Nice and friendly staff. Fast check in and out for the room. Easy communication with staff via whatsapp. Pretty decent room with a nice pool, comfortable bed and clean bathroom. Friendly and helpful driver- Wisra, recommended us to a lot of places and helped us to planned our activity timings nicely. 

However, there can be more improvements to it. Example, there are a few stains on the bed's mosquito net, pullings on the pillow casing. 

Overall, our stay was still a pleasant one. 

Pleasant Stay At Kamuela Villa

I was in Bintan with Son last week and we felt very pleased with our experience at Kamuela. Different from other resort hotels, Kamuela offers both privacy and convenience since you have your own villa with swimming pool and Plaza Lagoi at your doorstep (despite most of the shops are still closed after Covid, there are two minimarts and two restaurants open). The restaurant Warung Yeah at beach front serves amazing food and drink at friendly prices and the Yeah Mart next door provides all the essentials. 

The hotel staff added us on WhatsApp from the moment we confirmed our booking and the same WhatsApp were used after check-in for all hotel services, including ordering breakfast and signing up activities. A special mention goes to our driver Wisra for being super helpful. Wisra arranged many great activities like snorkelling near White Sand Island, jet skiing and mangrove firefly tour that my son wanted to go back again as soon as our trip was over! We look forward to our next stay at Kamuela.

Our family enjoyed the stay in the villa. It was a rejuvenating experience for us. There’s a private pool in between our rooms with a nice calming view. Massage is also good. You can also communicate with the villa staff via Whatsapp, which is creative and convenient.

On the flip side, there are limited but good local food options in the nearby vicinity due to lack of footfall. The nearby shopping mall is completely empty but surprisingly still well maintained and operated. The street hawkers only operate on weekends. If you’re into buying kuei lapis cake, you can get the famous mama b from the nearby convenience store. 

Rejuvenating experience

Due to a typhoon, our flight got canceled, turning our planned two-night stay into just one, and to make matters worse, it was pouring rain. We couldn't enjoy the beach or pool as we had hoped. However, our room was incredibly spacious and clean, providing a comfortable retreat from the rain. We could order room service and such via WhatsApp, but it was a bit tricky to tell if our orders went through, as there wasn't always a clear response.

During check-out, the heavy rain continued, and we had to carry our luggage through the downpour along an outside path without any assistance, which was a bit disappointing. On a brighter note, the breakfast was absolutely delicious! We'd love to return for a longer stay next time.

A special shoutout to Mr. Wisra, who provided us with transportation to the ferry terminal. He was incredibly kind and, seeing that we couldn't go to the beach due to the rain, he suggested and took us on firefly and Blue Lake tours. Without him, our Bintan Island trip would have been quite a different experience. Thank you so much!

A Special Bintan Island Experience in the Rain

The resort is just 5mins away from lagoi beach which is very peaceful. Convenience store and afew restaurants are all within 5mins walk. 

Very nice place very relaxing. Recommend for couple, a very private vila with open bathroom linking to the private pool. One downside is that the sun does not shine 100% on the pool thus it’s not very easy for sun tanning. 

Breakfast are served to our vila in the morning. We also tried their massage which was great, massage was done in our vila as well! Basically you don’t even have to leave your Vila! We barely leave our Vila and just chilled there. 

All the communication are via WhatsApp. Which can be a con as I didn’t buy oversea data for the trip. We pressed the button for room service before leaving to grab dinner but we’re shocked to see the house keeper standing outside our Vila. They mentioned that they were not allowed to enter without our consent (confirmation via WhatsApp) which I did not receive as I did not have oversea data. We ended our trip with no housekeeping at all. 

Overall highly recommend this place if you are looking for somewhere to relax.

Kamuela offers tranquil stay with private pool , nice and practical layout with lots of greeneries in the premises . Staffs are very friendly and accommodating. The Villa has nice setting with excellent location . Walkable to the beach , water sports, sea food restaurant and mini mart. Highly recommend to others fr a short getaway.

Beautiful Villa with private pool

We came here for our first wedding anniversary and it exceeded every bit of our expectations. Everyone here is so friendly and accomodating. The Villa itself is clean and huge. Above all, we were greeted by the driver who fetch us, Pak Kanis who were with us throughout our trip. He is so friendly and acceded to all our requests. He even gave us good recommendations. We cant thank him enough. Thank u Bintan, Thank u Kamuela Villas and of course thank u Pak Kanis!

I am so happy with my 3d2n stays in the resort. It started and ended well. All the staff were helpful and friendly. The resort is clean and SUPER PRETTY! It’s really instagrammable! I like how efficient the resort is by just communicating with their staff via whatsapp and their reply was fast and I really appreciate it! 

Next, I would like to express my gratitude to our driver, Mr Kanis for the ever good service. He brought us to all the amazing place especially when it comes to FOOD! He was such a soft spoken, polite and patient driver. Oh he was humorous too. He has a good knowledge of Bintan and Tanjung Pinang. My husband and I really feel safe around him. Dear Mr Kanis, we appreciate your professionalism and we will definitely come back for u again, insyallah! Thank u Mr Kanis.

Amazing resort and driver!

Amazing trip, first time in bintan but everyone was so accommodating, my kids love Om Bonsri as he is super friendly and such a nice and wholesome man he make us feel so welcome and treat us as family, the resort is amazing the villa itself is good for kids as there is a swimming pool, the staff are super friendly and easy communication through WhatsApp, The massager name Tante Putri has amazing grip strength and I'm a heavy gym lifter but she got rid of my muscle tension easily I even believe her grip strength is way stronger than mine haha thank you all so much especially Pak James bond! 😊

Amazing and wholesome stay

Kamuela village is the best place for family trip..the room was so comfortable,and have private pool..this is the best place ever to visit,also the food is very delicious.at last but not least,the service is very good.
