Clean, very safe, excellent position,  air conditioned rooms at a bargain price. 
Jesse all chalet’s with private bath and balcony are set in delightful gardens.  

A family run business that genuinely works hard to ensure you have a good experience. 

You can leave luggage with them if you are doing a side trip.

Wonderful stay!

Place is beautiful, a very green garden with birds sound.
The family who runs it is lovely and helpful.
Location is perfect, near the main road in Ubud full of restaurants and shops.

There is a good breakfast with toast, eggs and fruits. But if you’re used with a big breakfast (like me), you can buy it yourself in a near grocery store.

The room was in perfect condition and there is a daily cleaning included.

Value for money. We had rooms bit deeper into premise, was quiet with some self catering facilities. Nice small breakfast. They assisted us with renting scooters for 60 per day and shuttle from airport and to next destination. Friendly hostess

Stay in ubud

Gusti Kaler is owned and run by a delightful Balinese family.  They are truly honest and welcoming hosts.  On arrival they asked if I would care to come with them to see the Full Moon celebrations at the temple.  They dressed me appropriate attire and off we went.  A very interesting experience with wonderful photo opportunities. Thank you so much for that Gusti. 
The guesthouse is a series of discretely laid out units set in a nice garden.  I only saw one mosquito in my ten day stay and I slept with the windows and door open.  Security is good and I was comfortable leaving my documents, money and expensive camera gear in the room.  The type of guest staying there and the families watchfulness made me totally at ease.  My friend, who is paranoid about these things soon came to the same conclusion, but in any case there is a strong padlock is on the door.  Each unit has a sitting out area and at night there were very few insects and I had my own friendly frog and a couple of geckos to keep me company. The furniture is basic but adequate.  The beds are soft - especially compared to Thailand style.  There are several power plugs including one outside on the porch area.  The plugs are the two pin round prong variety.  There is a short but adequate breakfast menu and breakfast was delivered.  A large thermos of hot water is provided and free tea and coffee for each unit.  Bathrooms are clean and quite large with hot water.  The room was fan only but they have aircon in some rooms.  In the end of March it was very hot with the humidity up around 94% during the day but I found the rooms reasonable at night.  Gusti can pick you up and deliver you to and from the airport.  The charge is the same as a local taxi but a lot nicer.  As a local he knows the where everything is.  This is not a pushy family.  I was never asked if I wanted to go on tours or visit shops although I am sure they could arrange or suggest many options. They have a scooter for hire but suggested I use the  shop over the road for what I wanted.  Two doors up there is an excellent and very cheap laundry that stem wands the creases out and dries your clothes properly.  Good luck trying to get your clothes dry if you do your own washing.  Trust me, it isn't worth the effort, have the laundry do it.  One day turn around less in emergency.  At $1US for shirts and assorted underwear it was good value.  Opposite is a handy local shop that sell some of the things you would find in a tiny seven eleven.  There are several excellent restaurants and coffee houses on the street.  The street is also wide enough to get a bus up and down - some streets in Ubud are not. Housekeeping was done everyday.

It’s really the best guest house what I every been. Very clean, nice room, with fantastic view, nice nature in the yard, I really feel like in amazing Bali. And I tell all my friends about friendly amazing people what working in this guest house, they are really not regular staff, they are part of my vacation. Next time in Ubud I definitely  will stay in Gusti Kaler.

Amazing 

Highly recommended! We booked for two nights and stayed one month. We were at the end of our travels and just wanted to chill prior to our return home. Nyoman and her family were welcoming and helped us with any request we had. The bed was super comfortable, we had our own private terrace, and breakfast served daily. The guesthouse is ideally located off the main street, so you can walk everywhere. Despite its location it was very quiet, with the peace and tranquility here just what we needed, and we will be back!

Oasis of tranquility

So close to the center this is a really beautiful, also traditional and peaceful place where stay in Ubud. Friendly owners, really clean the room and good breakfast in the morning. Happy to my stay here

Amazing

We stayed here for a few nights over Christmas and it great! The family are so friendly and helpful, the breakfast was served right on your balcony whenever you were ready and was tasty, plenty of choice. Our room was huge, the water was hot and the fan worked well! We even had a nice outside seat in addition to the chair and tables which was great. Definitely recommend.

Lovely little oasis

We stayed at Gusti Kaler twice during our vacation. There are a couple of houses in a beautiful garden. Some with fan and some with ac. 
The rooms are clean, breakfast is served on your own terasse and the family is very kind and helpful. 
It is a quiet neighborhood yet the centre is in short walking distance.

Perfectly simple

We went there for holiday. We arrived at night and welcomed by Pak Gusti Kaler himself. We had a couple minutes of warm talk and felt like home already by his and her wife warm heartfelt welcome. The hotel run by him ans his family. We learned about his persistent in establishing this  business.

The complex is quite spacious. They got their own mini yet intriguing temple and each villa adjoint with beautiful gardens. Lots of vegetation. Staff are so friendly and caring.Foods are yummy.

They will make sure your comfort. Prices suit everyone's pocket even backpakers. For such affordable price, we were surprised by our villa which has so spacious bedroom, bathroom, living room & kitchen....just marvelous.
