linow is nice place with nice weather (is not hot and is not too cool too). beautiful nature and lake.good food and snack, with friendship price for our pocket. the room is very-very nature and save for our children.

Hello, the accommodation was top class. - Very friendly - Always ready for sightseeing and excursions - great lake canoeing - clean, very well equipped rooms (with climate) But most of all I thank the great people who work there.

It's a great place.

Stayed here for one night. The entrance ramp was very steep, be prepared to experience a roller coaster-like experience when entering the resort premises.

But boy, the picturesque scene in front of us was very stunning! Never seen anything like it before. You can spend two hours looking at and exploring the surroundings. It was amazing.

The cottage we get was the one for four persons. Interior was all wooden-walled and pretty standard. Be careful about the insects, though, as it is surrounded by forests. We had a water supply problem for about an hour, before the staff quickly fixed this.

Breakfast was plentiful and tasted good! There was so much food that we could have packed some for lunch (kidding).

We heard that they will add more cottages in the future. Looking forward to seeing the improvements!

Great view, okay room

Good place for a night. Food was ok, but very limited variability. The lake changes colours throughout the day. Staff english knowledge is very limited and makes the stay difficult. No possibility of renting motorbikes/communicating and thus hard to get around or away. Aside from paddling to the other side of the lake (Boat is included in the stay) nothing to do here. Dont stay too long.

Nice room, nice views

The green lake is small but really oh. I really enjoyed the four nights. The rooms have a great view of the green lake. The terrace has comfortable chairs and a table. You can really relax comfortably. The view of the lake is barrier-free. The lake, by the way, adapts its colors to the weather and the sulfur content. So it is actually green at least once a day. You can eat very well in the green lake. The kitchen is original Indonesian and is cooked daily fresh and creatively. The rooms are simple but have everything you need. The cupboard, table, electricity, hot/cold water, western bathroom and a comfortable bed. The outdoors are super calm. The green lake can be used to make a coffee or go fishing in the lake with a whiskey whiskey whiskey whiskey whiskey whiskey whiskey whiskey whiskey whiskey whiskey is really helpful because the lake is very shallow.

Wonderful location and super nice staff

I've visited Linow Lake on August 2016 while doing my job. I love this place very much.

Linow lake is located in Lahendong, You can get there by taxi or rent personal car from tomohon or manado city, because there's no public transportation routed here.

Ticket price is Rp.25k for one person, then you get a free coffee or tea by changing your ticket to the restaurant. Enjoy your tea or coffee at the lake side while watching the birds. Also you can try local food such as "Pisang Goroho + sambal" its also served at the restaurant, you can pay quite cheap for them.

For attention, you don't allowed to swim or make any activity in the water, because sulfur contained is quite high and lake depth is unknown.

Tenang & Nyaman

The sea and the surroundings are pretty normal and quiet. We were unlucky because an overpressure valve in the geothermal plant was obviously defective. Sound was exactly like at the airport and that was two out of three days later, think a little better but whoever that valve is repaired what in Indonesia but can take the place is recommended. Food was quite OK without really being good. The excursions we made with the guide were well maybe too expensive for Indonesia.

Actually nice but very noisy by fault in the geothermal plant

We wanted to stay close to Tomohon and knew it would be a little less hot in this area due to the volcanoes. Better yet, we needed a thin blanket at night, great!
But we also wanted to avoid bussy and noisy cities.
Greenlake Retreat turned out to be a very good choice, great staff, good food and you can tell this place is run by an European just by looking at the huts.
If you end up spending some time here, ask for Donald to drive you around the area. He can show you some really interesting (thermal activity related) sights and speaks good English.

Nice to be in a cooler surrounding for a couple of days

We were six at the resort and absolutely enjoyed the tranquility. Beautifully situated and very well equipped bungalows with warm water (!) and water pressure. Although we didn't really lack it, we did enjoy this luxury. Very nice terraces with water dispenser, everything available! Ideal starting point for our explorations of the highlands (volcanic hike, Tomohon Lake, market in Tomohon,...).
