From the moment my husband and I arrived at this hotel we were charmed. It was very peaceful as is far away from the main tourist areas, has beautiful valley and mountain views and was run by attentive and charming staff. The manager kindly upgraded our room, at no extra cost, to a larger one which better accomodated my husband as he is of a larger build. This room had a lovely balcony and spectacular view into the valley so we were very happy. The traditional hotel architecture and decor were complemented by beautiful, well maintained grounds and attractive pool. But it was the charming and helpful staff who made our stay memorable. Due to being in a quieter area (so no other restaurants nearby) we ate all our meals at the hotel. They were well-priced and delicious. For exploring the surrounding area we hired a car and driver. There were waterfalls nearby popular with visitors but we chose not to visit due to there being a number of steps to negotiate. Instead we went futher afield and found places of beauty and interest. We thank the drivers we hired for these excursions and to transport us to and from the hotel for their excellent driving and pleasant company. I highly recommend this hotel for it's peaceful location and wonderful staff. You can either use it as a quiet getaway or as a base to explore the northern mountains and coast.
