place
I chose a 2 bedroom villa, very unique because villa is almost dominated by wood materials.
Friendly staff, standard breakfast.
The less of this place is cleanliness, but that is not a problem.
