This is an amazing hotel to stay at awesome staff and quite relaxing of a night close to everything in Kuta on poppies 1 breakfast buffet is good and the bar out front is very good and they are very nice but awesome rooms will stay here again

Holidays

Was there for 4 days 3 nights. Recep was warmth and friendly and upon ushered to our room, room was small with walls scraped off on some paint with Dubai as the wallpaper instead of Palembang(??)
 Wi-fi wasn't working well at all so we mostly used up our data and shower floor was slippery as flooring was uneven resulting water to puddles up as where our mirror was. We kept reminding each other how slippery the floor was each time anyone of us heads to the loo. Water flow was ok except on my 2nd day ,there was literally on drips on the shower. Lucky I had already wash of my make up and I was like 'sticking' to the bathroom wall trying to wash off the soap on my body!! 

Aircon was ok though it took a while for the room to be cool.
We were at the first room opposite the lift therefore people talking and noise are so heard to our room and very clear as well which can be a pain in the wee morning.

The best thing about this hotel is, it is near malls and there is this stunning restaurant at level 5 ( Equadore) of this hotel where hotel guests will enjoy a discount upon dining there. The breakfast are served at Barong cafe, a door a way to this hotel where breakfast are served with local spread. The Barong cafe are design in a Pranakans touches with interesting wall ornaments and photos frames.

Good thing that we like about this hotel is each day they would ask for our room card to do an update on a day to day basis so to allow is to enter into our room as also a security measures.

On Palembang for 10 days business trip. Here is a review on Barong Hotel, Palembang:

Location
The best part of this hotel, the location's great, only 10 steps from PEx mall, one of the biggest shopping center in Palembang. Location is safe, surrounded by many restaurants and café. However, it 's a bid crowded

Room
Exceptionally small, my room in 4th floor only contained a small bed. No workstation and anything else. Bathroom was quiet clean but very small

Facility
You get free breakfast. The breakfast was average, with fried rice and bread. There's lift to go to the 3rd or 4th floor

Verdict
Great for short trip in Palembang and if budget is very much your concern. Consider Aryaduta hotel nearby if you have some money to spare :)

Barong Hotel : The Review

There's no lift, and we stay at 4th floor. The hotel too small and messy, and the room didn't comfort us. There's no hot water, not recommended at all. But the good news, it located in one area with PS mall

Not recommended

This hotel so good in location, a one location with palembang square mall and right in front of Siloam Hospital. The management has 2 other business, with 2 restaurant. One is an airline restaurant with set up like an airlines seat. Place is right of the hotel. Second restaurant named Barong Cafe which all guest will taken a breakfast there. Set up with classic old vintage and the menu is so good for having lunch or dinner. The rooms is tight and simple but clean enough. At that time the hotel are still in the renovations and a bit noisy for a day. Hope now already finish. I think this hotel as a good hotel for stay in Palembang.
