This is my first experience staying in Borneo Hotel. The brekfast was good, but the room cleanness must be the concern. The bathroom floor was slipery and there was some water puddle. The wifi was really bad too.

We spent 5 nights at Hotel Borneo Pontianak while visiting family. This Hotel was awesome!
All staff were friendly and helpful, clean room, nice breakfast, good price! Definitely would recommend it! Close to all amenities.

Nice Hotel in the heart of pontianak city

This hotel offer a simple bright modern style on their building and interior. Quite interesting to see actually. Their rooftop restaurant is also offer nice sunset and city light view. Their room is well decorated, but the size is a little too compact for me. The wall is thin literally, you can easily hear noise or sound from the alley and next room. Their staff hospitality is unfortunately, not showing their best. No smile, no greeting, either in the parking lot, reception area, during breakfast, or room service staff we met in the alley and lift.

Interesting decor but hospitality need improvement

Name if the hotel is very easy to remember. I found it from the travel portal o  Singkawang or 3 hours from the hotel. I booked at 9 pm for late coming. It is easy to find the hotel on pontianak. I guess it was on central.

I came late abiut 1 am..There are the security officers who come to take the luggages. The processs is not more than 3 minutes then i got the room key.

The room is clean, big and comfortable with the rational price.

A nice hotel on pontianak, west borneo

The check in process was ok, my room was prebooked by a colleague from my office.

I stayed for 2 nights in this hotel. As soon as I stepped out of the elevator on the 4th floor, terrible smell of cigarette smoke welcome me. I immediately tell the hotel that I don't want to stay in a smoking part of the hotel but they said that all the standard rooms are in smoking area. I insisted that I wanted to move to other area, that is not as smelly as this part. But they said that I should take a look at the room first. Ok, I agreed and do as suggested. Gladly, I checked out the room and it's fine, even smelled fresh from the clean bed sheets and maybe they have just sprayed some air freshner. So I decided to stay. But 10 minutes later, the terrible cigarette smell returned, and it was so strong that I was almost choked, some one with respiratory condition should never stay in this hotel's standard rooms. I called the operator to book a different room for the next day, and that I will move in the morning, they said ok.
So I moved to another room on the 2nd floor, non smoking area. The corridor smelled fine, no sign of cigarette smell. 
Aahh.. finally, maybe I can sleep better this night. My 2nd room was smaller then the first, with 1 single bed (120x200), 1 pillow, 1 bottle of mineral water, 1 slipper.
Even so, I'm happy enough that the room was not smelly. But wait for 10 minutes, and the room smelled exactly like my 1st one.
I thought it was temporary, maybe someone passed by my door while smoking, but even until morning comes it did not get better.

The quality of the bed was poor, the pillow was thin, the bathroom mat seemed like it had been there years.

They have alot of homework ahead of them.
