We stayed there 5 nights, this place is amazing. Very clean, breakfast is delicious, we tried everything. Banana pancakes are my favourite. Staff was really polite and helpful. The owner Pasek was really nice man, he arranged us a tranport from Seminyak to Ubud. Our driver Agung was really funny and we liked him, he took us to the beautiful places near Ubud. If I ever come back to Bali I will go there. Thanks for everything. 

Beautiful place

Amazing little tucked away oasis.  There is a jacuzzi in the leafy garden and 3 little bungalows to choose from.  The staff are so helpful and friendly and helped us with everything we needed including figuring out a late night meal at 10;30 pm.  The gardens are sweet and breakfast is on time - at your request.  Right in the middle of Monkey Forest Rd but set back down a lane and far way from noise - it’s actually a perfect stay.  A little box includes map, books, poetry, torch and some nice touches. Hosted by the loveliest Balinese staff.

Thanks to Juli and the obliging staff for making our stay a memorable one. I had stayed here previously, finding it somewhat by chance, and immediately fell in love with the tranquil surrounds and relaxing atmosphere. And it is so close to most attractions in Ubud, which you can easily walk to.
The plantings had grown higher since my last stay and now resemble a lush tropical garden. The accommodation itself is beautifully presented in traditional Balinese style, private and conducive to rest. Just what is required on a holiday.

Juli is a wonderful host full of knowledge and information about Ubud which she graciously shares.

I plan to return regularly.

quality accommodation in magic setting away from the bustle of the main road

One word, awesome!! We have been there a week and enjoyed the picturesque atmosphere in every corner there. 
Good and friendly service, they decorate the room with the flowers from the garden.
Unfortunately we had not the time for the jacuzzi. 
Definitely recommend! 

Peaceful oasis

We stayed for 3 nights in late August when Ubud was probably at its busiest but still couldn't hear the noise from the main streets because of the courtyard location behind the other buildings.

We loved our stay so much in the standard room that we came back and stayed in the deluxe room for another 3 nights a few weeks later as part of a long trip to Bali.

The rooms are clean and comfortable and the garden setting is beautiful. Jacuzzi in the garden is a bonus.

The deluxe room is well worth the extra money as it's beautiful and has the added benefit of a Mosquito net over a four poster bed.

Breakfast like most places in Bali is included in the price, fresh and tasty.

The location is great for all of Ubud, very central to all the main sites.

Julie is a great host and will help explain lots about the area and culture. The team can also help organise day tours with one of their lovely local drivers.

Lots of good restaurants within 10min walk and all the good bars, most with great live music, within 5min walk of the accommodation.

There's a 24hour shop and good laundrette both very close which was useful.

We were a twenty-something couple on our honeymoon but this accommodation would suit any type of guest.

 Perfect location

I stayed here in October 2016 for 5 nights. Rumah Jepun is perfectly located just off the main road to Monkey Forest and is surprisingly quiet. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful too. They ordered us a car to pick us up from the airport which went very smoothly. They also organised our transport and tickets to get to the Gili Islands and made everything stress-free!

The included breakfast was delicious and bedroom & bathroom was a great size for a couple and very clean. Would highly recommend this place if you're staying in Ubud!

Fantastic place to stay in Ubud!

Love the place. in the middle of ubud (the place in on jl monkey forest)but at the same time very peaceful.
The owner is very nice and the room is comfortable.
Loved listening to the birds in the afternoon.  

super cute place

I stayed with my boyfriend at rumah jepun 2 nights and added 1 more we enjoyed a lot.
We felt like at home. Gede and Ketut are very lovely. Always available to help you and make your stay confortable.
The way people live there is eco-responsable. Relations are based on trust, and mutual respect. I appreciated this way or thinking.
This house built by Julie in 2011 ( the owner) and his friends is a jewel with a wonderful exotic garden.
It is well located, very close to monkey forest and the main street with shops restaurants...but behind it : very quiet.
You HAVE to taste breakfast with balinese fried banana (pisang goreg) made home so delicious! 
All your needs are anticipated : umbrella, torch, touristic information, product against mosquitos.... and other funny items... you will have to come to know what....
