This review is not easy. The structure is nice and has a pleasant interior terrace. However, we communicated with the language of gestures (I really say) and Google translator. Unfortunately, the owner who spoke perfectly English was in Jakarta, so to talk with the receptionist we had to call the owner outside. In short, it is complicated. It is complicated, according to the city council, that we also spent 3 nights in the building.

Nice structure with different but...

Located in the city center of Yogyakarta (near Malioboro and train station) this small hotel is a perfect place to stay. 
Spacious clean rooms with ac and hot water, very friendly staff who will help you with everything. 


Great place to stay in Yogyakarta city center

Our stay here was absolutely fantastic! 
The hotel is really close to the center. It is about a 10 to 15 minute walk which makes it pretty easy to discover the city! 
The rooms are big and very clean. They have different choices for breakfast. The service is really friendly and helpful. 

Friendly and clean! 

Is a lovely guest house close to the city centre (Malioboro street and Kraton). Is a new residence very clean and quite place, room are large, with AC and very comfortable bathroom.
The manager is really kind and familiar, and he took care of us, answering to our needs and questions. He gave us a lot of advices and suggestions about place to visit, restaurant and things to do.
Staff was very helpful and at our disposal every time.

Place to go, absolutely recommend

We found ourselves very well in this facility, the owner is very kind and available. The rooms are clean, cozy, air conditioned and equipped with all the comforts. The location for breakfast is fantastic, in a delicious garden. It's a pity that the staff speaks very little English, so sometimes it was a bit complicated to ask for directions... highly recommended!

We were lucky enough to stay there for 2 nights. Location: 20 minutes walk from Malioboro, 15 minutes walk from Kraton Common Parts: - Clean, very well maintained - Garden and quiet indoor courtyard - Beautiful decoration Rooms: - Spacious - Ultra comfortable bed - Bedside tables with lamps - Cabinet - Functional air conditioning - Office with mirror - TV - Bathroom: spacious bed, toothbrush, glass of water, soap, real shower, clean toilets The owner is very pleasant, well-groomed, with a good staff angle is very kind, discreet and efficient Little Lunch: ability to eat sugary or salty, coffee in no place, no doubt a place that I would recommend living at the room price of 325000 YRog.

Very nice place. Very clean, spacious room, real bathroom with hot water. Air conditioning working. Staff welcoming. Pretty well located: 15 minutes walk from the kraton, 10 minutes from the center.

Pleasant stay

As we arrived we were greeted by the manager who we sat down with and he gave us information on the area, where to eat and book tours etc. the staff were always helpful, even put our breakfast in a box when we had early tours and it was fresh pastries and cakes from the bakery... Lovely. Big clean room, nice garden. About 15 min walk to the end of the road to Malioboro Road. Would recommend. 

Everything wonderful

I stayed here with my dad in February 2016 for 4 nights. We absolutely loved this little hotel and would highly recommend it! Here are the reasons why......

-Location: Perfect, just a 10 minute walk from Malioboro road, even easier by scooter! 

-Extremely quiet and tranquil: despite its location, it's an oasis of calm. From the moment you turn down its little lane, you will be surprised by the peace. Some people have complained about the call to prayer from the mosque nearby but this didn't interfere with us at all! It was completely spellbinding and created a lovely ambience. Besides, isn't that what you come to Yogyakarta for in the first place? To be submerged in the captivating Javanese culture? It's especially lovely to sit out on the porch of an evening listening to the crickets and the trickling water from a small fountain nearby. 

- Exceptional service: From the moment we arrived we felt warmly welcomed. The manager was there to greet us when we arrived. He sat us down and we had a lovely long chat. We exchanged information about ourselves, and it quickly felt like we were catching up with an old friend. He is a lovely man with an interesting history. He gave us lots and lots of information on Yogyakarta as he is clearly passionate about his city and wanted us to enjoy our stay as much as possible. Every morning after that he would come to see us at breakfast and we would ask his advice on our plans for the day, and each evening we would catch him up on the days events. He even offered to take us with him on a trip he was taking to the north of Java! We unfortunately had to decline as we only had one day of our stay left. He lent us one of his scooters for the whole time we were there, for an extremely reasonable price. That was the highlight of our trip as we were then mobile, and were able to cover huge parts of the area in our small amount of time! One night we tasted some durian a friend had bought over as my dad had never tried it! The other staff are also lovely. Very sweet and attentive, trying their best to make us comfortable even if communication on both parts was sometimes a struggle! 

-Breakfast: I think the hotel will cater for your tastes whatever you are after, but we opted for Indonesian. It was basic; rice, omelette etc, but more than enough. One morning we had the famous gudeg, another sweet cakes. The breakfast changed every day. You don't get a huge amount, don't expect a big buffet or anything, it's just one meal with some fruit, and powdered coffee- but that was more than enough for us. It was actually really nice not to overeat for a change! I had much more energy for the day! 

-Room: Lovely! Spacious, clean, nice touches, but modest. It had a to which we didn't use, and some nice Javanese furniture. We loved sitting out on the porch and spent more time there than anywhere else. The bathroom again was basic but more than enough. The shower doesn't stay a consistent temperature, but this was really the only negative issue. The water is pumped, which explains why the temperature changes. I'd rather stay in those lovely grounds and have the water pumped anyway, it's not worth the sacrifice to stay in a modern but clinical and noisy hotel! 

All in all we had a lovely stay with a truly memorable host who we were sad to leave!  We would return in a heartbeat!
