We stayed here with two families - 9 people all up. The facilities were ok - the local lady was helpful. The local host was difficult but helpful. Some of the air conditioners didn’t work, some of the rooms didn’t have hot water and the cleanliness of the place wasn’t great. After this we were asked to move two nights early for a family wedding. Do yourself a favour and go down the road to the Gong Guesthouse which was fabulous and friendly.  

Wouldn’t reccomend

The location and the accomodation is perfect. As Uluwatu expands it’s nice to be able to find a nice quiet corner that is still close to the hustle and bustle. We stayed in one of the budget rooms and could find no fault. Renting a motorbike was made easy, airport transfers are easy, there’s minimarts and restaurant 30m away, the common areas are beautiful, and the staff are friendly. 

Perfect 

Only stayed for two nights at Bobby’s but it was perfect. Comfortable, cheap and a good location. Staff are very helpful if you need anything and there is a shop and a few restaurants less than 50m’s away for your convenience.

Everything you need

We booked a room for our last two days . It was a nightmare. First of all , we didn’t have hot water as it was described in Airbnb. When we told the host’s wife she told us that only two out of six or seven rooms had hot water..she was really rude and unwilling to help . Not only she didn’t apologize but she was talking in bad manners and kept telling us that it was Airbnb’s problem and that we should complain to them . Also,before we went to sleep we discovered that the bedsheet was really dirty and again not only they didn’t apologize but the host’s wife came to me and just knocked the door and gave me a new bedsheet not willing to come in and take care of the dirty one . We couldn’t communicate at all and we also couldn’t find them on the phone . Thank god Airbnb refunded us for this unacceptable situation. DONT GO THERE.

Arrived here and had no clue where to go. After some minutes a lady came who was clearly annoyed by we interupting her with something. She didnt greet us or anything. No nothing. She gave us keys and pointed to the room. We went in and realized this was clearly the wrong room. Had to look really hard to find this lady again and she wasn’t that eager to help. She had that typical ”What do you want now”-face. Got to talk to the manager and he asked if we could stay in that room instead of the luxury one we had booked. Well, what the hell are our options? 

Later we tried to ask that lady for some tips regarding the area but she just looked on her phone and ignored us and waved us off. 

The shower couldn’t deliver warm water, and the AC wasn’t working the first hours.

The rooms are fine and all, but the personell and the service are disgustingly bad. 

Avoid this place

Home Stay ideally located pleasant and friendly with a swimming pool, supermarket and restaurant (breakfast, lunch and dinner open early and very late in the evening) nearby. Super kind and welcoming family. The beach is not far away

Good quality price ratio

So I already wrote negative review for booking.com,where I also sent official complaint letter. I booked this hotel two weeks in advance from Jogjakarta-where I used to work in 2014-2015. I was no rookie in booking  the hotel business. My flight was delayed from Java but on my way to airport in Jogjakarta I sent an email to Bobby,where I explained the current situation- Raung volcano went off those days so many flights were cancelled or diverted. He did not reply and when we touched down in Denpasar I called him on provided number. He did not pick up. When I arrived to the hotel there was not a foot in the house. So we decided to sleep near the pool and wait till morning comes. In the morning Bobby's wife appeared.... and gave us a cold shoulder rather than apology. She wasn't able to communicate with us in polite manner.She insisted that we had booked just one room instead of two. Well our room number two was already taken and the number one- there was no number one... So clearly they were overbooked.Staff absolutely not helpful and arrogant. Huge disappointment. Also I am not a person who likes to complain but when I got her arrogance without reason and Bobby was hiding with his tail between legs all day long in the garage, it reached my level of acceptance.I wont recommend such place even to my biggest enemy. It is huge disgrace to Balinese even Indonesian hospitality. I used to stay, live and work in this country for two years but I never experience such arrogance. Plus other fellow travelers shared the same experience as me.

Have stayed at Bobby's many times in the past. The addition of the 2 new rooms and swimming pool have made a massive difference especially as the bridge to Pecatu and Padang-Padang was still out when we were there.

Big improvement

The rooms are veryyyyy well decorated. We stayed in the family room and it had a lot of space. Bathroom was ok not very clean and we did not had hot water. The last day we ask the staff for the hot water they suposily had on their booking page and next day we did not had water at all! The staff was never around and the ones we could find didnt speak any english. No breakfast available but their are some places around to get some. Its very near of uluwatu temple and beaches.
