We are experienced travellers and our booking for five nights at Ubud  Bungalows was a return visit.
I booked direct with Wayan, the owner of Ubud Bungalows, communication for arrangements was great and room, rates (very reasonable) and transfers were arranged easily.
 We stayed this time in the newer ssss type accommodation. 
On a previous visit we stayed  very happily in one of the original traditional Balinese   bungalows, which have been recently renovated.
Accommodation. 
Spotlessly clean, which is important to us, and is serviced daily, spacious, good storage, light and airy and included air conditioning, fridge with drinking water. Also safety deposit box and outdoor seating area.
Setting.
Perfect spot right in the middle of Monkey Forest Road so easy to walk to everything including The Yoga Barn. Lots of quality shopping opportunities and massage etc in very close proximity. Supermarket with cash machine and shops for drinks and snacks, handy to sit outside the bungalow and enjoy. There are many reasonably priced restaurants very close also.
Although in the main  street once you cross the gate into the accommodation everything is oddly so quiet and peaceful.
Breakfast. A basic breakfast is included in the room rate and the setting for this is amazing, looking out over the natural flora and fauna valley area.
Staff. Everyone is so helpful and will sort out any questions or help with tour advice etc.
Well worth a good tip.
Wayan collected us from the airport (normal  car) and then took us on at the end of our stay to our other accommodation in Bali. He was wonderful, efficient, waiting patiently while we went though the airport. The transfer down south was fun as this was in Wayan’s  immaculate Volkswagen camper van and added to our holiday experience.
Overall, Ubud Bungalows are comfortable, secure, clean and convenient offering a wonderful home while in Ubud and we will definitely be returning.

Amazing, comfortable and friendly place

Stayed in the ubud bungalow in January.   It's an amazing place.  The staff are very friendly.

We booked a deluxe room with a bath which was amazing.

The location is perfect, it's close by to restaurants and bars but its quiet. 

I'll stay here again when we come back.

Make sure you have the pancakes for breakfast and try the noodles.

Time and Time Again! Never fails! 

This place was a gem, central to everything, markets, forest, shops n restaurants ,quiet off the street rooms, pool , the most quiet peaceful breakfast area of our whole trip. Our room was 5 star as per pic, air con , big shower, really Really REALLY great place to stay. The owner 'Wayan' was also a really nice bloke, definitely give this a go

Simply one of the best in Ubud

We stayed 3 nights at Ubud bungalow as an extended family of 9. We all stayed in different rooms as some wanted only fans and other wanted aircon. We loved our stay here, the rooms are just off the street but very quiet- we didn’t here any street noise. All of the staff are amazing and go out of their way to accomodate your requests. We loved the pool and were able to cool off in it and relax by it in the afternoon. They organised a trip to the water temple with a driver Wayan which was amazing. I can’t recommend this place enough. If you come to Ubud stay here you won’t regret it. 

Fantastic place to stay in Ubud 

Have only had a 3 night stay. LOVED It. Staff are wonderful. Monkeys .......CHEEKY!!! Wayan our driver and who works there is wonderful. Took us to the water temple and was a wealth of knowledge and so lovely.  You must visit the monkey forest and the water temple.  Beautiful place, beautiful people.

Checked in at Ubud Bungalows and stayed 2 nights! Room was very good, very clean bathroom witb outdoor shower, very friendly staff and okay breakfast. For sure we like to recommend this spot as the location makes it perfect!!

We have now stayed in all 3 types of accommodation and can honestly say 
"Stay here when in Ubud" 
Comparing its attributes to all similar properties Wayan and his team win hands down.
The immaculate gardens are but a small indication of the total positives of this property.
Of course location is central to all of Ubud's eateries and points of interest and yet extremely quiet for a well needed relaxing sleep.
Standard, superior or deluxe rooms all are ideal for the discerning traveller and that included breakfast just Yummy.

Value for money. Clean Tidy & Very comfortable. 

We are a couple travelling through Indonesia over a period of two weeks, and for the first time without our children.  We stayed in a number of accommodation places through the country and experienced a variety which gives us a good point of comparison.

Ubud Bungalow was a wonderful place to stay, right in the heart of Ubud itself with the main attractions within walking distance.  The rooms were great, lovely and spacious, and the breakfasts excellent.  Breakfast starts at 7am, but we were able to sweet talk the staff into a starting a bit earlier on the day we left (as we had to leave prior to 7am for transfer to the airport).  The only downside – and we are being very picky – is that the staff didn’t seem to be aware or unwilling to provide transport options around Bali.  They were happy to order taxis to various locations, but had no advice on significantly cheaper shuttle options – which you can easily organise out on the street.  Apart from that, absolutely no complaints and we would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Nice and quiet, yet in the middle of downtown Ubud

We booked Ubud bungalow not really knowing what to expect. Our last trip to Ubud we stayed in a few different expensive hotels and this trip we wanted to be on more of a "budget" for lodging. We chose the Ubud Bungalow based on their certificate of excellence and great reviews.  There are 2 different options, the newer rooms or the older Bali style rooms, (all look good) but we prefer a nice bathroom, shower, fast wifi, a/c etc. We booked the superior room for about $50.00usd and were so happy. Our room was way nicer than we were expecting. It was super clean and fast wifi. We were on the 2nd floor near the entrance to the bungalow with a view of the gardens/walkway.  The bunglow is long and narrow so a little walk to the pool and to the dining area.  Daily breakfast was great, with a menu of about 4 different items to choose from. This was also nice since we just came from a resort with an all you can eat breakfast so at the bungalow we were offered a plate of fruit, nasi goring, a fruit smoothie and coffee every morning. We enjoyed meeting and talking with the other guests each morning, a few guests we met were regulars and have stayed at Ubud Bungalow for 10+ years.  The pool was clean and nice to go for a swim after walking around Ubud all day. Ubud Bungalow is in a GREAT location, close to the monkey forest, right next to great restaurants and shops. On our last morning, the bungalow arranged for a driver to take us to Sanur to catch our boat to Lembongan. Our driver WYAN was amazing, we are so happy to have met him. He is from Ubud and has soooo much interesting infomation about Bali, Ubud, and can answer any question you have. I totally recommend booking a tour with Wyan, you will not be disappointed. The bungalow staff was great and was always ready to assist when we needed anything. We would definitely stay here again and recommend the Ubud Bungalow 100%.  We loved our stay and will be back.
