The villa is located on a quiet road, about 10 minutes’ walk to Jalan Laksamana / Oberoi. At night the road heading back to the villa can be pretty quiet and dark. It has three reasonably sized bedrooms and each of the bedrooms has an attached bathroom. Even though the villa is on the smaller side overall and it is tired-looking, it has all the basic amenities / facilities, e.g. towels, safe box, kettle, refrigerator, iron (but without an ironing board), a handphone with a local number for the guests to use during the stay, WIFI, a private pool and a satellite TV. The security guards who were there everyday were all very friendly. Our main complaint is that the villa should be cleaned more thoroughly. Also, the shower drain in one of the bathrooms was clogged – so the bathroom kind of flooded everytime we showered. We do not think we will stay there again but would recommend this villa to someone with a budget (we paid about AUD840 for 4 nights stay – we consider this to be relatively cheap for a villa in Seminyak area).

Okay villa

Wife and I currently on day 3 of an 11 day stay at Villa Heliconia - a 2-bedroom villa tucked just behind Ultimo near Seminyak Square.

As veterans of multiple Bali excursions we can comment favourably on these Villas - location is close to multiple attractions so that's a big plus. The villas themselves are well appointed with a decent sized pool and attractive garden surrounds. Sun-lovers will be pleased in that the major bane of most villas here (no or little sun) is handled well at Villa Teman. Enjoying an E-W aspect means morning rays hit the pool area approximately 7-8am and you have full sun until at least 4-5pm. The rooms are large with plenty of shelf space in the wet areas (another way that villa builders/owners skimp). Wifi is intermittent but proximity to venues that attend to this is abundant. Room service and cleanliness has been top notch thus far.

So far we can highly recommend these and have already booked a return trip in June.

Superb location, exc. amenities

When we were first arriving we thought, wow, where are we? The location seemed abit remote but turned out to be quite good. A short walk to jalan oberoi, with some small shops and a laundry opposite. The villa was very private and generally well appointed. There were a few negatives to the villa but they did not affect our overall enjoyment. Would stay here again.

Good Villa, nice and private, bit out of the way

I returned here for the second time with a couple of friends, having stayed previously for New Year in 2012.  Once again, I was extremely pleased with the villa.  Agung, the manager of the villa, greeted us on arrival and provided us with all the information that we needed to know about the villa (such as when the cleaner would come, laundry services etc).  He also provided us with a local mobile phone so that we were able to contact him at any time during our stay.  He is an extremely knowledgeable and friendly gentleman and an absolute professional!  The villa has a "security" guard who sleeps outside the villa (in the carport) overnight, so you feel perfectly safe.  The villa is neat and tidy with 3 spacious rooms with king size beds and massive ensuite bathrooms.  Each room has a TV and DVD player in them, which is handy when you are retreating from the heat and humidity and want to relax in the airconditioning.  The rooms are decorated in a very minimalistic fashion but the beds are extremely comfy.  It is located approximately 5 minutes walk from the main restaurant strip in Seminyak and taxis regularly drive past, so there is no problem getting about anywhere.  Overall Villa Teman is fantastic value for money.  Highly recommended!

Neat, tidy, good location and excellent value

Great 3 bedroom villa tucked away in a lane behind the main eating area in Seminyak - about 5-10 minute walk to main road which was quite safe but a little dark at night (buy a torch and you will be fine). Rooms are very spacious with minimalist decoration, bathrooms also roomy. Living area is a little cramped - only noticed as it was rainy while we were there and 5 of us had to take cover in the smallish area. But in fine weather, there is room around the pool to sit. The pool is just the right size and was cleaned while we were there. Lovely cleaning lady who came every day and also took our washing and only charged pittance to do. Villa manager welcomes you on arrival and gives all info you will need, including driver and spa services - at reasonable cost. Also provided local mobile phone so you can get hold of him anytime.  Security camped out the front over night so felt completely safe. Not suitable for young kids - not sure if they can fence the pool but older kids would be fine. Will def consider staying again if travelling with family or another couple.
