Good location on the beach right in front of the water, beautiful view and simple cottages with private bathroom.
Bring your own mosquito repellent and also recommended the mosquito spiral cause yes there is a lot of insects of all kinds. I got bitten by i dont know what kind of animal in the night in the bed under the mosquito net ( not bedbugs ) and still have those bites in my armpit.
So if you are scared of crawlies- this is not your place.
If he would cut down some trees and let moore sun in - the problem would be less.
Very very nice and friendly owner family, helpful and good solid people.
We slept with all doors and windows open every night so safe as well.
The best is of course the food, the chef puts all his love and care into the wonderful dishes.
Even the aestethics of the dishes is 5 star.

Lovely place and people! They had puppys which were amazingly cute...
Nice Bungalow right on the beach for little money, food very tasty but took a while which was not a problem as you could just order for a specific time the day before or in the morning! 
Helped organising a very nice snorkeling tour to some islands by local fishing boat (only 7 € pp for a group of 6). 
Room was good and bathroom big but everything not 100% clean, could be better next time. Also the road is close so you hear the cars but not to bad... we would come back for sure!

Lovely place and people!

We had a really relaxed stay at Sunset cottages. While it is pretty basic, that suited us just fine. The family made us feel very welcome - arranging a snorkelling trip out to the islands and scooter hire. The house reef is okay for a snorkel - but not great. We enjoyed walks on the beach, sunsets and watching the world go by.

Relaxed atmosphere 

We did not actually stay here but stumbled upon the place when we were looking for a nice lunch spot during a scooter trip from Maumere. We experienced a warm welcome from the family owning the bungalows and the Australian lady supporting them. The food was amazing and we were offered to stay the afternoon to relax and snorkel from the beach. We were shown the bungalows which are basic but clean, nice, and functional, and the location is amazing. We wish we had stayed here.

Don't stay here it is dirty the owner tried to change the price we had agreed with a driver to take us ocross Flore worst place in 7 weeks in Indonesia we only stayed 2 nights the reviews given are false 

What a dirty place

The staff is very friendly and helpful.
The snorkeling tour is very recommendable.
The guest house is with basic comfort but clean and the ambient is very nice and peaceful.

Despite of the great effort from the staff to clean it every day, a lot of rubbish coming from the sea invades the beach every day at the end of the afternoon.

Noting that this accom is 28km from the airport and the town of Maumere, it was a very quiet stay with lovely staff of 2 families.    
Basic bamboo huts on the water.  We went on a great snorkeling trip organised by our hosts with the boat picking us up in front of our hut. Wifi weak. 
Best of all was the food. Great curry and the presentation WOW

Best food in Flores

The slightly dated cottages (bungalows) provide just enough comfort if you don't expect or need much. There's no sink or wifi, but the sea is right there and the coconuts come straight from the tree if you order one. Staff is wonderful and the curry fish and eggplant curry are highly recommended! Please be aware that there is only electricity at night, like in all places along the coast by Maumere.

Right on the beach

Nice simple cottages just few steps from the sea. There are only few of them, so it does not feel crowded at all. Mosquito net is provided, the only downside is that there is no furniture, so it was a bit challenge to live out of a travel bag.
The owner Hendrik is happy to organize airport  transport, snorkeling tours even a transport to Gunung Egon.
The meals we had there were one of the best in Flores, all made fresh from the scratch.
