We arrived in luwuk waiting a flight to makassar. No advance booking, offer in the city is low. We stayed 2 nights there randomly. We asked to change the first proposed room with strong smoking smell, lots of ants due to bin not emptied, shiwer leaks... The second room didn't smell but for the price of 300,000 rph/night, you'll have non english speaking staff, unglued wallpaper, poor wifi, bugs (we used our own mosquito net), no windows... Breakfast is served until 9 but at 8 there is already no more bread !!! We are travelling on a shoestring for 8 months. It's the worst price/quality ratio we have seen ever the last 6 months. Try something else, whatever it is...

Worst quality/price ratio ever seen

Place is untended. Spring bed is fine and fairly clean however in shower fungi everywhere and plaster from the walls is coming off. The cleaner didn't notice that one of the drawers has been used as ash tray. Couple of dead bugs around. Ac worked fine, but window couldn't close properly. Worst thing were couple of Chinese guys making loud noises all night, not the hotels fault but maybe could have asked them to quiet down. Smoking area is the corridor so it penetrates through the doors.
All is sort of acceptable but for Indonesian standards not cheap. There are more hotels to stay in luwuk, where you can just show up. 

Shabby

I just stayed there for searching another budget hotel in Luwuk. I booked for pick-up shuttle at airport, but nobody there so I must used rent car to take me there. First impression when I arrived was very ordinary lobby, but its receptionist & room boy was very customer-oriented service. I took standard room. Despite of its pealed wallpapper & old bathroom interior, it gave me comfort to get a good sleep. I didn't try its breakfast, but surely they gave local cuisine. It was really 2-star budget hotel, but it needed more improvement. Hopefully they can provide shuttle for airport pick-up, then can renovate each room for better interior view & they can provide in-house room service.
Good prospect hotel to become alternate choice beside other famous hotel such as Estrella & Istana.
