Location: good, in the city center. 
Price: affordable. 
Room: it is small, you get what you paid for. Bed was too narrow for 4 of us (parent with 2 Kids). 
bathroom: not too small, but the cleaning staff need to work harder.
Breakfast: food variation was good for a budget hotel. 
Facilities: They have pool for Kids, adequate car parking lot. 
We stayed here only for took a rest after visited jatim park 3 at Day-1 and transportation museum on the next Day. We did not expect more. 

Good budget hotel

Amaris very recommended for stay at Malang Kota, I stay for 3 day at room no. 111 start NOV 25, actually i just booking for 1 night and plan to find another hotel next day but when I come to room is clean and confort, staf well attitude, good service and competitive price, we continue stay till next trip to another city in Java.

Nice hotel for stay

Stayed a night here. If you can afford something better, please book something else. Room is fairly clean but super small. Bed isn't the most comfortable but good enough for a night's rest. AC was cold but noisy. The blower is probably edging close to the end of its service life. The walls are pretty thin and since the hotel is by the main road, you can hear those hellriders zooming down the streets in the middle of the night so light sleepers beware.

I would describe the toilet as unpleasant to be really kind. It is small and maintenance is poor. Floor and wall tiles have stains as with the toilet bowl. Shower stall is so small that you have to be a Hobbit to use it comfortably.

The 2 positives are the breakfast is ok considering that this is a budget hotel and parking lots are sufficient. 

Ultimately, I would only recommend this place if you are on a shoe string budget or using it on an hourly basis.

Cheap but bad

Location : Good. Easy to find. Good air circulation

Parking : Small but somehow easy to park. I came at weekday, idk how weekend park worked.

Security : Nice but not helping. I need to walk out the car and cross the street but 3 security available only at basement

Lobby : Small, informative officer

Room : Enough to stay 1 night, comfy bed, need-to-expert-maintenance bathroom, amenities standard for budget hotel, air conditioner doing good. If you need fresh air, feel free to open the windows.

Breakfast : Surprisingly ok. Indoor and outdoor, 2nd floor. Also Amaris had pool. Impressive isn't it?

Surprisingly OK

Location is very convenient if you need to be in the city center. Public transportation is easily accessible, just outside the hotel. Rooms are compact but quite comfortable with ensuite shower. During my stay, the breakfast was quite satisfactory. Hotel staff members were smiley and helpful.

Affordable. Great for short stay in Malang.

This Amaris hotel is relatively cheap and located in central Malang city.  But the rooms are very small, bed is not comfortable & creating squeaky sound.  Bathroom is also very small, and water pressure is poor.  You can also hear the sounds from next room pretty loudly. 
So unless you are really tight in budget, this hotel may not be a good option. 
Breakfast selections are average, services are decent enough. 



Affordable hotel but not comfortable 

Great location, quite complete breakfast for budget hotel. Small room but still convenient. Bathroom floor looks quite ugly bcos yellowish edge. Parking area is quite small, but the staff is helpful, like helping us with vallet. Smoking room is in the center area of hotel. I dont understand why they place the smoking room at that place n make us could smell d smoke when we walk to our room. This hotel in under 1 management with santika hotel, also very near to santika if u have meeting at santika hotel malang.

Average with great location

After visiting Bromi,  i and friend decided to take rest in Malang before flying back to Jakarta. 

We choose Amaris because it's affordable,  the price was good.  IDR 387k/night/room.

Room was not so spacious but good in term of price.  You need to call receptionist for tootbrush, comb,  cotton bud.  They are free. 

I had a good sleep here.

Breakfast are quite good with some options of food at 1st floor.

Affordable and comfortable for i night

This hotel is a good example of a 2-star hotel that is tolerable, affordable and comfortable.

The twin bed room, although somewhat small, is enough to fit the intended amount of people. The hotel provides complementary items such as bottled water and soap. A water dispenser can be found in the hallway. The room has a window and an AC that functions well. The TV is a bit small though. The cleanliness is one of the room's biggest positives.

Hotel Amaris is highly reccomended for people who prefer focusing their travel money on what they want to do during their trip but want a decent hotel to stay in.

Affordable and Comfortable

We spent one night in Amaris and were satisfied. The staff was very friendly, as so far in almost all of Indonesia. Our room was small but fine and relatively clean for Indonesian conditions. The good breakfast buffet was served in the bright and friendly restaurant. All in all, the price-performance ratio was right and we would recommend this budget hotel further.
