The owner and the staff are super nice. The staff made amazing breakfast and were so attentive to all my needs! The pool area is great and so are the views from the upstairs rooms! (Not that downstairs is bad, as you can see the ricefields from there! My stay was short mainly because the matress at the room I was staying at, didn't work for my back. But we all have such different tastes in beds, I would not discard the place based on this review. Also this was the double bed room, with fan so it's very possible the other rooms had better beds. The doubleroom with ac is big and has even a fridge in it (though at the tame it smelled a bit funky. But it was rainy season, this could be totally different in the summer). The bedsheets did have some stains on them, but that's most of Bali as finding accommodation with stainless sheets is bit of a challenge in any case. So if you're on a budget, I would definitely look into this place as it is secluded, you can't hear the traffic. You will get all the relaxation and fantastic breakfast in the sun, also it's about 5 min walk to yoga barn. 

Absolutely worth taking a look at if on budget

Nice large, clean room with a hot shower and balcony for some evening drinks. It's down off the main road so you don't ha e to worry about noise other than the ducks. The staff seem nice but we're also a bit confused st times, we got charged different prices by different people. They bring up hot drinks in the morning (7:30am) and ask what you Wang for breakfast which they cook and bring up to your balcony. The pancakes are very tasty. They currently building a swimming pool which will really make this place.

Lovely peaceful stay

I booked through Hostelworld. I got a room for my girlfriend and I. They told us our room had a kitchen... it just ended up being a kitchen sink with counter space haha. Not much cooking going on in there. We got room 2, which the entrance door was difficult and needed patients to get into each time, AND the overhead fan was really rowdy and noisy. We decided not to use that fan and asked for a side fan, which they brought to us. Upon entering the room, it smelled of artificial fragrance- like an air freshener. I found a bag of glad air freshener and sat it outside the door since those things make me sick.

I ended up extending my stay longer. It's not a crazy luxurious place to stay, but it's cheap, safe and the complimentary breakfast is good.

My last night being there, I came back to my room and smelled the air freshener scent again. It was super strong. Using the fan, and opening the windows didn't help. Turns out someone cleaning the room sprayed air freshener all in. After about a hour I had a headache and asked the girls at the front desk if I could have another room, they put me in room 1- I actually had a fridge, so I stored leftovers in there, the doors were easier to lock, there was no smell and the overhead fan worked just fine.

Wifi worked great here too.

I'd say if you don't mind a bare bones room, this place is great... especially since it's a stones throw from the Yoga Barn. 

Modest place to stay in Bali

Bathroom basic but shower worked well, hot water available at all times too. It smelt a little funny when we first arrived but we kept the door open and it was fine after.

There were some ants around - but what do people expect for accommodation overlooking a rice field?

Staff were really friendly - there were some language barriers but not significant. They organised an airport transfer for my friend, brought hot water for teas whenever I asked for it and breakfast was wonderful too (banana pancakes and fruit, brought to your balcony).

It is located in downtown Ubud but we had no trouble walking 15 minutes to central Ubud.

Good value for money

For its price point this is a perfect Ubud stay. We stayed on a top level air con room (recommend) and were walk ins (don't bother booking around SE Asia). Our room was clean, set off the main road and situated in the middle of a rice paddy! So beautiful to fall asleep and wake up to birds, crickets and the mountain breeze. That said it is SO close to the heart of Ubud.

Our hosts were very accommodating- the English was better than you would expect for a relatively rural, mountainous, farming town in a non - English speaking country (get over it people). 

All in all a fantastic experience. Would stay again anytime.
