Gading Homestay welcomed us with open arms and really treated us like family. Jud, the son who handles most of the day to day, is a very genuine, kind person. It was always nice to see him and talk with him. Breakfast was delicious and very vegan friendly. I also want to thank the rest of his family, especially his sweet mother, for their part in making our stay beautiful. Whether it was coming home to a spotless, clean room or simply being greeted with a friendly smile and a “How are you”, I felt very at peace at Gading Homestay. The location is nice too, just a ten minute walk from the Yoga Barn. I wish Jud and his family lots of luck, success, and happy times for the future. Thank you!

Wonderful stay and wonderful family!

The host was super friendly with an open heart, always ready to help,the breakfast served was filling with variety of options to choose from and the ambience was great with the sound of stream flowing nearby, the service was wonderful and they wer ready to do anything with a smile on their face👌

Best stay during bali vacation

Warm welcome and lovely staff (all of the family). Everytime we made a request, they stop their current activity to help us. 

Very cheap and pleasant accommodation : beautiful property where the whole family (every generations) seems to share the same property, very clean, spacious, big water distributor available in the room, mosquito net, aircon etc... We lacked nothing.

Very nice homestay

The place itself is a pretty good budget place to stay and looks like a good value for money. I booked based on many great reviews and exceptionally high score. 
In a week after I stayed at this homestay, I wrote a pretty neutral and honest review on booking.com, thinking that it may help to improve the service. And that day the owner Yudi started writing me pretty offensive messages in Whatsapp.  
This is really disturbing and I think other travellers should know about this. 
Based on this extremely unpleasant outcome, I think that staying here was an unfortunate mistake.

The owner Yudi is unstable, be careful.

We spend 3 nights in the homestay and we didn’t want to leave.
It is amazing! Room is a very big with a big bathroom.... and the view is wonderfull. 😊
Every morning we got a delicious and healthy breakfast to Our room. 
The host, Yudi is very friendly and helpful! If I was any question He helped me immediatelly.

Simply Wonderfull

We stayed at the Gading Homestay for 3 nights at the beginning of June. The host Yudi and his family are extremely kind and welcoming.  Yudi’s mother Ketut, was incredibly sweet.  The rooms were spacious and very clean.  The breakfast served at the veranda was always fresh and very tasty.  The garden and nature around the bungalow was beautiful.  The creek with a small waterfall behind the villa provided amazing and peaceful background sound. 
It was an incredible Bali experience and we strongly recommend this place for your next stay.   Our trip wouldn’t be the same without this incredible exposure to real Balinese life and this wonderful accommodation. Thank you Yudi and family!  We hope to see you again one day...:)

Most wonderful experience in Bali

We booked Deluxe double room with balcony for two nights with above mentioned homestay. The deal included double room with bathtub, balcony and kitchenette facilities. When we arrived, the owner took us to the room with no balcony or kitchenette. When we asked for clarification, he said he gave the room to someone else, who booked with him directly day before, and in the evening that day he saw our booking, but didn't bother to tell us that room we chose was no longer available. He also said something like 'you don't like it, cancel it, I have someone for this room already (!!!???)'. He told us we can use his questionable kitchen, and again we can just cancel and go somewhere else. Overall we decided to cancel the booking and went to place we knew from our earlier visit in Ubud. The facilities at mentioned accomodation are good, clean, but owners attitude was what made us cancel and we would never go back there again.

Overbooked room

Quiet, clean and quaint tropical setting. We extended our stay one week in the lower bedroom, which was super comfy and spacious. Breakfast was excellent and Host Yudi is hospitable, attentive and informative. Be warned, there are several stairs to descend and climb to access. Location is a bit far from main Ubud sites if walking, but we enjoyed the daily walk to the morning market! At the time, there was one issue. The water in the bathroom smelled like curry, was yellow and drained slowly from the shower-tub. Even so, I would stay here again. It was home away from home, thanks Yudi!

Quiet Charm with Steep Stairs

Harry and I stayed here in August for 3 nights. The manager of the venue is called Yudi and he is so accommodating and friendly. He catered to our needs making us a delicious breakfast on the balcony every morning. He kindly dropped us off at restaurants for dinner. The room was spacious, clean and comfy with a lovely balcony and amazing value for money. Yudi's family were also extremely nice and friendly. I would highly recommend staying in this venue when in Ubud.

JUST PERFECT!

It's a bit hard to find but once we got to our room we were stoked with the view. It's a beautiful place, very quiet, clean and comfy. The breakfast was served in our privet balcony which was really nice.  The family is VERY friendly and near by there are shops, restaurants and Yoga centre and you can also rent a scooter there. Will definitely  go back with more time.
