This is the second time we stayed at Angsoka Bungalow and we loved it us much as the first time! The place is a bit outside of Ubud but still close-by, and it’s a small paradise! There is a small river and jungle-like atmosphere just in front of the place, and you can hear only the sounds of jungle and nature without any traffic noise, it’s delightful! They had a mosquito net in front of the balcony door which allowed us to sleep with open windows and AC off as it was still cool enough at night, and we could fall asleep feeling as if we were in a deep jungle :)
The breakfast is served in their beautiful garden and is very delicious with fresh fruits and juices and various options, and the great people working there are always helpful and friendly and make this place even more special! The infinity pool, the garden and surroundings are very beautiful! Highly recommended!

Calm Jungle-Paradise close to Ubud Centre

We loved our stay at Angsoka. The deluxe room was beautiful and the views were just breath-taking. The infinity pool is open 24 hours and very quiet and peaceful and perfect for that gorgeous instagram shot over-looking the jungle. There's a hidden gem 💎  where you can adventure through the jungle from the hotel down to a stream. 
The rooms were clean but lots of bugs as you can imagine in the jungle! Breakfast was great, I just wish it was earlier the timings, as we only got it once as we were out exploring every day. Overall fabulous though, great location and we will forever remember those views. 

Breath-taking views 💚

Very beautiful property a bit outside of Ubud, spacious room, jungle surroundings, clean pool with amazing view of the jungle, friendly, welcoming and very helpful staff team (they helped us organizing all our transfers and taxis, even one early in the morning to go to Campuhan Ridge Walk at Sunrise). We could really relax at this place and enjoy the calm surroundings :)
We booked the room with the jungle view from the bathroom and a large terrace where we enjoyed sunsets and sunrises. The view from the room, from the pool and also from the breakfast location is amazing!
It was helpful to know that they only serve breakfast, we therefore planned to eat dinner in Ubud Centre. We can really recommend this hotel if you prefer to stay a bit outside of the hustle and bustle of Ubud and enjoy the view of nature during the time you‘re at the hotel, and you‘re still close enough to go to Ubud Centre with a taxi and can do all the usual things (rice terrace walks, Campuhan Ridge Walk, discover Ubud with it‘s markets and temples, enjoy a great dinner at one of the restaurants, etc.). For us it was perfect and we would definitely like to come back if we are coming to Ubud again one day :)

Comfortable and quiet jungle Paradise near Ubud

Angsoka Bungalow is such a beautiful family-owned resort, and I will be booking again next time I am in Ubud. It is tucked away in the jungle out of the hustle and bustle of the main city centre, but close enough to be able to easily travel into the main centre. The location is surrounded by nature with a stunning infinity pool overlooking the jungle and old rice fields with a river below. It was so relaxing to stay here. The staff were the kindest people who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. I became quite sick after eating out one night and the staff helped to organise a doctor to come to the room, made me food I could eat while I was recovering, and brought me anything else I needed to the room. I can't thank them enough for the kindness they showed and help they provided. If you are looking for a relaxed place and want to feel in touch with nature while still being within reach of all of Ubud's must-see locations, then I highly recommend you book here, you won't regret it!

Beautiful, relaxing retreat!

Outstanding  surroundings in pure nature- very much in the jungle, so quite an authentic experience. Beautiful rooms and ours was very private with a lovely private terrace. Pool area is stunning with jungle infinity pool. 

Unbelievable service - warm, friendly and very attentive. What a lovely family. Brother Putu couldn’t do enough for us and organised his friend to be our driver for the day and the chap was fantastic (His name is Wyan) He took us to multiple places for a set fare for 5 hours but as we wanted to see more he stayed on an extra 2 without question and didn’t ask for more money (unbelievable kindness) and seemed shocked when we offered him more. 

Putu’s sisiter is the loveliest person with the warmest smile. The breakfast is very good - excellent strong Bali coffee (quite muddy towards the end) but they happily gave me a little jug of hot water each time. The banana pancakes are out of this world and a must. 

Some things that would improve the experience - the room was beautiful but did have a strong smell of damp throughout ( it is in the jungle ) some incense throughout the room and bathroom would have helped. 

There is no facilities for snacks or drinks in the evening. Putu is always there so a little honesty bar with a fridge of cold drinks and snacks would be a great idea. We arrived very hungry and couldn’t get any food. 

It’s out the way of the centre or any goings on but it really doesn’t matter if you have a driver. If you arrive late at night, make sure you eat before you get there.

Fantastic place to stay

Very nice experience where we rest a bit away from the effervecence of the center of Ubud. Very nice place, people, food, clean rooms, wonderful pool, nothing to say we really enjoy our 5 nights there, thank you for your hospitality ! We will not hesitate to come back for our next trip in Bali.

Peaceful and lovely place.

Honest recommendation for the infinity pool facing jungle view. Which cost a lot on earthquake preventing,the pride of owner.

Friendly reception（1am check-in,early breakfast), tidy room,natural design and it was really a good breakfast.


The best cost performance bungalow for leisure trip in ubud

Good things 
- infinite Swimming pool
- real nature and peaceful resort (there’s only 8 rooms)
- cheap price (1 normal room is 80 S$)
- free breakfast (a la cart)
- helpful and friendly staffs (putu drove us to the city and taxi back cost 50k Rp)
- clean room and many towels

Cons
- far from city (but it’s good if u like peaceful place)
- no credit card (only cash)
- Not many amenities

Angsoka Bungalow is a lovely little hotel not too far out from Ubud. Set back from the road in a forest basin it really is a slice of paradise. Enjoy the peaceful sounds of the forest whilst relaxing in the infinity pool. Breakfast is a simply delicious with a choice of a variety of eggs and our personal favourite the banana pancakes. The staff are lovely and so helpful. Stay here you won't regret it! 

Beautiful

We found Angsoka by online reviews and stayed there for 5 nights as part of our honeymoon. It's an amazing peaceful place just 5 minutes away from the center. They have a shuttle service for their guests and compared to city center, it was a great idea to stay there. 
The gentleman called Putu assisted us with everything. He was very helpful, friendly & thoughtful. Just whatsapp him and let him arrange your transportation, tickets for ferries or activities in the city, or even their scooter. He always arranged us the most reasonable & professional options. Their breakfast is fine: any style eggs or pancakes, fruit plate and fresh juice.. Rooms were very clean although you are almost  in the middle of the forest. Especially No insects at all !
One of the best thing is their infinity pool which you may use for 24 hr - at night while watching the stars and listening to the forest..
Angsoka was a great choice. I recommend for anyone. Once again thanks to Putu and his family !
