We've been to this resort once before in 2016, we liked it, and in 2017 we stayed with our children and grandmother for four weeks. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and the food is good. The pool is great for swimming, from hip depth to about 2.20 meters, I would say. The resort is not right on the beach, but on the street, but you don't get much out of it. At night it's quiet. Right next door is an indoor market, the cheapest supermarket in Tulambe. Very practical. We would definitely come back.

Nice four weeks.

Recently we went to Tulamben, Bali to snorkel the USS Liberty.  On the night we arrived, we were roused from sleep at the Tulamben Dive Resort and told to leave, and  that the hotel was closing because Mt. Agung had become very dangerous.  The hotel manager gave us no assistance in finding transport from Tulamben, and essentially left us stranded, locked out of our (paid for) hotel room.  We stood helplessly in front of the empty hotel, watching the townspeople evacuating in a steady stream.  Then the manager of a nearby resort, Dive Concepts, pulled up on a scooter,  organized transportation for us along with his own hotel guests, and in the next town fixed us up with beds at a local hostel.  Although the Tulamben is a lovely hotel, the manager is irresponsible and uncaring about the safety of his guests.


Terrible Experience

I can't say enough good things about this place. We stayed three nights looking for peace and quiet and we definitely got that! The price is ridiculously good for the experience. We left feeling refreshed and spoiled. 

Rooms: Big, clean, attractive, modern, plenty of space. The beds in the twin rooms are big enough for two so there was enough space in the room to fit two adult and a child comfortably. Flowers from the garden left in the room on arrival. Great AC. Fridge. Storage space. 

Grounds: Whoever is taking care of the grounds should be commended - the gardens are beautiful. The pool is fantastic with a good shallow end for kids. 

Staff: So, so helpful, polite and kind. So friendly, always smiling!

Food: Lovely breakfast every morning set us up for the day. 

We will come back here next time we are in Bali, without a doubt. Even if you're not here to dive, it makes for a fantastic, peaceful, luxurious mini break from the chaos of Bali.

Stunning place

This place is next to the ocean and has two pools! no beach though but you can snorkel and dive.  In fact it is one of th eclosest and most convienient places to dive the wreck.  The wreck by the way is nice but way too crowded at anytime.  We tried night day mornining.  Some days there were 60 divers+.  The cobllestone entry sucks big time especially with swells so bring or rent booties.  Even though the diving was super cheap we just gave up and sat around the pool and got massages.    For that this place is great.  Would definitely go back again for R and R.  Such great value for huge clean rooms that overlook the ocean and beautiful sunsets.  Restaurant was decent.  Took private transport there and hotel transport back.

relaxing getaway

The rooms are clean and the staff are very friendly.  Nothing is too much trouble.  The gardens are well kept and the pool is lovely although in direct sunlight almost all of the day.  TDR restaurant serves great food and you are a short walk into the village where you can eat at other warungs. The WiFi can be very slow in the rooms but it works fine out by the pool area.  we will definitely go back another time!

We stayed here in April 2017 for 10 days

We stayed for 10 nights in April 2017.  This small resort was perfect for us: new, clean, small, comfortable and quaint at an attractive price point.  Breakfast was included and was very decent.  We dived in the area and very much enjoyed our stay.
