I stayed (unfortunately) only for a night and the place was amazing. While being near around many places to visit in Yogyakarta, it was in quite neighborhood. The staffs were really helpful and the owner was so kind. I’d love to stay here if I have another chance to visit Yogya, and hope this time longer than before.

Great Place to Stay

I had a comfortable weekend here. stayed 2 nights with my fams. There are lots of restaurants & cafe (local & western food) near by, and quite near from jogja' icon like taman sari and the palace. The villa has an overall mix of javanese and modern vibes to it. Instagrammable ofcourse! Would love to go back ❤️

Private and strategically placed

This villa was really as what we have expected. It has a private pool and very closed to the Palace. Also near cullinary areas. We could easily order the best food in town by using online provider. Overall we really satisfied staying at this villa and we would like to stay again in the future. We really recommend this vila. Big thanks to Ms. Enda (the very supportive owner)!

Unforgetfull stay at a cozy villa near Palace

Located at the backstreet of tourist area in Yogya, this villa offers serenity but still close enough to be in the center of attractions.

A wonderful villa with excellent staffs. Villa is well up-keep.

There is one thing that can be improved, outdoor area needs more lighting. Such as a lamp post in the garden. That would make the ambience better.

All in all, I really recommend staying at this villa. A good value for your money.

Hidden Gem in the Middle of Yogyakarta

The villa was absolutely beautiful! We were in the Diamond Villa and it had tons of space both in the yard and in the house. Everything was very clean and well maintained. It is an old style villa and it looks just gorgeous. The pool was really nice as well, the water was so warm and it was great to jump in there at the end of the day. I loved that it's a private pool for your own villa, you just get so much privacy it's fantastic. We were also picked up from the airport and scheduled a tour to the temples through the villa as well and everything went very smoothly! The staff were really friendly and helped us out any way they could.

Be aware that you can hear the mosque calls for prayer throughout the day. It didn't bother us at all but light sleepers might want ear plugs (morning calls), which the villa actually offers if you need them. Location has nothing to do with this, literally everywhere you were in the city you could hear the calls for prayer so it's just part of being there. 

I would say the only downside was that the bathroom wall doesn't go all the way up to the ceiling, so you better be comfortable with whoever you're travelling with because you can hear literally everything. Also, the second bedroom shares the 1 bathroom with the mastersuite, and even though the sinks and bathroom are behind the master bedroom wall, some doors to fully separate the master bedroom from the bathroom area would be nice. Other that that, everything was perfect during our stay.

Privacy in an Oasis in the middle of Yogyakarta

Wonderful villa with own pool and small garden. Bathroom with two showers and huge bath tub. Big 200x200 cm bed, comfortable. Kitchen with pots, pans, cups and cutlery. Service around the clock. Secured area with high walls. Please mind, there is a mosque around the corner. But it just adds character, in my opinion!

Breakfast available with small charge. Staff very kind and eager to help. Recommended!

Small minus comes with cleaning, and some spots needs small renovations. 

However, all the restaurants and key sights are around the corner, so the value is good! 

Highly respected privacy in your own house 

 the Gold Villa  and everyone at the Villa were really great. They picked us up from the airport and brought us to the villa in a torrential downpour. I'm glad they did because the villa is down a couple of lane ways and might be a bit hard to locate on ones own. They showed us where everything is located, all of the following are a short stroll away, a fantastic Mediterranean style resturant, Sate Bar, galleries and the Kraton (palace). Dina even lent me her scooter so that we could go to the supermarket for some supplies! 
The Villa itself was really good. Huge main bedroom with comfortable bed and large bathroom and shower. Nice indoor and outdoor eating area. The pool was great to plunge into after a day of exploration along Malioboro street. Everywhere we went the people were so helpful and friendly, like when our navigationally challenged rickshaw driver became lost. 
The only two things on the negative side was the second bedroom with two beds was a bit small for two teenagers. Also there was not enough kitchen items to do any proper cooking. I know most people, like us, would eat out at a nearby warung, but with two teenage boys sometimes they need to be fed asap. 
Once again when I asked for some butter or oil to cook with, the people at the villa were very quick to help. 
All in all I would highly recommend staying at the Villa Pondok Terra. It is a cool calm oasis away from the busy city life.


Cool Calm Oasis

I stayed a few weeks ago in this villa, a jewel in the heart of Yogyakarta. The swimming pool is exceptional and the bed is one of the most comfortable in all the holidays. Also the area is very beautiful and quiet, two steps away you can find Prawirotaman which is a street full of places and good restaurants, away from the chaos of Malioboro. Despite all this I don't feel like recommending it. In the middle of the night, at 4:30, we were woken up from the adjacent mosque, the sound is really loud and it becomes very difficult to sleep, at prices is a necessary information to give, we can't relax during the day and stress ourselves.

Beautiful villa but impossible to sleep

We had rented two villas because we were five. A very nice welcome and a nice discovery in the little alleys of the old town. Very nice decoration even if we excuse a few small restaurants to do again. A very nice pool. Breakfast can be taken on site but I don't recommend it especially. A supernatural charm and a heartbeat assured. Two minutes walk from the Restaurants even if our driver had a lot of trouble finding our villas. Attention: very early morning waking up with the call to prayer from the three mosques around, but like a lot of things to do, especially starting the day early.

a peaceful place in the old town

We had the Gold Villa with an extra small bedroom for two children. The pool is wonderful. The staff is very friendly, the airport pickup has worked very well, and there are drivers who are offered market-friendly prices for excursions. In 3-5 minutes you can get to massage, restaurants and mini market. The only drawback is that the next door calls at 4:15 to pray.
