We loved our room with the mango tree in the bathroom. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was good. The pool was clean and the rooms very comfortable. Good value...quiet and sweet. A short trip by Grab to Prambanan was worth it too.

Excellent value

Very good place to stay when you visit Yogyakarta. The crew of ViaVia Guesthouse are very welcoming, kind and helpful. They really help you to make the best out of your visit. The crew answers very quick on WhatsApp, through which you can also make a reservation. 

Located in neighborhood full of bars and restaurant, 30 minutes walking from the center of the village. In the garden, you can enjoy the calm within the city, by having a drink or taking a swim. The breakfast was wonderful every morning, from omelet to pancakes and sandwiches. The place was clean and tidy. Don’t expect luxury, but is was very comfortable and cosy. Good spot!

Via Via was a great place to stay in Yogyarkarta.  Close to good restaurants, bars and attractions.  Our room was quite dark but we spent most of our time out and about or in the gardens by the pool.  Staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful with organizing transportation or giving advice of where to shop and how much to pay.

Great oasis in the middle of Yogyarkarta

Located in Prawirotaman, the best area for tourists to stay in Yogjakarta with some bars and a lot of good restaurants. But the guesthouse is located in a quiet sidelane, some 100 meters from the main road. Good and clean room with aircon, nice breakfast included and even a pool to take dip after a hot day. But the best thing about the guesthouse is the extremely helpful staff who are willing to help you with all your questions about Yogja, transport etc. They also run a travel agency a few hundred meters from the guesthouse with a helpful and knowledgeable staff

Nice guesthouse at a perfect location

Great place! The pool is a bonus though be careful not to get the disinfectant in your eyes as it blurred my vision for half an hour after. it's in a great location for the bars and restaurants yet is very peaceful. however there is a mosque nearby so that means some noise at certain times! staff are very friendly and everything is well looked after and well kept.  totally recommend!!!!

Very impressed...

Hostel is clean, nice pool area, kind staff. Breakfast ok.
I had a private room with outside bathroom. 
It was okay, even if it is directly on the street so a bit noisy and also this room was close to the entrance so I was hearing almost all the conversations at the reception desk.
No mosquito nest (and there were a lot of mosquitos, like everywhere in this rainy season).

Staff has been really nice, they ordered a taxi for me with go-jeck application so I saved a lot of money (cost of 54000 instead of 150000 with a transfer, like I did previously in OSTIC house).

Good stay

Facilities are very nice and clean. Very friendly staffs. Good location, just very few steps to many attractions. There is nice pool and a huge pillow outside you can chill out all day and night. Very recommend this place!

Best place in best spot

Viavia is a small scale guesthouse, situated in a popular touristy street in Yogya. The quiet garden with pool offers a welcome rest from the busy streets. Staff is super friendly, breakfast ok (if you need to get up super early, they even give you a breakfast pack to go). I had a double room with a cool open air bathroom. Everything was ok, but don't expect anything fancy. The room was small and simply furnished. It could do with a new layer of paint and the sheets, even if clean, were slightly stained and even had some holes in them. Apart from those details, I warmly recommend to stay there - and not to forget, to check out the ViaVia cafe,fairtrade shop and restaurant a bit further down the street. You can also book really good tours with them.

Nice and quiet guesthouse

I stayed together with my three teenaged children in ViaVia. Everything went perfect for us. The rooms are simple but clean. We especially liked the garden and pool. The location is very good with lots of restaurants and shopping close by. Best of all was the staff. I cannot imagine anybody more friendly. We felt very welcome. We had no complains and highly recommend this place.

Very nice guesthouse, great staff

It depends on what you search for. Viavia guesthous has basic rooms, with everything you need. We stayed 4nights, and I could sleep well. And felt always comfortable. The service and friendliness is outstanding. staff has a very good knowledge. Beakfast is good for me :) I can fully recommend this guesthous!
