Green Leaf Inn is centrally located, and there are places to eat everywhere. They have a decent breakfast, and the rooms are quiet. The staff is friendly, and speak English. Pontianak seems safe to explore, including the dock area, which is a little bit away. There is a large market about a half a kilometer away. This hotel is a good value for the money.

Nice Place, With A Basic Room

Green Leaf in is a small hotel with a strategic location in Pontianak. There is plenty of streetfood around and a KFC and an Indomaret as well as fruitstalls in walking distance. The hotel is very clean, albeit lacking charme and my room (cheapest category) was rather tiny and did not have a window and no sink in the bathroom. Breakfast is included and consits of tea, toast and jam and one dish of fried rice or noodles (menu changes every day) per person. The staff was friendly, but the laundry is a bit expensive and was not ready in the pronised timeframe. 
All in all a good place for transit or as a base to explore Pontianak, with the usual small Indonesian quirks. ;)

Clean, basic, strategic location

We were here twice. In general a great place to spend the night in Pontianak, if you want to save on cash. Good value for money, budget rooms lack a sink and bed is a bit tight but you get what you pay for! The rooms are clean though - rare at this price! Breakfast was good, staff friendly, wifi connection in the rooms was great. Cheapish laundry service. 

If I HAD to come back to Pontianak, I would sleep here again!

Good value!

Stayed in a standard room (which is a single room with larger bed). The first impression was okay. Small but clean room. But then the bathroom is about same size as public toilet cubical, very little space to move around when bathing. The noise from the road, receptionist and corridor can be heard from inside and nearer to the front door the louder it is. No recommendation for the breakfast as well, even as a last resort. 

The only plus is that this hotel is in the centre of Pontianak's culinary avenue, Jalan Gajah Mada. Along the road and nearby streets there are lots of option, from Pontianak's street food to fast food and cafes (warung kopi). Mini market and supermarket are within walking distance.

Okay With More Minus than Plus

Stayed for 2 nights, arriving late in the evening via bus from Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysian Borneo. About 20 minutes by taxi from Ambawang International Bus Terminal. Check in was smooth, with IDR 250'000 deposit and my room cost about IDR 150'000 per night for a standard room. A bottle of drinking water, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste & towel was provided. A paid, small basket containing tidbits and drinks was also provided. Bathroom was small even for a small Asian guy like me and no hot water available. In the meantime, the location was great, right in the busy section of the city, with plenty of shops & eateries around, some even open until late at night.
