Such a lovely hotel nestled into Monkey Forest Ubud. It’s situated on the lively high street with bars, shops & restaurants but overlooks the forest at the back which is so peaceful.
We stayed in a superior room which was huge and probably the loveliest hotel room we’ve ever stayed in.
The staff were so friendly and attentive.
We also had a top class massage in the Spa which I recommend.

As a group of professional photographers travelling to capture the people and cultures of the world it was great to stay at a traditional guest house in Ubud and enjoy an authentic Balinese experience. The rooms at The Village were clean, spacious, comfortable and affordable, ticking all the right boxes. It's a beautiful, characteristic village, it looks like you're in a forest, but you're not attacked by mosquitoes.

Comfort and Kindness

Yanik and all the staff are great, breakfast good and plenty of cold bintangs that you selfserve from the fridge and just write down on your pad on the table
Yanik also will provide transport to any venues or airport at reasonable cost

A great holiday

The accommodation is nice, clean enough, comfortable bed. We regret that the towels were not changed when we spent 5 nights there and we put them on the ground so that they were. The shower gel was practically empty and we were never added to it. We also found ourselves without toilet paper. There is also a problem with the smell of drainage. Breakfast is correct and the staff is nice. Regarding the swimming pool, it doesn't necessarily make you feel very hungry even if the water is actually clean. Ubud is really very accessible and convenient as a city. Don't hesitate to shop and massage there because there are many good choices and prices (you have to lose when you trade) it's nice to go to the rivers, to the streets and even to go to the shopping streets.

Good location

Look no further and book here! Wonderful place, location, family and staff that are extremely helpful and accommodating. They helped us book an airport transportation, cooking class, fire dance, rice field and water temple tour. Rooms are outfitted with AC and good Wi-Fi connection. Great location and walking distance to all of Ubud’s Greatness.

I am so happy I found this place! Simple, clean, affordable and a lovely lush and peaceful oasis from the busy streets of Ubud. It was great to experience coming home to a traditional family compound and I always felt so welcome by the staff.  The room was big and I particularly liked having a personal patio to sit out on and be close to the rain yet stay dry. There was a great cafe just a five minute stroll down the road too which was perfect for breakfast!

Perfect for our needs!

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights at the end of august. The location of this hotel is great and very central however… 

The pictures make the hotel and pool look a lot more luxurious than they actually are. 

The grounds of the hotel are very pretty, however could do with some tidying up. The pool and water features were covered in algae. 

The rooms are extremely basic and do not come with a fridge or a safe. The bedding was changed daily, however each day we were given bedding with stains on it. 

Whilst staying there we also never received any fresh towels. 

Our breakfast was fine, however we have had better whilst staying in ubud.

Disappointed

Guesthouse very nice and special. The room was very well furnished but the bathroom can be improved. In general the room is very very wet but we are still in Ubud. Wifi ok. The hotel has a small swimming pool and offers a good breakfast service to choose from (you have to choose from 4 proposals the evening before).

Stay well

Room: nice simple but very acceptable room. Good bed, clean. I had the room facing the pool very nice view of the pool. Simple decoration but nothing missing. Pool,: practice water good temperature. Nice garden when entering the guest house. Typical ambiance. Rental: everything is done on foot. 3 minutes from the main street. Noisy street Lunch: good breakfast fruit or eggs there is nothing missing. Courteous staff. In summary excellent price quality.
